blueband: loma:The news about ABC runniong the LAGBUS initiative is quite dated. that report according to ABC's site is January 2007. the BRT taking off does not have anything to do with the alphabets as this is being owned and run by NURTW unlike the LAGBUS initiative in which five firms were appointed as operators including the alphabets but all five pulled out due to unacceptable terms. this is not to burst the ABC euphoria. for those on board, i wish u save journey to maiduguri, make una no pass border go Niger republic. all the best. @ wendy ypur CICO thots for next week tally with mine (dunlop, academy). when be the expiry date? @ all have a lovely week, and may the bulls come on rampage and all reds change to briht green, do i hear a biiiiiig amen |

hey peeps, whats been happening here. last time i really browsed i think this was on page seventy something. kuwena how u dey? opoks, u and ur witty and thot inspiring lines. hope alls good. hows nlng for those who were the "chosen few"? how life for those who are the "chosen" but not for Nlng? life goes on. the future is definately looking brighter by the day. a brighter and rewarding future (not like fashola own oo) beckons. see y'all |
@ kuwena it shouldn't come to this @ davidylan davidylan:u av a point |
been a long time since i dropped in here. been seriously "under." but in just a few weeks (actually about 3) the whole mood here has changed. @all who have been invited for medicals congratulations are in order for you all. im sur ethat the Lord is still working on your cases as he will not leave u until he has done that which he said he'll do. to zhia, wandel, aniffy, kenosky, kenosym, etc and especially to my guys not on this thread soji and dare, big up tp y'all. @ all still expecting, methinks that we all at one time or the othere have actually considered what would happen if nlng eventually does not call us. we might have even rejected this thought or refused to dwell on it, but it always was a possibility. but hope never loss. anything can still happen, but more importatntly, the will of God would come to be. so for some of us, the letters might still come and for others, no letters. but to get to this stage from the 18,000+ wey start the race, thats some consolation. the future is very bright for all who beleive it is. now is not the time to allow despondency to set in, lets get upbeat as the best is yet to come. the beautiful ones are not yet born. so abeg let our spirits rise up and not dwell on this too much. who knows (God Knows) something beta might be on the horizon. @ Kuwena ur own na special case. i wouldn't like to start on ur response now but my guy wetin cause all those yarns. 1. being the chap who has been motivating everyone on this thread and for you to now fall to this level of despondency is very depressing and is really capable of depressing all on the thread 2. no matter where u are coming from where u are going is more secure and better than wherever. a saying comes to my mind here. "i was complaining that i had no shoes until i met a man that had no legs." i used to complain about my 35k job early this year until i started meeting some of my chaps from skul who finished 1-2 years before me, but are still searching for jobs as at last week when i spoke with two of them. kuwena, while i can understand the despondency, but my guy, im sure they were millions of people who would give their right hand, right leg ( or even their soul) to be i ur shoes at intercontinental presently. so my guy, leave that thing, my people have a saying "Olorun ti n sebe, o ti kuro nidi isasun" that is "God that is cooking has not left the Kitchen." so see ur case no need this, as from ur story u have a lot of testimonies which shd have u beleive that God has always been coming thru for u. maybe i shd start counting some of ur testimonies so u'll appreciate what the good Lord has been doing for u. even with the death of ur folks, u can still stand today as a graduate, first class mass communication there are a lot of people with parents -even the two- and they have not been able to get to where u are today, with their parents ready to give all it takes for them to get a degree you passed exams u did not write ( i no forget that one, we discussed it at the assessment june 4) you get scholarship (at least me try, shell invite me 1999, leta reach me 2 weeks after the test; apply for chevron, you serve for kano, come enter intercontinenetal bank(how many corpers they accept), in fact how many corpers IB retain- see my guy i for like dey accept be in ur shoes dey collect 200+ per month but i no too dig bank jobs. as a parting shot, na you teach us some songs for this thread make i dash u this popular hymn aptly titled "Count your Blessing" When upon life billows you are tempest tossed when u are discouraged thinking all is lost count your many blessings, name them one by one and it will surprise you what they Lord has done. count ur blessings name them one by one, count your blessings, see what God has done count your blessings, name them one by one and it will surprise you what the Lord has done. so my guy, NLNG no suppose take that from u. nna men, i no know say this thing golong like this but Kuwena, i go holla u for phone sometime this week. me na go i dey so, nlng leta come, uh hum nlng letta no come, uh hum GOD DEY, AND I AM HIS WORK IN PROGRESS |
the tori never end. methinks the chap might spill the beans after coming home for chrismas and seeing nobody (or is it not having enuf time to get to know some other sweet ladies) to walk down the aisle. anyway, the tori just begin and i sincerely think that both of u sound like very sensible peeps, so im sure that u'll both make ideal fellows if not for one another but for other lovely people - i fit dey interested oh! all the best |
Kuwena, once again this is wishing you a funfilled and fulfilled life as u celebrate ur birthday. as God told Jacob, im sure he'll also not leave you until he has done that which he has promised to do for and to you - to give you a good and expected end. may that continue tobe your portion forever. amen. @ all others last time i really spent some time on this thread it was still on page 31 or 32, and now page 50. wow nice going only that i dont really know whats the issue with the George Bush and Taliban thing im seeing. neways sure we are all hangin in there. with god on our side, all things would work out for good for us all. @ tolagbaju whats up, long time. last time i saw u hope it wasn't in skul. remember me, Kazeem's classmate |
holla at me slacad@yahoo.com need Office tutorials |
@ hollandis when did you finish from Ijanikin |
this is a nice time as a GUNNER i'll sure enjoy it |
this is sure getting interesting ![]() @Kuwena,@jbyno and all that just completed NYSC. congrats and welcome to the rest of your life or as some would say the beginning of life. @all others, hope u r all doing well |
@kuwena, that post was awesome, if i were in a cybercafe, by the time i would have finished reading that im sure the 1 hour would have been over. but nice recap of the journey so far. the destination is in sight and im sure we'll get there. @mohid, faith without works is dead. thatnks for that. so why shouldn't we be prizig land yet? ![]() since i get am for faith flenti, flenty, me i will go to berger tomorrow to price maybe honda bulldog or bullet, or make i settle for a toyota camry? which one u think say go fit me? and before i forget, who sabi estate agent, i dey find 3 bedroom flat for somewhere like surulere or mangodo or any of these cool areas, send the price to me, i'll get back to the agent sometime september 26 or 27. ![]() |
@jbyno, im doing good. sure u had a nice trip to abuja. @all others, why disturb urself that more engineers would be chosen than others. after coming this far, methinks that we should have gone beyond all that. from 18,000 applicants to maybe 480. lets all beleive taht what god wills will be, and letss hope for the best. sometime ago, many were wondering the fate of peeps still serving. what has come of it? the results of the interviews would be coming about a month after they would have completed youth service. see the way things sort themselves out, eventually, so why worry when u can do more important and productive things. its well, much luv |
@kuwena, yeah, thats right, good recollection. but we suppose still probe u about how u get result for exam wey u no write. pls who has nos for ICPC? ![]() lets keep the spirit alive. with God on our side, we go reach the highest heights |
its been about a week since i was here and so many things seem to have happened in my absence. @kuwena, i was candidate B6, and i go by name sola. was gisting with you, jbyno and wale at the end of the assessment. lets keep up the good spirit. que sera, sera: what will be, will be; but more importantly what God wills will be. to all those yet to have theirs, this is wishing you good luck and God Speed.\ an aside, whatever ur hand findeth to do, do it all with all thy might. how are we going to apply this when we get to NLNG. before i go, i suppose book my own seat on the flight, but being naturally someone that has been sitting at the back of the class so as to observe all the happenings, since primary school days (maybe nursery sef) maybe i go book seat 77. nice no, nice seat, remember yoi shina, yoi kangai, good thinking, good product i'll change it to yoi shinai, yoi kangai, yoi peeps , good thinking, good product, good people. ![]() -cos thats what u all are. one luv |
kuwena:kuwena na so? was it only jbyno that you met, what of the other nairaland members that we hooked up there? anyway hope yourself and jbyno had safe trips back. sure was a stressful day with all the moving around from room to room, going from one floor to another. talking about the food, it seems anytime i was about to have something thats when the assessors come for me!!! our group of twenty was nice though, some funny characters, some cool guys and a lot of bankers!! seems like half of us were with one bank or the other. well for those that are yet to have theirs, kuwena and shablo(i think on p 12) have given u all the dirt on the nlng thing. remember all -he don sign am say we go , na our destiny make them no think am. |
@ everybody nice going all. but how come nobody that has gone thru the assessment centre has pasted anything about it? anybody for july 3? really like to see nairalanders in flesh and blood. its well. see u all at the top. |
hello peeps. we all seem to be worrying about getting our letters. i dont think that is too good. after waiting so patiently since we wrote the second test, this is not the time to be bothering about getting the IV for the assessment centre. we can always call their HR dept to ask for the specific date that yours is scheduled for and eliminate the stress of worrying. my question is actually to those who have had prior experience of any such exerise i.e. assessment centre to please share with the house the likely form its going to take. that might be something beta to worry about if you are so inclined. as kuwena said in an earlier post - He don promise say we go make am, baba God don promise say we go do am o; na our destiny make they no think am. its well |
hi y'all nice thread. been following it from the very beginning though this is the first im posting myself. nice that all peeps are keeping hope alive as concerns an NLNG job. from all the gist i've heard so far it seems to be a dream job -well if the job no be dream the pay is sure a dream pay. i beleive that our hopes would not be dashed that God would make all beautiful in the time he has set for it. so lets all keep our heads up, our hopes high, our fingers crossed and our eyes fixed on the mark. its going to be good. already looking forward to a nairaland reunion when we get to NLNG. something to look forward to huh!!see you all at the top. one luv and much luv |
@ poster also got a text on friday inviting me for the zenith interview on june 14th. seems it would be for entry level as that was what i applied for february this year. can somebody give the scope of it? all the best to all of you one love Look unto God - he makes all things beautiful in his time, ![]() |
Congrats to all who made it. to those who did not, im sure God will surely open windows no, doors of opportunity to you. keep up the encouragement. and by the way whats to expect next? |
when things went smnoothly during the past 2 sessions at OAU., i thought the school had finally been delivered from all her problems. i thought students would not have to spend seven and half years studying a 5-year course wothout having any carry-overs. ![]() i was already congratulating present students that the school had turned the curve and that things would start looking up for it, but what do we have hear? but it seems its the same old story all over again. me feel students got to rise up and become very interested in campus politics and really have a say in congress and in the decision making progress. in my final year at ife, final year students were accused of sabotaging aluta, but why would we want to go on another round of struggle after those that got into other skuls when we were in part 3 were going for service and we were still big "bros" for school. let the generality of students take an interest in whats going on around them and not allow their collective destinies to be played with by some gangs that dont have anything to lose. as ife story take tire me, there something to cheer about ![]() the winner and the runner-up of the just concluded Intern show happen to be Ife grads. so we are still showing them up that we are really the best school in this country. A GREAT IFE to them ![]() |
@daslimpt i'll appreciate if u can mail me the NLNG HR no. i'll like to call them and know was up. pls mail to slacad@yahoo.com all da best c u @ d TOP |
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a true and very moving story. How do things like this keep happening? please read on A certain rich businessman had a beautiful daughter, who fell in love with a guy who was a cleaner. ![]() When the girl's father came to know about their love, he did not like it at all, and so began to protest about it. Now it happened that the two lovers decided to leave their homes for a happy future. The girl's father started searching for the two lovers but could not find them. At last, he accepted their love and asked them to come back home in a local newspaper. Her father said "If you both come back I will allow you to marry the guy you love, I accept that you love each other truly." So in this way, their love won and they returned home. The couple went to town to shop for the wedding dress. He was dressed in white shirt that day. While he was crossing the road to the other side to get some drinks for his wife, a car came and hit him and he died On the spot. The girl lost her senses. Two nights later, the girl's mother had a dream in which she saw an old lady. The old lady asked her mother to wash the blood stains of the Guy from her daughter's dress as soon as possible.
