Honestly, I don’t know the exact reason. But the NNPC management conceived that as one of their cost-cutting measures since late last year because the refineries weren’t running and the OPEX was still near constant.
Perhaps, to also punish the support staff for protesting against the recruitment.

Be there deluding yourself that it would not diminish the chances of EH. Have you asked yourself why the issue of their conversion is just coming now that the NNPC is doing a regular recruitment? Why didn't they convert them silently in-house? Whether you like it or not, the EH chances would be reduced with this whole contract staff conversion issue.

Have you ever heard NNPC conducting interviews to employ contract staff? Seems you are a contract staff yourself. I never said they didn't have qualification but they got into the system through the back door. Meaning they didn't follow the NNPC recruitment system

Good afternoon all...most of the reshuffled staffs new position takes effect from today...a contact made me understand yesterday that he called a senior manager in GHR regarding the EH...and his response was that they are awaiting instructions...so let these new guys settle in and the dust of the retired staffs calm down,we can now watch how everything will unfold...
NB...spaces are freed up already in the system and more are still to be...hope is all we got now...peace....

Am an engineer, I applied for many job offers after my NYSC last year.

Non invited me for interview, I had to dive in into IT,
I started with HTML5, CSS3 and javascript with low background knowledge of computer, I never knew I was doing myself good. Less I forget, it took me only 5 months to mastered all.

I neither have a tutor nor coach, it was self taught.
By God's grace I was able to convinced the panel, how safety related issues could be tackled in the organization using my risk assessment sheet that is yet to be developed..

I am a chronic stammerer, but I still got the APL.

There are vacancies but the issue is mainly at the managerial cadre, once the vacancies are filled now, the people in SS1 will find it very difficult to cross over to M level. From SS5 to SS2 no problem, there is room for promotion and ascension, that's why they want to make sure everything is well sorted out.
That's what we heard!!!!!

Xfire, good to see you are still here. I remember during the last recruitment, I told the naysayers that it is possible and in my own set it was largely merit based. In fact I do not know anyone in that set that came in through connection. A colleague told me how he was teaching and did not believe in the process so refused to apply but a lady that knew him collected copies of his credentials and literally applied for him. He remained skeptical even after the interview until he got his offer letter. That has changed his life and that of his family.

That is arrant nonsense but thanks for the news anyways. Both GT and EH would be released same time. Why would a recruitment that started same time become different with release date.
