You are on point oooh this is how I was deceived here that CBN pay well with different type of allowances but when I enter I was seeing another thing altogether than expected well I am moving out of that boring job next month to another,What is still keeping me in this boring job is their one month notice.
If this was real, you would have first settle down and try to build a career, improve yourself and earn higher pay. But here you are claiming you resigned. Lies.
How can someone with zero work experience expect to receive 5million as upfront in a govt agency.

You keep talking about frustration. Are you frustrated?
What position do you occupy in your imaginary CBN? Probably a cleaner. In that case it will be easy to get a cleaner job in Ncc.
That position is 3rd party so there is no upfront.

Let me give you guys a very risky trick.

1~ Be very confident
2~Be will dressed, pls don't brandish ur file at the gate like you come to look for job( Though that's what it is)
3~ Make sure you know the name of ur target
4~ Try to work in confidently and respectfully greet security if one stops you.
5~ When questioned, answer in such a way that will seem that person( Top oga) knows about ur visit and is expecting you. Don't lie woh, just make the security come to that conclusion.
6~ You will even be directed to the office., Now how you get pass the security near the office and the Secretary is up to you

Trust me, You got nothing to loose, the worst that could happen is for them to kick you out grin
I've been to a number of offices in Abuja to meet people on scheduled private visits. NCC, TCN, Tetfund, CAC, NDIC, NNPc, NLNG etc. What is common in all those places is that they will either check your name on the visitors list or make a call to the person to confirm that he is expecting you before you are allowed entry. In NLNG, they will issue you with an id card bearing your name, picture and the floor you are going to. In some cases after scaling the security at the gate, you will go through security at the main reception hall before the one at the floor you are going to. And most of those floors have electronic doors making it impossible to entire without proper identification and authorization.
Even vendors that come around have their company id card and they know exactly where they are going to.
Unless you have an insider, there is no way to enter any top government agency not to talk of meeting the oga

Try and be realistic bro. Don't give people false hope. We all know what this country has become.

Sha grace differs.
Yeah.

The truth is you can't just walk into any agency in Abuja and ask to see a big man without appointment. Except you are going to a ministry or civil service commission office. They will simply discharge you at the gate.

You have made the right choice my sister and believe me this is how I got my own job today and I know how four people that got Appointment letters in our office before lockdown with this decision of yours and mine and today we receiving not less than 260k every month plus allowances so don't give up on your plan,I laugh the other day when cbnwords asked a question and I told cbnword to go there office but instead of people to ask me what I mean by that statement they all started insulting me but the truth is that there is no way you can go to these top government agencies and meet the right people and beg without coming back with testimony,I left Delta state and travel to Abuja for 3days without knowing anybody in Abuja I was even discouraged by some of my friends not to waste my money that it will not work but today I am working so my sister try it and share your own testimony.Don't stay one place and look for a job make a move for a day or two.
But you had plans to meet with a senator before you travelled to Abuja? Through his PA?
It's good to take a bold step but you need to have someone to help you meet the person on top.

MrMurdah:
There is no more money.

It is finished.

They have shared it amongst themselves.

CBN Governor alone sent over 3,000 names in.

They claim they are trying to solicit more funds from the private sector.

Or get more funds released.

Either way....

I don't think it will amount to anything.

Presently, there is no tangible date when things will resume.

I will suggest y'all waiting for this money to just move on.

And stop hoping...

Someone with the link should please help those who are in need if it.

However, in my own opinion, and by the grace of God if I get the APL, I intend to open a telegram group for those of us who got the letter to relate better on the way forward.

Right now, joining an open telegram group makes no sense to me for the following reasons:

1. It will not bear any exclusive info different from what is obtainable here on NL

2. It gives more room for constituting nuisance by those who have no business being in the group in the first place (e.g. GTs both successful and unsuccessful, unsuccessful EHs or outright non-applicants).

I intend to selectively add those who can produce screenshots of their censored APL blotting out every other info except their names and perhaps the position applied for as stated on the letter. This screenshot shall be forwarded to a designated email I'll provide for vetting before being added to the telegram group to ensure chaffs are separated from the wheat (no offense intended). Kindly note that I'll have to share my screenshot as well to every member that have forwarded theirs to ensure transparency.

N.B. I may not get the APL but this template can be adopted by those of us who'll get it.

May God favour us all in Jesus' name. Amen.
APL don show?

Why una dey take panadol for another man headache? How they spend their money is not your business and even they fail to pay, how does it affect you? Is it your money? Nigerians with their holier than thou attitude

who would give a loan to an unemployed person? whether government or commercial organisation, CBN is giving this loan not as free will grant. they are also out to get their money back and make profit, so what is the different with capitalist? if you actually see the condition given for the guarantors you will understand that this money is never free and they are out to get it back no matter what.
From your comments, I will assume you have no idea how government works. So you are saying that Nigerian government is only interested in making profit without regard to the welfare of citizens?
Why then did CBN waive the requirement for guarantors?
Whether or not the CBN recover the money is not your business and nobody here knows the criteria for selecting the beneficiaries. Even you that feels because you have a job therefore you are entitled to the relief fund, how sure are you to get it?
The whole essence of this loan is to support Nigerians who are going through difficulties because of covid 19. Those that lost their jobs are free to apply and most of them will get it.

ArewaWife:
It's more optimistic that the loan will be given to someone who has or claims to have something doing than someone who doesn't. It's a loan not grant and if you are a businessman, who would you want to invest in?
This fund is covid 19 relief fund. People lost their jobs due to the pandemic and for such persons, getting the loan will help them set up businesses to cushion the effect of their job loss. Do you expect them to lie that they are still employed even though they already loss their jobs? And how do you expect them to survive without a job and no money to set up business?
Social investments like this will always cater for every category whether employed or unemployed.
Even those that claim to be employed, do you think CBN will call their employers to confirm their employment status? Govt is different from capitalist. What you are saying would make sense if the money is given by commercial banks.

Why not listen to yourself. It Is a loan not grant.

If he has no job or business, how is he expected to pay back the loan?
I have listened to myself Sir.

So what makes you think he cannot invest the loan in a new business that will generate income?

I don't think you should bother expecting a loan approval. A friend made this same mistake, you won't even get to where to pick loan amount if you selected the details you stated. You want loan, yet you are saying you don't have a job or business. How are you going to pay back the loan?
Oga how are you sure his loan will not be approved? Do you work for CBN or NMFB?
Your words are very discouraging and that's not good.
He doesn't need to have a job or business at the moment to be given the loan.

Hello fellow EH hopefuls, I can corroborate what cocococo posted. Another highly credible source confirmed to me on Friday that the process is more or less concluded and asked me to watch out from Tuesday next week for the successful list of candidates. What I didn't ask was what the mode of transmission will be; whether by National Dailies or otherwise.
Be hopeful guys, even if it doesn't come out on Tuesday we can be sure that it is within touching distance. Enjoy your weekend.

At least from MK's comments yesterday, we now know that EH resumption is just a matter of time.

The person that asked the question even asked about GTs, that why hasn't it been concluded. And he answered that GT has been concluded, I thought he was going to stop there as usual, but he went out of his way to say maybe the question was about the EH component which hasn't been, but will be concluded soonest...

And then some okoto meow about skill gaps and all....
It's now a question of who makes the final list. Whichever way, let them conclude it.

People need to understand what constitutes sensitive company information. Examples of such include;
1. In-house cost estimate for procurement tenders
2. The travel itinerary of staff or contact information (residential address, personal phone numbers)
3. Pumping schedule of petroleum products via pipelines
4. Schematics of NNPC buildings
5. User names and passwords, etc

I honestly do not think what that guy shared constitutes "sensitive information" which the GTs were asked to safeguard.
Hahahahaha
But don't you think that information regarding recruitments can be regarded as sensitive? Nah only HR guys supposed know the details, IMO.
Remember, those GT guys are not aliens, they are friends with a lot of guys here. If I have a friend who works in Nnpc, he may disclose some things to me and I will come back here to share. That is what has been going on. Usually when people speak on official matters if they are not authorized, they do so on the condition of anonymity and therefore nobody can use it against them.
It's less likely that SolidLight will be traced using his post here since nairaland is an anonymous forum, but I don't think there is need to take such risk. Like someone said, there are other ways to go about sharing.

Hercules22:
You made a valid point but I’m not saying they should divulge every sensitive information.
Most EH candidates are in dire need of updates from the corporation. There’s nothing wrong in sharing such info to keep their hopes high since NNPC have failed to address the general public. If NNPC had wanted it to be a secret they couldn’t have informed the GTs. Do you think NNPC isn’t aware that some would still go ahead to share? Well, the information has been passed by a well meaning Nigerian that cares.
Eh hopefuls should continue to remain prayerful.
We hope for the best bro

Hercules22:
You are right. The term “advanced tracking” is used to instil fear into them. Though I understand some GTs may have shared some personal information in the past on this thread or another that could be used to track them. However, they can create a new moniker and use a VPN to provide useful information.
It was indeed laughable seeing a GT asking others to unquote him/her on a faceless forum. NNPC don’t have the resources and time to track down moles who leak information. As a GT, learn the job, work smart & don’t engage in corrupt practises if you wanna keep your job.
Even though I appreciate getting insider information from the GTs, I don't think they should jeopardize their current job just for the sake of giving us info. If the code of conduct given to them is "do not share official information", then we should let them stick to it. Those who wish to share may do so by proxies and I believe that has been the case. What the dude who cautioned the OP did was perfectly in order, afterall they are now a part of the system. A lot of companies make their new employees sign a non-disclosure agreement, so there is nothing new to it.
