cardoctor:

Pls kindly specify:
1. Make
2. Model
3. Year of manufacture
4. Manual or automatic
5. Number of cylinders
6. Diesel or petrol or Hybrid
7. Issues with the car

That's all.

Car Doctor
1. toyota
2. rav 4
3. 2007
4. auto
5. 4
6. petrol
7. when gearbox is cold it will not move when engaged in drive except

a. i raise the engine several times when engaged and it will move when the oil gets hot that is when the gear will start selecting and all the gear will select properly. this usually results in the jerk when it engages

b i raise the engine and keep the pressure at about 2k rpm or a bit higher for about a minute or less and it softly engages and it will start selecting with no issues.

Small History
The gear oil is leaking. i have serviced and changed the oil/oil filter when it started leaking but the mech doesnt want to decouple the gear to replace the seals because he feels the gear will fall apart and i have to buy another one. i currently use WS oil and i check and top it up cause of the leaks.

what is the best way to resolve this issue.

PoliticsRe: Fashola Begs Nigerians To Accept Hike In Electricity Bill by seun001(m): 3:52pm On Dec 15, 2015
citizenisb:
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/12/fg-pushes-for-electricity-tariff-increase/

MINISTER of Power, Works and Housing Mr. Babatunde Fashola, said Nigerians should expect increase in electricity tariff in no distant time. This is as he also indicated the Ministry of Petroleum has signified their interest to build certain critical pipelines to transport gas to the power plants that will add another 2,000 mega watts to the national grid within 12-15 months.

According to him, “By far the most complex challenge is the problem of tariff. It is complex because it is more in the hands of citizens than in the hands of Government.

“The role of Government is to set the tariff and in doing so, Government has committed to what is called a Multi-Year Tariff Order. This was done in order to attract investors to the market; otherwise we will not have achieved the privatization if the price of the product is not attractive to the investors.

“The tariff is the price of producing power. It covers cost of generation, gas purchase, transportation, transformers, staff costs and so on, disaggregated and charged per kilowatt/hour to make the business of power profitable.

“What Government did was to spread it over a number of years so that the impact is not felt at once but over a periodic incremental process. I know that it has been a contentious matter, but I make this fervent appeal to consumers to give us the benefit of doubt, to forbear and accept it.
Mr Fashola, I doubt paying for the bills is the problem. Paying for power you did not use is what should be dealt with before increasing tariffs. this is not rocket science.

Car TalkRe: Nissan And Stallion Nigeria Sign Assembly Deal by seun001(m): 12:26pm On Oct 10, 2013
hercules07: Where will the facilities come from, heaven? The banks are not going to loan anybody money to buy cars, do you think they are silly? Banks are even reluctant to loan money to business people, it is is a car that does not bring in money they will now concentrate on. We needed to sanitise the spare parts market (manufacture spares under license from OEMs) and educate the mechanics who work on our cars, if we can fix that area, we keep local jobs while adding quality to the used cars imported into the country, our leaders keep making policies that will benefit a few and not the majority.
Let's say u obtained a loan to purchase a car for 1.5M tenured 3 years (36 months)
Interest is @ 24% making it 30k interest payment in the first month.
Principal repayment - 41,666 monthly
Therefore total monthly repayment is 71,666

Dsr is 33.33%. Therefore,ur income monthly to enable you obtain ds loan should be nothing less than 215000 after tax.

How many Nigerians earn this amount?
And this is just eligibility to obtain the loan without considering any other variable/assessments.
Note - obtaining a loan @ 24% for more than a year is not tenable especially for a non- productive venture.

A-ZeD:
Stallion motors have been in Nigeria for how many years now. Do you know anybody that has bought a brand new car from them?

Brand new cars are not cheap anywhere in the world and most countries have a credit system which Nigeria doesn't have.

The policy is stupid.
Thank you.
How many Nigerians purchase new cars?
How many Nigerians change their new cars every 5 years?

Or
How many Nigerians change their tokunbo cars for New cars?
How many Nigerians change their tokunbo cars every 5 years?

Currently, How many new cars are purchased in Nigeria by individuals after deducting company purchases and public officials?

PoliticsRe: Abuja Gridlock: Aturu, Ogunye Condemn Patience Jonathan by seun001(m): 11:25am On Aug 17, 2013
HNosegbe: In all of the talk about this issue, I haven't heard one important factor: Cost.

What is the COST of all these jamborees to the country?

How much was spent on the programme, on paying those dancers, on refreshments, on attires, on decorations etc?

What is the opportunity cost? Couldn't the time spent on this pointless programme have been better spent elsewhere? What about the soldiers providing "security", couldn't they have been better put to use fighting the BH insurgents in the north?

Above all, what was the cost to the ordinary Abuja residents? What about those who were late to work? Those who missed their flights? Pregnant women being rushed to hospital? People who had important business appointments?

Has anyone tried to contemplate the COST of all these unnecessary traffic jams induced by this megalomaniac called a "First Lady"?

Do we think at all in this country?
To get all those women to show up N50m/state

There was a year lizards anatomy was to be used as biology experiments in SSCE.it was total annihilation for the lizards in our school compound oh.....to get the skeleton,we had to boil them and strip them of their skin.....and yes,we ate them too cos their flesh looked/felt like fish.

I remember nailing a paint bucket cover to a stick and rolling it around like a car even running at high speeds....once, i raised the stick too high while running and it got stuck in the sand, the upper edge of the stick buried itself in my hip just beside my solar plexus......very painful.was surprised my mum found it more painful cos she cried a lot about it.
