Yeah. Our culture is too primitive. Example: there are educated Nigerian mothers who will tell their daughters who are being abused and almost killed by their husbands in front of their children that "suuru" (patience) is the answer. We see that in the movies too. The movies reflect the primitive state of our culture. |

Feel free to set up your own power plant. Private investors are currently being licensed. You buy gas generators and supply towns or estates. Contact the relevant government agencies for more information. |
That's not true. Most Nollywood films I've watched have been distinctly and regretably Nigerian. Nollywood is not at all an American wannabe industry; Nigerian films are, unfortunately, faithful to our culture. |

<sarcasm> Thousands of Africans and Arabs are dying in wars and genocides caused by homosexuality and loose morals. Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Hurricans, Floods, Storms and and HIV are also caused by bad morals i.e. sex. </asarcasm> |

HISTORY AND BUSINESS OF TRANSCORP Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc (''Transcorp'' or "the Company'') was incorporated on the 17th day of November 2004 with the objective of creating a globally competitive industrial conglomerate which will supply world class products and services to local and international markets. This was in response to the need to establish a ''mega corporation'', ''created''in Nigeria, built by Nigerians and owned by all Nigerians, which will respond to market opportunities that require heavy capital investment not just at home but in the sub region and around the World. Such an entity will be the vehicle to reposition Nigeria in Africa and the World, as a nation ready to compete in global markets. It is the firm belief of the founders that a Nigerian Corporation that can effectively take on mega projects the size of such projects like the West Africa Gas Pipe Line and the Trans Sahara Pipe Line was long overdue. Such a Corporation will also serve as a vehicle to exploit emerging opportunities in the global market place such as supplying cassava feeds to the livestock producers of Western Europe, or supplying the United States markets not just with crude oil but also with refined petroleum products that have higher margins and guarantee that the best jobs and the best technology stay here in Nigeria. http://africancapitalmarkets.com/stock/page.php?id=13 |
