CelebritiesRe: FIRS Slams N75m On Linda Ikeji For Tax Evasion - The Capital by Setaje(f): 12:15pm On Jun 23, 2016
Onegai:
Some months ago, I heard a story from an anonymous source (whose hands were not clean either), that the Banana Island mansion was not Linda Ikeji's, but belonged to someone connected to the last government (someone with links to the former president). That Linda sometimes fronts for people who need to hide a lot of money by claiming she's moving millions with her very public blogging business. That a lot of billionaires in Nigeria are actually a front for illegal stolen government money (this is a well-work method of hiding stolen funds and money-laundering in Nigeria). I only partially believed that story then because I knew the blog made good money but not N600million on a house money. Come to Ikoyi and hang out a bit, so you soon realise who can move that kind of money (not on social media where almost everyone is flaunting fake lifestyle, check it out yourself). I know she does well sponsorship adverts for some millions and sadly I also know she made good money blackmailing people (people used to pay her to take stories about them down and now other bloggers are trying to copy her).

But if she's denying ownership of the house, maybe FIRS went after her as a start to chasing the real owner of the house.
Darling. You just wrote what a lot of us already new. I call her the poster child of the devil.

PhonesRe: The Fraud In Slot Limited by Setaje(f): 9:42am On Apr 12, 2016
Slot is the most useless place to buy phone. This is what happened to my brother some years back. He bought a curve 4 from slot. When he got home, the phone started getting very hot. So hot that it could fry plantain. The next thing it went off. It came on later but it was still very hot. My brother went back the next day, they changed the phone for him but they put the old phone back into the pack. Arranged it very well for Another unlucky customer that would come and buy it! Since then my brother never went back to slot.

TheMadame:
Queens college,Yaba is a cesspool of corruption. Take it from a person that knows. From the principal down to the least worker to the parents/teachers association executives. Take it from a parent that knows, because I enrolled my daughter in that school two years ago as a JSS 1 student, but I had to convince my husband to withdraw her when she came home on holidays and told me extremely disturbing stories.
My daughter was in the bording school, and told me that on weekends, some male teachers would regularly come into the female hostels in the night, wake up all the female students in the bording house and organise a dancing competition for them, playing music on a hand held device. The girls were forced to dance in their night gowns while these male teachers oogled and cheered them on. My daughter jold me that this took place every weekend under the excuse of exercise.
I brought this matter up with the school authorities and the PTA but it was vehemently denied and covered up,because the PTA executive are in cahoots with the Principal and they share the 97 thousand PTA levy they bill all the JSS1 students every first term. In order to protect my daughter who was traumatised that she was being made to dance in her nightie every weekend for perverted male teachers,I withdrew her from the school at the end of the JSS1 session and enrolled her in a private school. She lost one year but I am glad I made an effort to save her from potential predators.
Themadame I hope u didn't enrol her in isl. That other secondary school in yaba inside unilag. I went to isl and Queens college was usually our rival school although ours was mixed. I can authoritatively say Queens college Is a den of lesbians. Good your removed her.

When you have a gay in the family, and u have the power of the media which u can use to shift the opinions of the gullible people. You try as much as possible to post things relating to that belief in such a way that u are never against them, u love to bring such issues to the media via your platform, u love to bring a human feeling to their abnormal orientation so u can justify that one family members' action. You have also lead many people astray knowingly to you but unknowingly to them! You are also secretly being used as poster child of the one who rules this world.

One day the Toyin girl posted a picture of both of them together. I think he also patronises her cream and people were really insulting him on her page and he replied everyone of them back wiv abuse and even boasted of how much he has, the kind of cars he drives and where he lives. Na that time I no say this one na fire for fire.

You did not add that the guy is very rich too. Someone somewhere is funding him. For him to have such guts to come out like this in public, you should no he has strong backings. Don't bother going to his page to abuse him. He has very sharp tongue.

This is what stands NNPC out... The recruitment is usually widely advertised and, to a large extent, people are taken on merit. I have never applied for a job with them but I know a couple of people who got into NNPC in 2012...really smart people...first class brains who are everyday Nigerians.

The only problem with their process is that it can be cancelled at any time... Those that were taken in 2012 applied in 2010!!!! and those who applied in 2012 wrote aptitude tests but it hasn't seen the light of day.

Bottom line is, When NNPC employs it is largely a free and fair process
This is very true. Even the gmd cannot put his child there because people would always blow whistle. Nnpc and dpr I no. Any other parastatal is like animal Kingdom. I can authoritatively tell you people were still being secretly recruited in cbn and other agencies since January this year. No be today. It's just that when they find out they usually sack all of them

CareerRe: Before You Cross To Another Bank, Consider These by Setaje(f): 7:08pm On Mar 15, 2016
Adesiji77:
Good observation @anonymox321

Crossing from one bank to another is a decision that one has to consider very carefully, especially now with the current state of the economy and the regulatory headwinds that banks are battling with.

Interestingly, banks where things seem to "work" tend to have almost zero tolerance for delayed performance as you rightly observed.

"There is no perfect system anywhere. The grass is not always greener on the other side."

I share the above sentiment 200%. These are invaluable lessons you learn when you move from one bank to another.

There is always a price to pay...

BusinessRe: Entrepreneurship In Nigeria Is A Scam And A Multiplier Of Poverty by Setaje(f): 12:48pm On Mar 14, 2016
Lescott7:
Sincerely all those things they call entrepreneurship in Nigeria are not in anyway related to the economic and common sense meaning of what entrepreneur actually meant. Most things they call entrepreneurship such as Barbing, tailoring,make-up,bead making etc are Vocational skills and not entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship in a normal sense is beyond what we call it in Nigeria and Universities in Nigeria are actually making this misconception, entrepreneurship is simply seeing opportunities and responding to it positively. The bottom line is that, you are not an entrepreneur when you into or have acquired the so called vocational skills wrongly perceived to be entrepreneurial skills. An entrepreneur is someone who sees opportunities where others fail to see and it's not someone that is learning barbing where there seems to be more than enough barbers.
God bless you.

You have written well. When a graduate take to jobs that are ordinarily done by school set holders, and illiterate. You can see something is totally wrong. We are not thinking. We cannot invent. We cannot reason or do anything. Everybody wants to open shop and buy and sell, you want to be a photographer, another one is into make up and baking. Those are jobs you do to keep body and soul. That is not entrepreneurship. Graduates are not thinking anymore.
