Family / Children Becoming Parents by senatorbayor(m): 4:28pm On Mar 09, 2016
I had to write on the topic Children becoming parents due to the rate at which children and teenagers are fast becoming nursing mothers and fathers .

The Yinusa and Ese issue added ice to the cream of this topic

I choose this topic to reflect on the societal happenings and the resultant effect of moral decadence in our society.
Permit me to say that I aint gonna dwell on the legal implication of the issue neither the religion aspect as portrayed by the media or who to blame between the girl or the boy child.

I am only dwelling on CHILDREN BECOMING PARENTS which implies that our society is turning to a site for curiosity.
Teenage mothers (% of women ages 15-19 who have had children ...
http://www.tradingeconomics.com/nigeria/teenage-mothers-percent-of-women-ages-15-19-who-have-had-ch

I termed the teens and age bracket below it as children cos majority, if not all are still under the tutelage of their parental care and its sad that the parents are fast becoming grandparents due to their negligence and lack of parental care, influence of the society, failure of the govt and curiosity and high handedness of the children who have decided to throw caution to the wind in their bid to experiment .

Teenage Pregnancy. Who Is To Blame? Parent Or Society ...
https://www.nairaland.com/2362127/teenage-pregnancy-blame-parent-society

These children who are supposed to be in the four walls of the schools seeking knowledge and putting to practice what they have been taught have suddenly become parents or nursing mothers.

Its so sad that the society is not arresting this ugly trend. They seems not to condemned such acts where children are competing with their parents to share the maternity rooms and beds .
A lot of factors have been ascribed to such negative occurrence

TEENAGE PREGNANCY - FACTORS ASSOCIATED WITH ...
http://www.doublegist.com/teenage-pregnancy-factors-teenage-pregnancy/

It’s so sad also that education seems not to be a thing of pride anymore to our children especially those whose societies have added to such woes.
Some of us are products of a hard core society, yet we came out hard and strong not minding the negative societal influence.
But as it stands now, the economy hardship has added salt to the injury of the societal decadence. Parents and guardians have turned their wards to bread winners and have equally lost the capacity to caution or trained these children when the needs arise.

They turned their face around when these children exhibits some funny and condemnable habits just because they have result to rely on these children as bread winners.
By the above (CHILDREN HAVE BECOME PARENTS OF THEIR PARENTS NEGATIVELY)

Parents and Guardians should know that the teen period is the stage of modeling and such time, their mentor-ship is highly needed as a guide.

Most of these children go thru pains and neglect whenever they are either impregnated by their “lovers” or a wayward and irresponsible man who have played on their ignorance and low level of exposures.

Their process of journey to their desired destination in life seems truncated and having a stumbling block that could only be a stepping stone if corrective measures are applied to make them the chief corner stone.

THE CAUSE AND EFFECT OF TEENAGE PREGNANCY: CASE OF ...
http://acascipub.com/International%20Open%20Journal%20of%20Educational%20Research/IOJER_Vol.%
There is need for us to re-visit our lost morals and inculcate same into our society. Parents should speak against nauseating attitudes of their wards irrespective of their low state of financial status.

They should help to save the next generation from drifting to indiscipline and bad mannerism.
They should assist their children especially the teens to get it right in life as that stage is the most crucial stage where parental guide is most needed

some of these quotes should equally serves as guide to the guardians and parents to saving our children and teens from what i termed Children pregnancy and its effects

“The miracle of children is that we just don’t know how they will change or who they will become.”
― Eileen Kennedy-Moore, Smart Parenting for Smart Kids: Nurturing

“If I had received good instruction as a child I would be with my family today and at peace with my neighbors. I hope and pray that all you parents in the sound of my voice will train up your children in the way they should go.”
― Charles Portis, True Grit

“All that a child needs is great love.”
― Lailah Gifty Akita, Pearls of Wisdom: Great mind

“To reform the world - means to reform upbringing...”
― Janusz Korczak

“Most parents send their children off to school with little bromides like "Have a great day! I can't wait to see you later!" or "Do your best at school today. We're having your favorite pizza for dinner tonight!" My mother would send me off with "Enjoy yourself. We could all be dead tomorrow.”

― Melissa Rivers, The Book of Joan: Tales of Mirth, Mischief, and Manipulation
“It is the responsibility of parent to love and care for their children.”

May God save This Generation from drifting .

"We thought you forget to renew that caller tune and we assisted you in the renewal."

Imagine, I never subscribed for ny of these services they are helping me for.

I had to tell them to stop unsolicited subscriptions and that I don't even want them to send me greetings on my birthday if possible.

The annoying part is their parting words.

it seems our govt from inception like to give various names to unknown forces that seems to create a bottleneck for them in their imagination.

you hear of cabals, saboteurs,Vandals, enemies of govt, mafia, powerful forces and many more.

Each govt comes up with its own name creation to distract us from either its inefficiencies or inability to meet up with its responsibilities.

Does it mean those mentioned cant be named and dealt with. Are they govt of their own?

Does it mean we have to beg these guys to leave govt alone so that they could face their primary responsibilities.

When are we gonna have a govt that will tame this Monsters called Cabals,Mafia,Saboteurs, powerful forces, and so on.

Must we keep passing blames on others while we ascribed praises to ourselves if a progress is achieved.

Human are bound to make errors and its necessary to accept responsibilities for such human errors and make correction or crave for understanding rather to keep putting blames on unknown and unnamed personalities .

soon, we will start putting blames on witches and wizards, demonic powers and spiritual forces and our leaders will call for spiritual cleansing from our "spiritual leaders " and some millions of dollars will exchange hands .

our leaders should know that time is counting and passing blames wont bring solutions except actions .

How will they feel if their children passes all blames on the style of teaching, learning environment, time set by examiners and others as reasons they could not pass their exams and such excuses kept hovering .
will they pat such child on his back and say Weldon boy!

I'm sure they will yelled at such child to save them those flimsy excuses and produce results

God bless Nigeria

I was privilege to listen to newspaper review on Radio Continental 102.3 today (4th march,2016) where Femi Adeshina was a guest via phone call where various questions bothering on the nation where threw at him.
I will share them with you.

Barrister Monday Ubani and the Radio continental crews where those who asked him questions on behalf of Nigerians based on the feelings of Nigerians

Find below the questions asked and the response given by Femi Adeshina

About the fulani herdsmen. Why has there been a silence from the presidency.

Femi Adeshina: The presidency have not been silent about it.

He spoke about it during an interview abroad and we also issue a statement about it.

PMB suggested they do a Grazing land for these herdsmen.

The FG and state Govt will reach a compromise where lands will be made available for the herdsmen

Ques: Nigeria are not too happy about issue of detoriating power and high tarrif.
What is the govt policy about constant power

Ans: Nigerians are their own problem, we had 5460 MW which we did not achieve in 16 years, the Niger delta people blew it and we lost MW up to 3500MW.

So Nigerians are the one sabotaging it

Que: are you saying govt is helpless to curb pipe line blowing by these guys.

Ans: there are so many things govt is putting his attention to other than this sabotage.
It will get to a time we shud realised that we are hurting ourselves and not the govt.

Que: what do we do to stop it, do we result to prayers and spiritual attacks on the saboteurs

Ans: no matter the securities you put, this saboteurs will get there.
The govt is trying but it's not omnipresent and omniscient

Que: do we result to fate as regards these issues of sabotaging

Ans: the people shud know that these power belong to them and shud stop blowing it up
Until they see these facilities as theirs, we won't have an headway

Que: can't govt think of alternative and look for a better way to curb this menace.
Can we hit uninterrupted power supply in December as promised

Ans: it's possible for govt to reach it if saboteurs stop blowing it.

Moreso, the alternative is underway

Que: what is govt plan as per fuel supply in the country.

Ans: the recent scarcity is due to a breach btw the suppliers and govt.

The independent marketers who hold 30% of supplies failed to play their part to supply due to high in dollars and govt can't help cos it's not producing dollars.

Moreso, we are in winter, and in winter, you can't predict the arrival of ship cos of the weather issue.

International insurance are also refusing to insured ships going to PH and warri cos of its restiveness.
They berth in Lagos and now moved by road to other region.

That's another major causes of fuel scarcity

Que: on 5k to either less vulnerable or unemployed youth.

Asw: there is this notion that 5k is for the unemployed youths, that's what PMB said he would rather focus on infrastructure than paying such money.
But there is plan underway to pay stipends to vulnerable youths (the poorest of the poorest)
It's already provided for in the budget, as soon as the budget is passed, payments will go underway.

Que: what's the plan of govt as per cocoa:

Ans: the govt is looking into it and the agric minister is keenly interested in reviving it

Que: on refineries

Ans: the govt is looking into reviving it and soon, something will be done.
The state minister for petroleum is coming up with a plan that will be of beneficiary to all Nigerians

Que: on unemployment, pension and suffering of Nigerians
as those who voted for change have not feel it

Answ: Nigeria have always love to complain.
It has been their xter.
They should learn to copeorate, supports and encourage the govt.
Things have been detoriated in the past 16 years and we need realistic commendation and the govt is working for the people.
Rather than complaining, let's support and coperate with the govt

This change will come but it's a gradual process.

On ajaokuta, the govt is doing something about it.

On budget, it will be passed in march 17 by the NASS and spending will begin to reflect on the Nigerians.

Que: there is a woman (a pensioner) who have donated 10k to Buhari to support it.
Can I bring it down to Abuja for onward deievery to mr president - Bar Ubani.

Ans: this is a good gesture, the president will be glad to receive it.
This is the kind of support and cooperation the president will be glad to receive and not condemnation and criticism.
It weakens the president and discourages him from doing more.

We should be patient with the govt cos things have been damage since the past 16 years nd miracle can't happened overnight.

What's your take on the above submission as regards reasons for drop in MW and his response.
Good morning

Its so sad that our Nation is still having people like OBJ and his son (saraki) in the political society as elders and leaders.
What moral justification or right do OBJ have to have written such hypocritical letter to an institution he destroyed and corrupted with his inordinate and selfish ambitions .

same OBJ introduced corruption thru Ghana must go into the NASS and enshrine dubious and bogus allowances as rights of these senators in a bid to have his way as president then.

while I wont deny OBJ of his right to write NA on matter based on his opinion, OBJ should not insult the general sensibility of Nigerians by wearing the agbada of corrupt free man and a cap of self righteous and innocent man while putting on the shoe of a sanctimonious man , He needs to first of all apologize to Nigerians for introducing high level corruption in the senate before his letter can be seen to be justifiable .

Business / Re: CBN Claims Responsibility For Parallel Market Crash by senatorbayor(m): 3:07pm On Feb 26, 2016
I read thru the submissions of the writer as copied and read some home truth with few hypocritical lines from his article.

That You don't Bear English name does not imply you to be patriotic . Though Naturally I dont Fancy such names as all my kids have never bored same even when prod by my spiritual father, Nevertheless it wont be nice for me to cast aspersions on those who have choose to bear it just becos I want to make some points and condemned the point of others.

back to the issue. If dollar is not our currency , why do we base our budget on dollars per barrel? why not state them in naira form . why did we have to trade in dollars and be more concerns with the strength of dollar to Naira and even the president have to feel concern also. has the country ever bothered about cedis or pounds value ?

stating that our problem is not the govt is another hypocrisy from the writer. Putting whole blame on the consumers and importers is very unfair. The writer should note that the govt is into import of fuel also and a large consumer of the foreign products. Hope he is aware that our govt make use of foreign cars (BMW) and all the materials used to beautify or improved the beauty of their houses and aso-rock are imported .

our govt have not encouraged the economy to be a production or manufacturing dependent nation but largely a consuming nation. what efforts have they made in terms of social infrastructure improvement like power, good road network, provision of enabling environment to encourage local production and full patronage of the local products .

why did OBJ paid Okonjo and others in dollars?
what signs have showed that the govt wants to encouraged local products ; NOTE: when i mean "GOVT" ( its just a combination of our leaders both past and present and all strata )

on point no 3. I agree totally with him that official rate of Naira to dollar with CBN is still 197. but the writer should have put into consideration that such amount has not reflected in the life of Nigerians as the importers and business men who source their funds from BDC pass the burden to the consumers as no alternative have been created by the govt.
Our discuss here yesterday on the activities of the BDC exposes a lot .

in as much as there is no alternative to those banned imported goods, the consumers will always bear the burden of the increased in dollars in the BDC as passed by importers and the fixed dollar rate by CBN thru FG does not have a meaning .

point 4. This is a good step in the right direction. #IstandwithPMB on this . I dont support deregulation and will also urged the FG to start creating enabling enviroment to sustained local production and export , hence the crash of dollars as witnessed in 24 hours ago will just be artificial

Point 5 is same as point 4. hence no need for reaction. My concern is just the shady transactions btw the BDC and CBN officials who seems to have bonded a symbiotic relationship at the expense of the masses

Point 6. I would have love the writer to share some thoughts on those things he had produced locally and to show evidence that he has stopped patronising foreign goods and not just that he does not bear foreign names. I hope none of his kids (If any) drank foreign milk except pap and breast milk. he has stopped putting on suits and blazers even if he needs to attend interview since those fabrics are imported even if a local tailor will sow it. I would have loved the writer to share some thoughts about him now using Innosom or other locally manufactured car while he does not need to travel abroad for vacations since doing so will amount to patronizing the BDC at the current dollar rate .

in addition, its an insult for him to say Nigerians are lazy not to produced what they need locally. definitely, he is part of the Lazy Nigerians of which I am not.
Many Nigerians want to do business that we encourage local production but govt have not given any encouragement

point 7. I hope this is not one of the SA on media for PMB disguising as Odewale Abayomi Oladimeji, I suspect something fishy and meaty jare

I smell image making for our dear president here . How could you say PMB does not like importation of luxury goods. So our president does not use any foreign and luxury items . what of his wrist watch , Cars and home materials ?
this is in no way to cast aspersion on my dear president but the idea of the writer.
on the ban of 41 items , I am in total support provided there is alternative with same quality and same is used by our leaders

point 8. if other country like Japan and China had taken same decisions that their importers can approach their BDC if they need to buy those "banned" goods, they wont be where they are today.

the Govt should be decisive in its pronouncement. take a deep look at those items to be banned and if they have concluded that it does not have economy and intrinsic values to his people and the nation, he should place outright ban on it. giving the importers an alternative is just a way of inflicting pains on the consumers and indirectly not encouraging and forcing local production and alternative.

point 9. having banned DMB thru CBN to stop selling dollars to BDC. I say a big kudos

the FG should move a step further to check mate and regulate the infiltration of dollars to the BDC from any illegal source.

Point 10. this was part of my revelations bout BDC operations and the laxity of CBN to regulate its activities . they should intensify their efforts to show the efforts of CBN in regulating the illegal activities of BDC in dollar transactions

Point 11 is the effects of the laxity and exposures of point 9 and 10.

point 12. good move but how will govt regulate prices of this commodities that the importers got its dollar exchange at official rates . every one is now cashing in on the rise of dollars as an excuse for increase in price of products . Including those who got their FX at govt official rate . Where are the price regulators as practiced in 1984 where you dont sell above regulated price especially for some certain commodities whose source of funding is known to the FG.

point 13. this is a replica of POINT 6.
I have given adequate response and a challenge to the writer also. How i wished our reactions are copied to him unedited.

Point 14. this is non of the writer's business. The "dull' girl could afford it and with time, he will get use to the functions.

May be he meant ostentatious or grandiose goods and lifestyles. This is subjective and personal.

Does the writer know every dynamics of items he purchased and how many has he invented ?

Of what use is the manual guide attached to products and goods if the manufacturers feels you must have had some basic dynamism of the products.
every items including consumption goods comes with usage description to guide consumers . same is applicable to the iPhone and other gadgets. its no crime to buy any items you dont have basic knowledge of especially if you love it and could afford it, With time you will get the rudiments . It all happened to every one of us including the writer.

it would have been better if he paraphrased it to mean that some people spend huge money on items they don't need despite that they could afford it.

someone who used iPhone needs it not minding if he or she is dull. at least he or she is making use of it and could make or receive calls with it and perform other functions, It will only be too bad to buy it and Never make use of it after purchase.

: point 15. same assertions and the writer kept making emphasis to POINT 6 and 13.
let him know quite well that Nigerians aint lazy and are ready to produced if the govt plays its part by creating an enabling environment suitable for business to thrive
let him tell us what goods he has manufactured locally and the challenge I threw at him in Point 6 is still valid.

Point 16. No one is complaining about rise of dollars compared to those who transact with it. The complain of the masses is the passing of burden to them as they share the effect of such rise and rise of dollars when in real sense, majority have never sighted nor transact with dollars in their life time , yet they are meant to share the burden of such rise when its never our official currencies.

what happened to our 1kobo,5kobo,10 kobo,25kobo,50kobo,1 naira,5 naira , they have lost their purchasing powers . yet our counterpart still make use of coin notes

point 17. his assertions have been corrected in my response to his point 16.

the complaint of the masses is the hike in prices of common and every day commodities that majority of these importers have increased in the guise of increased in dollars and this is largely due to inability of govt to act decisively to checkmate the activities of the traders .
wetin concern Garri and some local foods with hike in dollars rates. But becos these BIG men don't eat with us, they feel less concern

my submissions are.
Govt should in earnest check the activities of the BDC and also focus its attention on how to encourage local production also.

They should ensure to re-direct our economy from consumption to production and manufacturing in order to encourage export .

writers who are sympathetic to politicians should not just pick their pen to insult the collective intelligence of Nigerians cos they want to write .
same writers will boast of collections of foreign items in their kitty, show you their international passport that is filled with Visas granted to foreign country for vacations thereby neglecting our local tourist.

Majority of our govt officials now go abroad for vacations ,come back with some foreign items as evidence of shopping abroad.

Our Govt officials hardly patronised our hospitals, educational facilities, wares and others stuff but want to force down our throat the idea of local patronage.
I submit and rise

God bless the writer

God bless Nigeria
