Guys, the recruitment is going on underG. I can confirm 100% that people have started resuming. I met one of them in person (don't ask for the location) and he told me they were 3 that resumed yesterday and actually part of the August advert. This was corroborated by a staff at FIRS office Abuja. He even said that was the latest in Abuja now.

As expected! Which way Nigeria.

Its clear that nothing will happen again this year concerning this recruitment. so guys, see you in January

Until otherwise, all the coming recruitments are going to be based on patronage not merit. If at all there will be merit it will be very small. Most agencies share job slots ahead in other to either get recruitment waiver, get budget approved or as a reward for supporting their appointment. This DPR and NBTE recruitment are classic examples of the anomaly. Things are far worse than they used to be before change.

It's really sad that these ills keep happening despite the change promised. But I choose not to give up on Nigeria.
Any idea on the means to contact shortlisted candidates?

Bulk of the interview will be in January but the preceding activities will be in the month of December. Some will most surely resume in January. As for whether it will be interview straight or there will be aptitude test, it depends on the category in which you fall into. The 500 people that will enter through merit list may likely write exam but it has not been decided yet. For the usual politician list, it is offer letter straight; no interview or at worst stage managed one. The process will continue after private meeting between Fowler and Saraki next week Thursday.

Also that they have started sending emails to candidates with a content like "sorry you didn't make it to the next stage", that's how dey do it.

Yes some people were recruited directly. They were given letters of employment but non to the best of my knowledge is yet to resume duties, talk less of receiving salaries.

The report on FIRS 2016 budget was not considered by the NGRSenate in today's plenary as some items on the order paper were adjourned to next Tuesday's plenary. The waiting continues....

This recruitment ought to have been concluded in June, latest, but here we are running way behind schedule. I blame the NASS for this delay. Usually in budget administration, not all proposal is approved wholely. Some items are cut down and this is what the finance committee has failed to do. I hope they do the needful within one week as mandated by the Senate.

The projection presumes a recruitment of new staff in 2016;

FIRS recruitment is included in their 2016 budget. This explains why the recurrent expenditure rose to 25 billion. I believe this delay in passing the budget is a minor hiccup that will be settled soon.

I mentioned and quoted you here a number of times but you totally ignored . But of course, you were replying those that were hailing and congratulating you. You don't seem to recognize and appreciate the stress and time it takes to get through to your customer care line.
I finally got through to the customer care line after over a day of trying but to you , that is normal? If you were very interested in knowing what was going on, surely by now, one of your customer care people would have given you this information for you to pass on to the people here without them having to spend man hours trying to get through to your customer care line.

1) For those who tried Mr Alabi's reset and got the message that you have been blocked, use your Google Chrome on Desktop or Laptop open the browser and clear the browser history.

2) Login to your account with the password that was sent to you by the system via reset.

3) When you click login, the page will load(as in my case) but you may not still see your account as logged in. Just refresh the browser again and it will show. This is a bug in the Nairabet new system and not your browser's problem.
I hope they sort it out.

I was tempted to say to hell with it and refuse to pass on this information , after all, the owner doesn't seem to care but I just realised that many people have their money in there so had to share.

I am less than impressed with Nairabet and the Akinalabi person .

I observed that you tactically avoided responding to queries regarding unblocking accounts. I will take it that you don't have solution to that right now. But you should at least say something. Almost 24 hours complaints were lodged yet no reply. That's so bad man.
