CrimeRe: 419 Scammers Use Genevieve Nnaji's Picture by Seun(mod): 6:33pm On May 29, 2006
Actually, they know the truth about Genevieve Nnaji:
Her pictures are also used by scammers in Advance Fee Fraud and on dating sites. She is in no way connected to these scams. The scammers use her pictures without her permission. The Franca Yormie and Rosemary Beko stories are examples of such scams.
BusinessRe: Capitalism: Love It Or Hate It? Is It Here To Stay? by Seun(mod): 6:10pm On May 29, 2006
Seun, are you saying monopolies are great?
WesleyanA, it's obvious you didn't read my previous posts at all. Please, do read them. Monopolies are terrible. Competition is great. Capitalism promotes competition, but monopolies are created by bad politics.

in the game monopoly, you are forced to advance to the position selected to you by a random pair of dice. This is the opposite of capitalism because under capitalism you get to choose which product or service you want to buy. If the product is too expensive, you just dump it. The "monopoly" game is more like a communist game!

I agree that he's likely to do well as a president, and I'll vote for him if Dr. Okonjo-Iweala and Pat Utomi are not contesting. I just don't like political messiahs. It's a personal thing. He's good, and he's handsome too. cheesy

BusinessUpcoming Scriptwriter Wants To Create TV Ads by Seun(mod): 3:22pm On May 29, 2006
dear seun,

My name is Anyanwuocha Chukwuma, an upcoming movie writer. I have so many ideas on fantastic television adverts in which my beloved Glo can use to produce their tv adverts.

Please I will humply like you to help me. Thanks

Hello Chukwuma,

You should try to market your services to smaller established businesses that are struggling to sell various products. You can meet movie marketers and strike a deal to include your clients' adverts at the beginning of their movies.

Can I see some samples of your work? Good luck!

Seun
What would you advice, please?

BusinessRe: Private Sector Alternative To NEPA: Aba Power Project by Seun(mod): 1:38pm On May 29, 2006
Investors, you are encouraged to take the issue of power generation and distrbution very seriously. There's a high demand for reliable electricity minus the cost of buying and maintaining a power generator. Higher prices are ok.

PoliticsRe: Donald Duke For 2007 Presidency? by Seun(mod): 12:57pm On May 29, 2006
If Chief Madam Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala does not contest, I will support Donald Duke.
But I hate one thing about him: I think he's a socialist:
If we, the democratic government, cannot deliver food for the mass of people we can forget about democracy.
My response: "Listen, my dear oga, if I want food I will go to Mr. Biggs or a road-side buka. The proper role of government is to enforce law and order and get out of the way so the private sector can generate prosperity. If you don't have a plan for the reform of the political and legal systems, we don't need you wasting our tax money trying to provide everything for free. Government is not Father Christmas and we are not children of politicians!" cheesy
BusinessPrivate Sector Alternative To NEPA: Aba Power Project by Seun(mod): 12:39pm On May 29, 2006
A company known as Geometric Power Limited has commenced construction of a model power plant In Aba, powered by Natural gas. Apart from electric power generation, they are also going to be involved in the "transmission and distribution of power to industrial clusters, commercial entities and the general public in Nigeria and sub-Saharan African countries."

The average annual power supply in Aba is currently at 20% of its total demand! The quality of power supply to industries is inadequate to meet their needs hence most businesses rely on privately generated power to run their machines and industrial equipment at very high costs. GPL's goal is to provide reliable, affordable and efficient power supply to all its customers, especially the industrial clusters at Aba whose productivity and viability have been drastically affected over several years by the inadequacy of the public power supply system from Nigerian Electric Power Authority (NEPA).

This new power plant with a minimum installed capacity of 120MW being built by Geometric Power Limited is strategically located in Aba, the commercial capital city of Abia State, South Eastern part of Nigeria . Aba is convenient for this first industry-centered independent power plant because it already has gas pipeline and it has large cluster of sustainable industries that need reliable electric power. Several industries are poised to expand production capacity, and those which have shutdown because of power supply problems are expected to come back on stream after the completion of this power plant.

The plant is designed to provide a model for the emergence of high reliability in power supply especially for the industrial sector, and to drive positive economic growth in Nigeria and trade within Sub-Saharan Africa. This privately owned power plant in Nigeria will serve the industrial and commercial customers, as well as residences.
BusinessRe: Transportation Business In Nigeria by Seun(mod): 11:48am On May 29, 2006
There's nothing special about this business. Buy a luxury bus and take it to the garage. Operate it with a greater amount of respect for passengers and charge more. This will bring naira into your pocket. grin
Christianity EtcRe: Skeptics And Atheists In Nigeria: How Do You Manage? by Seun(mod): 11:11am On May 29, 2006
Hehe. Actually, layi, there is a sixth sense and it is called reason. Reason is the faculty that analyses information from the five senses - sight, hearing, touch, smell, taste - and draws conclusions about the true nature of the world. And there is a seventh sense and it is called imagination. This is how people experience God! cheesy

Christianity EtcRe: Can You Marry Someone Who Doesn't Believe In God? by Seun(mod): 9:58pm On May 28, 2006
since God is the father in law of all believing families,
the devil will be the unbelivers father and father in law
Which is why Christians, having the same Father, must not marry each other: that will be incest!! cheesy
BusinessRe: Dealing With Financial Difficulties by Seun(mod): 8:21pm On May 28, 2006
If people were really content with what they had, they wouldnt be taking loans in the first place.
I feel it only makes sense to take a loan for something you really, really need now, or a business project that is still very lucrative - like selling recharge cards in the early days (not now o). I feel that people who routinely take loans are not being very prudent financially. The banks won't offer you such easy loans if they weren't making so much money out of each loan that they can afford a high default rate.

Even countries that run a deficit budget NEED to take loans.
Actually, they do NOT need most of those loans. Politicians like to borrow money to execute various projects that will earn them re-election favors and please the people who sponsored their campaigns. They know that by the time those long term loans become burdensome to the country they will be out of office. It will be the successors' problem!
