You can set up a blog for free, by hosting it at blogger.com. If you are really out to make money, you can go ahead and choose a clever domain name for your blog and a traditional (wordpress) web hosting account which costs just a few dollars. Really, the time you will spend writing for your blog is what matters most. and don't forget to Google it! If you are vigilant, you may wonder why I'm running a forum and not blogging for dollars as I am recommending. It's because I don't enjoy writing very much. I particularly don't enjoy writing about what Nigerians want to read. Now what do Nigerians want to read? Ask your friends! There is a big hole in the Nigerian blogosphere waiting to be filled. i wish I could be a part of it, but the truth is that blogging is really a solitary activity. |
Why can't every Nigerian abroad be a good ambassador, like Mrs Omokorede? ![]() |
Tithes and offerings are very important to all contemporary church denominations in Nigeria The Redeemed Christian Church Of God (RCCG) "A primary source of income for the RCCG is through tithe collection. High-ranking officials are appointed in the RCCG to ensure that tithes are properly collected at the parish level and properly accounted for and remitted to the national headquarters.154 The emphasis placed on tithe in RCCG is explicitly stated as a central pillar of the church’s “fundamental beliefs”: “regular payment of tithe and offering is obligatory, Tithes and offerings must be paid on every income e.g. salary, profit from business transactions, gifts, etc." "An assistant pastor remains in that position for at least five years “with real achievements”. Such achievements include the demonstration of enhanced productivity in terms of tithes and attendance." "There are some conditions that may bring about denial of ordination. Such conditions include (i) a drop in the level of moneys collected as tithes; (ii) a decline in the number of church attendants (which is different from and higher than membership); (iii) petition against a candidate by a church member." Other Churches Will fill you in later. |

When you're dead, you're dead. What does it matter where you're buried? |
I want religions to stop claiming to possess absolute truths that cannot be invalidated through human judgement. |
President Obasanjohas absolutely nothing to do with the GSm revolution. We should credit the entrepreneurs who made it happen, and not the politicians who like to take credit for anything that mistakenly works. |
Thanks a million for sharing! |
I still believe in this dream with the right leadership Nigeria can be a super power, twenty years ago who would believe that the Chinese would rule the world’s economy. The ultimate for a nation is not about ruling the world! It's about making your people happy, nothing more. |
Our first good president who, being a human being and not a god, was almost led astray by selfish praise-singers. But he was saved by the mechanism of democracy and worked hard for the rest of his tenure. |
Please feel free to keep redefining your question until we all lose interest! ![]() |
It's not easy not to believe in God (and supernatural miracles) in Nigeria. Left, right, center, people are claiming miracles and supernatural intervention. Every Nigerian - politicians, businessmen, educators, beggars, and criminals inclusive - believes in the miracle working God, the devil, demons, witches, wizards, and 'spiritual attacks'! Is there someone else on Nairaland who lives in Nigeria and does not believe in God? How do you manage to hold on to your unbelief in the midst of all these dogmatic believers? Whew, isn't this country too hot?! - a concerned Nigerian unbeliever. |
Please o. Don't disgrace Nigerian parents o! ![]() |
"Adsense ready content" is snake oil. avoid it. |
If you're a pretty good writer, you should start a blog. You can write about your experiences either as a Nigerian or one who is physically challenged. Then you promote the blog so people fall in love with it. Then you put ads on it and make sweet money every month. Nairaland webmasters have a lot of knowledge which we can share with you. "Aunt, I did not send my daughter all the way to this school to learn how to draw. You are of no use to me. Where are the proper teachers?" |
It suits women better. Sorry. Are you saying leadership suits men more than women? |
Watch this funny short movie: [flash=425,350] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s86HnJbp2qs[/flash] It's about a Nigerian woman in the UK, "Mrs. Omokorede", who really wants her daughter to be a doctor! |
So you're hating on our beloved Tyra because of Anastasia's bad behaviour. That's not fair! |
Are you saying that men can't have good telephone manners? Or that women can't lead? |
Nice people don't have to be critical of others (i.e. goody two shoes). They can be nice and also accepting of others. You make it sound as if it is either one is nasty like Naomi Campbell or one is good and demanding. That's not so. |
Tel us about your bad experience with Michael Craig. |
mamaput: I love Naomi she even knows how to msbehave in public with out thinking what will people say.<sarcasm>Misbehaviour is clearly a positive quality in a person.</sarcasm> |
I guess she wants the most desperate men. ![]() |
