Huawei have thier own app store called app gallery, where developers can post thier apps there, I don't think it can affect them. Google is shooting themselves in the foot. When harmony os launch and Chinese government force all thier oem to use that will be the end of andriod. Google is trying to create a monopoly, but you know it's not going to end well.

The tech war and restriction to trade with Major chinese tech giant.

The rules of development and advancement states that u should sell your non sensitive tech to other tech companies so that u will make money and they will inturn rely on you.
If u refuse to trade, other tech company will be forced to push tons of R & in that direction this means u v s successfully created competition for ur self and they may eventually push u out of market.

That is what is playing out in Harmony OS, alternative appstore, the new Chinese socs fabricating plants(SMIC) and the rise of Chinese silicon valey in zhong guan cun.

I read somewhere that they were about to launch their own OS called HarmonyOS, if its done then all is left is to get developers on board create some key important apps and they are good to go.
They part that will be tricky are apps owned by google, eg Google maps, youtube, etc.
It will be tricky.

There is already equivalent of google map called baidu, their is youtube and co equivalent in tencent etc the problem is that it is not a easy task to get developers on board, if it was that easy, windows mobile wouldn't have failed. Harmony OS will be successful in main land China and it is easier to get chinese developer on board since China already has equivalent or advance replica of western core apps. However it is of no use because Huawei has firmly secured Chinese market even without google suit so the battle is India, Europe and outside Chinese domain and google and Apple rules those places, they need a smartway to bring in developer in even though they v budgeted $1.5billion for that purpose, money alone can't get it done if not microsoft would have thrown triple of that out.

The solution is what they have done but google has moved in to checkmate them.

lets see the next move, my problem is it will take another 5 to 8months to get the clear picture of their next step.

Sun Tzu states that lay low and work hard until appointed time, that is what Huawei and chinese government are doing.

The plan is to create alternative app store which is already in existence, encourage developers to move on board and then migrate the system to the their own OS. All Chinese phone manufacturers are on board and it is joint work.
They pilot it with shareit app which is joint work btw BBK, Xiaomi, Huawei, Miezu, zte and others

Huawei needed to be killed by all means and google suit is one way to get it killed. Huawei has find away around it and all chinese phone manufacturers are working together to create alternative suit which includes joint alternative app store. Realme, OPPO, IQOO, VIVO, ZTE and so many are already on baord, they are working together to even encourage developers to create ecosystem around that.

If they are successful in that, what do u think will be next?
The answer is open for all to see.
Google can't sit back and allow that to happen even though they are not happy with what Trump is diong, they know it will push other manufacturers to look for alternative but they will not make it easy for smooth ride for that alternative to take off, that alternative will not use andriod platform as a spring board.

I got that and I'm saying IBM is not in the league of HTC and RIM. Not even comparable. HTC was kicked out of the phone manufacturing industry (all the way from the the lion's share downhill). They went into virtual reality and even they, they aren't in the the very top, no status. They've cut their staff base by 1,500 and counting. RIM was worse, they were completely kicked out. It's no longer a smart phone company. It's now into security.

Point is, both RIM and HTC didn't just lose market value or shift manufacturing line, they went downhill in the tech company rankings generally. IBM on the other hand sold some of its assets to Lenovo (ThinkPad was originally IBM). This made them to lose popularity cause people don't know about their mainframes as much they knew about their PCs. They also lost some of their market share. But they have remained consistent in developing the hardware components for some of these PC's. They still manufacture mainframe computers. They still have the highest spread and employee base and they are still in the top 10 in terms of market value. Not even a single tech company has been in the industry as long as IBM, not even one and for them to still have this status, I completely agree with the other guy that it's unfair to lump them up with those other firms.

Good. And It still produces hardware today and has diversified into AI, business solutions, data mining, etc. It is still the oldest surving IT firm and one of the largest. It's market value dropped considerably but it wasn't necessarily pushed out of it's market line. Newer firms with more diverse lines of business overtook IBM but like the other guy said, you don't lump it up with those other firms who clearly left the picture.

Just like i said to d guy ealier, HTC and RIM are still are still in line of business closely related to what we know them for and they are also leaders in such area but others are raking in billion of $ in multiple of what they are making in a field they almost single handedly forged out.

They invents almost everything about computer from the first mordern day electronic computer (Vacuum Tube Multiplier) to hard disk. They are even the inventor of pictograme we use in mordern computer today and gave it out to Steve Job freely because of lack of vision.
IBM is supposed to dominates computer world both hardware and software.
Image a company that invented the way OS works on computer yet couldn't have it own OS.

It was this humiliation that empowered Sony and Sony came and smashed both of them. As at the time Sega was pushed out of market, they had $4billion cash at hand in 1996, just like apple of today that has several billions to play around.

No matter what you sell and how good ur marketing is, innovation still rules, if cocacola still innovates in disguise who is apple to stagnat. Even Certified Luxury comapnies such as BUGATI, FERRARI, ROLLS ROYCE, MASERATI, LARMBOGINI ETC all innovates, infact their innovation set tones for future car designs for decades. What u see in those cars is what other manufactures copies 10years later.

The Dimensity are top shelf mid range SoCs whilst the Helio series is still segregated by alphabet classes.

Im suspecting mediatek may likely discontinue P series and focus solely on Dimensity 1000 series and 800 series while G series will make up 4G lower midrange while Dimensity 1000 will go for upper midrange 5G and Dimensity 800 will fill in for lower midrange 5G.

What ever step qualcom takes has profond influence on what the direction madiatek will face.

They use specs to advertise because it gives you idea of what to expect.
Sometimes ur expectation might be matched or might be disappointments.
If a phone uses SD 855 plus socs, sony imx 586 camera sensor and 65watt charger etc u already know you have great phone beyond decent, no matter how poor the software is. However if a manufacutere announces UNISOC SC7731E socs, with very bad camera sensor and 5watt charge, u will know that no matter how smooth the software is, the phone will be a disappointments.

There are apps that authenticates specs of ur phone, just download and run it.

Specs is very important as well as optimisation, boths goes hands in hand.

Their is no optimization that will make helio p22 better than helio P90 or SD 855.

Software enhances the job of hardware but software can't make a bad harware great, Software can only better a good harware example is gcam, gcam makes good sensor turn up a monster pictures but no gcam or apple camera apps will make the sensor on bird D716 turn up with any spectacle picture.

I v watch people mistake camera sensor for camera mega pixel, they are 2 different things and people says Iphone only have so and so mega pixel and the picture quality is better than motorola with so and so mega pixel.

Sensor determines quality picture because it control amount of light that entres, therefore apple and google use great sensors but lower mega pixel.

There is different between major updates and security patch, SAmsung only gets 3 major updates and many security patches depending on number of bugs to fix and features to be updated.

She does not get 2 major updates in a year and samsung doesn't push more than 3 major updates through out life time of their phones.

select your phone, select your variant code.
pls note the variant code before u select ooo.

Dont download global rom on chinese variant or vice versa.
