Yes she was stupid to have not deleted the video immediately she recorded it but that is not a crime.
I think they actually 'deleted' it but didn't empty the recycle bin, so it could still be retrieved. A common mistake, though still not smart.

More effort should have been directed at finding out who started spreading the video. This is who should have been punished not the unfortunate girl. Though, even if she wasn't expelled, I'm sure she would have withdrawn from school herself but that would have been less victimizing.
Yep.

She is aware of those rules. She broke the rules delibrately. Why will an undergraduate twerk unclad?
Covenant University doesn't have any rule against twerking unclad in the privacy of your room, but I'm sure it has a rule against the viewing and distribution of nude videos. If CU judges were just, they'd punish the people who recovered and shared the video after it was deleted.

. And is there no way these incentives can be increased?
Moderators with hard sections will have to get much better incentives, and that will be perceived as unfair by those with smaller incentives.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Paid Super-moderator For Nairaland. Good or Bad? by Seun(mod): 6:32pm On Oct 29, 2014
The problem with small incentives is that they annoy the best moderators, because such incentives are nothing compared to time they invest.

I feel so sad for her. She should not have been expelled if she actually had the strenght to come back after all her mates had seen the video.

Jobs/VacanciesPaid Super-Moderator Who Updates The Home Page by Seun(mod):
Nairaland Forum is in need of a paid super-moderator who will be in charge of keeping the home page of Nairaland up-to-date at all times.

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for:
1) Posting interesting topics from all sections to the front page regularly,
2) Posting and promoting accurate stories on Nairaland Forum before they appear on other websites
3) Maintaining and dramatically increasing the level of traffic on Nairaland.

He/she will also be expected to be very good at doing all the other things that our volunteer super-moderators do such as deleting bad content, banning rule-breakers appropriately, moving threads to the right sections, editing threads to correct typos and inaccurate titles, making discussion threads more interesting by posting quality comments on them, and handling complaints in a way that makes members happy.

This is not a 9to5 job. It's a job that requires staying connected to Nairaland all day, everyday, particularly when Nigerians are awake. During working hours you'll work on your laptop in your home office. After working hours, you'll remain active by using your mobile phone/tablet.
If you're interested, please follow this topic and I will update it with information about how to apply for the job and the tests that you'll take.

The logout button is just below the "trending" button on 5.5 inches screen device....and its being a nuisance because many times I I tend clicking the "Trending" I many times end up logging myself out and am sure some other people are having the same issue....I suggest you use a proper button control like the "search" and you move the logout somewhere else like after the "time"....some peoples handz bigger than "giant fallon" grin in "jack the giant slayer" not mine sha....so anyway just my suggestion
Djtm:
same here. I've lost count of the number of times I've mistakenly logged out.

Lol me too
dominique:
It has happened to me a couple of times before.
We think we've fixed this issue by changing the position of the logout link. Please confirm that this issue has been resolved to your satisfaction.

Please help me talk to him, he's almost through and should be graduating next year.
If this is true and he has no carry-overs or other problems then I don't see why he should drop out. The degree is very useful and he'll regret not having it, though it won't stop him from being successful in business. I didn't drop out of uni to pursue Nairaland, I dropped out because I had issues that made it hard for me to cope, and those issues were not solved because we didn't understand them. By the time I started pursuing business, I would have had to start again from square one, so I decided to use those 5 - 6 years for business instead.

Bill Gates took a break from university because he discovered a once-in-a-lifetime business opportunity that he could not afford to miss. If Microsoft hadn't become such a phenomenal success, he would have returned to school. So maybe your friend should just take a 1 year break to face his business. I believe there's a provision for that if he notifies the school authorities in advance instead of just leaving. If after 1 year of business, he still doesn't feel the need to go back to spend just one more year to get his degree, then you can reluctantly support him.
