otswag:I think they actually 'deleted' it but didn't empty the recycle bin, so it could still be retrieved. A common mistake, though still not smart. More effort should have been directed at finding out who started spreading the video. This is who should have been punished not the unfortunate girl. Though, even if she wasn't expelled, I'm sure she would have withdrawn from school herself but that would have been less victimizing.Yep. |
temigracie:Covenant University doesn't have any rule against twerking unclad in the privacy of your room, but I'm sure it has a rule against the viewing and distribution of nude videos. If CU judges were just, they'd punish the people who recovered and shared the video after it was deleted. |
magicfingers009:Pictures? |
penquin:she didn't do anything wrong. |
Teettyllayho:Moderators with hard sections will have to get much better incentives, and that will be perceived as unfair by those with smaller incentives. |
The problem with small incentives is that they annoy the best moderators, because such incentives are nothing compared to time they invest. |
I feel so sad for her. She should not have been expelled if she actually had the strenght to come back after all her mates had seen the video. |
chukwudi44:You seem to be right. He was born muslim but his wife converted him to Christianity: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adams_Oshiomhole |
So they won't pick Fashola. How sad. Is this a good idea? |
Nairaland Forum is in need of a paid super-moderator who will be in charge of keeping the home page of Nairaland up-to-date at all times. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for: 1) Posting interesting topics from all sections to the front page regularly, 2) Posting and promoting accurate stories on Nairaland Forum before they appear on other websites 3) Maintaining and dramatically increasing the level of traffic on Nairaland. He/she will also be expected to be very good at doing all the other things that our volunteer super-moderators do such as deleting bad content, banning rule-breakers appropriately, moving threads to the right sections, editing threads to correct typos and inaccurate titles, making discussion threads more interesting by posting quality comments on them, and handling complaints in a way that makes members happy. This is not a 9to5 job. It's a job that requires staying connected to Nairaland all day, everyday, particularly when Nigerians are awake. During working hours you'll work on your laptop in your home office. After working hours, you'll remain active by using your mobile phone/tablet. If you're interested, please follow this topic and I will update it with information about how to apply for the job and the tests that you'll take. |

iCool:You shouldn't have. Don't derail threads, says rule 1. Pls create a new thread so the forum can remain organized. Thanks a million. |

edlion57:You don't know what they are called, which means you don't know anything about how to take care of them. Pls read up on Neo Mastiffs bro. |
Why must they be married? What's your business with them? |
osuntokun:Wow, that's a huge dog. But he looks so gentle. |

Hadizy:If this is true and he has no carry-overs or other problems then I don't see why he should drop out. The degree is very useful and he'll regret not having it, though it won't stop him from being successful in business. I didn't drop out of uni to pursue Nairaland, I dropped out because I had issues that made it hard for me to cope, and those issues were not solved because we didn't understand them. By the time I started pursuing business, I would have had to start again from square one, so I decided to use those 5 - 6 years for business instead. Bill Gates took a break from university because he discovered a once-in-a-lifetime business opportunity that he could not afford to miss. If Microsoft hadn't become such a phenomenal success, he would have returned to school. So maybe your friend should just take a 1 year break to face his business. I believe there's a provision for that if he notifies the school authorities in advance instead of just leaving. If after 1 year of business, he still doesn't feel the need to go back to spend just one more year to get his degree, then you can reluctantly support him. |
Ibnsultan:mail supermods. I'm busy at the moment. I'm sorry that this did not make the home page. |
