Wike's Strategy failed. It was not well thought out. Those guys should have stayed in PDP and continue the fight. I think he got carried away with the Federal Might.

The State High Courts are with the State Government. Federal High Courts don't have jurisdictions over state matters. There is no way Wike could have relied on Federal High Courts in Abuja to manipulate local politics in Rivers State

Wike should be humble enough to know at this point that his strategy didn't work out. He may not be the master Strategist after all

It's time for him to go back to the drawing board and plan a comeback strategy. Its a Swim or Die Situation for him now

Because of the President's legs, he needs to sit on a chair that is long and allows him to stretch his leg to allow free flow of blood. The sofa won't allow him that

While am not holding brief for Wike (I don't even know him beyond the media), what people call godfatherism is someone offering his platform for another to ride on to power and there are always terms to such transactions which the beneficiary might not even know about. For example, to get a powerful politician that hold sway in a particular Local Government to support the campaign, Wike might have promised him a Commissioner Slot or some contracts. Its a give and take thing and it's normal. The governorship candidate might not even know about such discussions. The principal was just pulling all the plugs to get him elected. Now, when Sim became governor, it is natural for Wike to make demands and satisfy everyone that put their structure on the table for Fubara to use. Now Fubara has become governor, thinks he has nothing to lose again, and want to take all the spoils, and all the goodies. Life does not work that way. Then he started whipping up public sentiment, talking about godfatherism and what not. It is completely deceitful and insensitive for Fubara to think he alone can enjoy the victory of the sweats of others. It is immoral and we should stop condoning such attitudes among ourselves as Nigerian. Everyone shouting Wike is a godfather, let the table be turned, and you will see yourself reacting more badly than he is doing. We are all humans and blood flows in our vain. Nobody can stand betrayal, disloyalty and deceitfulness. Personally, I hate it with all the bones in my body and thats why am taking the pains to write all these even without knowing the actors, or coming from their states..what is bad is bad and should not be sugarcoated

Amaechi is neutral, which is actually good for him. He openly worked against Tinubu during the election, so he can't gain anything from this current Federal Government where Wike currently enjoys the goodies allotted to Rivers State. On the side of Sim Fubara, Peter Odili is already and Amaechi and Odili seems to be perennial enemies. So Amaechi is neutral for now, unless somethings drastically magical happens to the political ecosystem

Fubara should remove his benefactor from office..Lol. Wike singlehandedly made Fubara Governor before the full glare of the public.

1. Wike campaigned for Fubara as if he was the one running for office.
2. Wike ensured Fubara didn't go through any primaries.
3. Wike kept Fubara away from the eyes of EFCC when they wanted to feast on him.
4. Fubara knelt down and held Wike's feet immediately he was declared winner, same way Ododo held Yahaya Bello's feet

Less than 6 months after Fubara got to office, he pulled the rug off the feet on his erstwhile benefactor.

I don't know any of these actors. I only relied on media information we all get. However, except there are undertones we are not aware off, it is important for us to encourage the culture of appreciation and loyalty.

If you know the terms of the deal was not okay with you, why did you take it in the first place? Why not allow another person that is fine with those terms to take it? Why pretend you are something else just for your benefactor to help you and immediately you are helped, you feel empowered to turn a different direction.

I don't know these any of these men, but there is just that part of me that feels irritated when I see ingratitude

Someone said Jimoh has remained loyal to the President over the years. How? Jimoh that openly defied the President by supporting Yari against the President's choice of Akpabio for Senate President. The President appealed and appealed, yet he stuck to his gun. I don't think the inner circle of the President will trust him. Same with the incumbent governor. But somehow, Asiwaju seems not to be interested in who becomes governor of Ondo State. Since he became President, he has chosen to become more of a Statesman than being actively involved in the choice of who become governor in different states. If he is really interested, by now everyone will know where his interest lies.

Jimoh has more credibility m, coupled with his close relationship with the president and the drama that happened around the death of Aketi, the sitting governor has proven to be one not to be trusted, loyalty is very important in this game of politics and Jimoh has remained loyal to the president over the years.

We just hav men without honour littering our political firmament. Why take help from someone if you know you won't stick to the terms of the trade? Why accept help from the devil when you know you can't stand his evils? I expected men like Uba and Fubara to decline help from El-Rufai and Wike respectively since they knew they won't be able to stand their overbearing presence on them.
Obaseki is running everywhere for Asue Ighodalo now nobody is hearing any fight. We don't want to hear of any nonsense fight when the latter becomes a governor. Pacts entered into in the time of peace mist remain sacrosanct in the time of war.

Both Akume and Alia were summoned by a neutral King, who has the interest of the state at heart. Are there no such Kings in Rivers that can unite Fubara and Wike? It seems all the men of note in Rivers have political interests and leanings. So it's safe to say there are no genuine statesmen in Rivers

Wike is a great and confident guy but he lacks tact, very volatile and below optimal level on emotional intelligence.

Otherwise, he would have been on a whole different level politically.

I don't think he is beyond redemption yet. But he will need to be humble and understand the fact that he can't be the wisest man in the whole Nigeria who has the capacity not to make mistake. Everyone can't be wrong at all times and only Wike is wise. No one except God hold that credence.

Its interesting to know that successive Governors in Rivers State have not been at peace with their immediate predecessors.

Firstly, Amaechi and Odili are not in good terms
Secondly, Wike and Amaechi are not in good terms
Thirdly, Fubara and Wike are not in good terms

The one that shocked me most is how fast the Wike-Fubara relationship denigrated in less than 6 months. I could remember Fubara during the campaign-meek, barely said a few words and people don't even know him. Obviously, Wike did all the job to make him Governor. On the day the results were announced, he prostrated flat before Wike in the full glare of the press.

So what happened so fast that both could not hold on to the terms of their partnership? Its either Fubara is an incredibly disloyal person or Wike is incredibly bad at managing relationships. Shettima helped Zulum to power and both have managed a decent relationship to date. What is it with Rivers?

Secondly, its obvious Wike and the Odilis have parted ways. Apparently, Wike expected the Odilis to take sides with him and ostracize Fubara. The latter refused to do so. After all, they have rights to make their own decisions. Wike also has right to place a demand on his previous generosity to them. He felt he has done enough to earn their lifetime loyalty. At the same time, it depends on the demand he is placing on that loyalty.

Funny enough, this whole issue can be resolved in 30minutes if men decide to dump their ego. If I were Odili, I will use my relationship with Wike and Fubara to lock the two of them up in a room alone for 30mins to ventilate and burn themselves out. Alone with no Advisers, no Assistants, no friends,, nothing. Those ones are even the fuel powering the fire. Am sure after 30mins, if they both choose to be reasonable, the whole issue will be resolved.

I like Odili for not taking sides with Wike. I believe to preserve his statemanship, he shouldn't have taken sides with Fubara as well. He should have maintained neutrality while working assiduously on fostering peace between the two former allies. After all, they had benefitted from Wike's benevolence in the past as much as they may currently be benefititng from Fubara's benevolence. All that should count for something in loyalty and benevolence.

When kids are behaving like kids, Elders must continue to behave as Elders.

Jimoh Ibrahim worked against the President's candidate for the Senate President position. He supported Yari and openly defiled the President. I don't think he will have the President's support

When politicians go there, only very few of them will be able to stay loyal to their political base. The power of Abuja and the need to align with the central allows make them to forget why they were there in the first place

It's the reason why Tinuby respects Gbajabiamila, Yayi, Mamora and all those loyal allies, who despite the luring of Abuja, stayed true to their leader.

This is high level betrayal by the President. It is important we condemn betrayals in politics. If you know you won't be able to keep to the terms of bargain, don't seek favours. We all know how El Rufai stuck his neck out for Tinubu even when the odds were stashed against him. Now its time to return the favours now, the President started developing cold feets. We should do politics devoid of Betrayals and Backstabbings. Even if El Rufai is the biggest sinner in this world, the President knew he had baggages before seeking his favours during pre-elections and even during the elections. If you didn't remember his baggage when he was helping you, you shouldn't remember his baggage when it's payback time

From this analysis, it will cost $2billion to built a 1250 megawatt power plant. So why can't Nigerian government divert the savings from subsidy removal to building more power plant so our electricity can improve and people won't need to buy as much fuel again. Most of the things we use petrol for can be powered by electricity, leaving just vehicles. Instead of distributing cash to people, which is the dumbest policy I have heard of in recent times, they could divert the savings from subsidy removal into power generation, which everybody will benefit from. If government outline how many megawatts they will add to the grid annually from subsidy savings, people won't be agitated as much. Infact they will appreciate the sacrifice they are making a lot more because they can see the gains. I wonder the type of economic guys around the President. It seems the president and his team weren't prepared for this assignment. There are no solid and well thought out plans on ground that shows convincing preparedness. All our politicians seem to be the same. No one seems to have that creative wand

Akin is a great guy and will perform very well if put in charge of sensitive ministry like Work or Power

Prof Osibanjo shouldn't have contested against Tinubu. Forget about the "I have every right to contest" gibberish. As Tinubu's personal lawyer, he knew Tinubu was interested in the Presidency a long time ago. He knew that was why they collapsed ACN into APC. He knew Tinubu sent him to Abuja as Vice President just to hold forth for the ACN Group for 8years before their leader take his turn as President based on pre-merger agreement between ACN and CPC which they were all aware of. Tinubu had 3 people in mind, but narrowed it down to Osibanjo. It was a huge betrayal of trust on Osibanjo's part. No matter how anyone wants to spin this, this is the part that history will always acknowledge

Generational Leadership needs a lot of emotional intelligence. That's what set Tinubu apart from the rest of the political leaders in the Yoruba nation. Emotional Intelligence is also the advantage Fashola has over Aregbesola. Fashola too had reasons to be angry especially when Ambode was destroying his legacy projects but he managed his emotions well. Even when Buhari put him in his cabinet against Tinubu's choice, he didn't allow Abuja to get into his head. He kept his emotion and growing ego in checks, which was another advantage he had over Osibanjo, Ojudu, Aregbesola and other Lagos boys that went to Abuja. Sanwo Olu is another great guy with high Emotional Intelligence and he will really go far. He was the reason the great reunion of yesterday was able to happen and he is managing the Lagos Political Leaders well. Aregbesola is volatile and does not rate high on Emotional Intelligence. If he had moderated his anger well, when Oyetola was toying with his legacy projects, things would have been different today, after all the pie is bigger now for all to share. To come out openly to deride his benefactor, asking God to bring him down, is the lowest anyman can go.

Dapo Abiodun obviously supported Osibanjo at the primaries and there is no way that can be spinned. He is not likely to trusted by the Tinubu Political Family and cannot be a member of the inner circle. Anything they are doing with him na just eye service.

Forex rate is a function of demand and supply. NNPC and CBN can strengthen the Naira by bringing more dollars generated from daily crude sales out into the market but CBN should not defend the Naira again with our foreign reserves. Since its now freely floated, let the market continue to dictate rates based on the forces of demand and supply.

Of course. Yari outspent Akpabio by a far margin. It was Tinubu that gave Akpabio victory. According to BAO of TVC, there were Senators that President Tinubu met 3times in 48hours. There were Senators that Tinubu visited their houses to negotiate with them. Imagine a President visiting a Senator to beg when he could have summoned the Senator to the State house. Even though Tinubu has Federal Might at his disposal to intimidate Yari into submission, he didn't do that. He allowed democracy to thrive while deploying subtle negotiation skills to win the political battle
