Samsung did this to cause confusion with the S10e. Processors aren't everything and mid range SD processors are pretty good. This phone will give you ultra wide, livefocus videos etc with the camera thanks to its rotating technique while S10e wont and it also defeats the punch hole which some aren't fine with. The latter has a flagship processor, name, SD card, headphone jack etc but this thing is gonna move units and cause headache between potential buyers. Dont forget that they aren't even of the same screen size as well

The design is not traditional Samsung, it was designed by Samsung Chinese team and meant for only chinese market, Samsung decided to launch it world wide when the design came out extra ordinary.

For all those anti China guys, this was design by Chinese team, this is the reasons it was so radical and so
un-Samsung like phone. Infact people are begining to call out iPhone to also start using Chinese design team for their phones.

Yes that's also what's I've read, but they're the only ones they can pin their hopes on, they can't get it from Huawei even if they wanted to because of the ban by their government, they have problems with Qualcomm and even if they would have ever looked to Mediatek, they are nowhere close to implementing 5G.

The ban is only for telecom service provider and the phone ban only affect government workers, millitary and special agencies such as contractors.

I'm aware of that but we all know it used to be American company first and the alternative will also be American company and the next alternative will still be American company or France, Germany etc not China.

Insiders told Chinese media Ifeng Tech that “the one-sided love is not going to work,” implying Engadget’s report saying Huawei will be “open” to sell the 5G Balong 5000 chipsets exclusively to Apple was not solid.

“Balong is mainly used for supporting Huawei’s smart products, such as phones and IoT products, and is currently for Huawei’s internal use only,” a Huawei representative said earlier this year.

Offering an olive branch of 5G technology to one of its biggest rivals is surprising for Huawei. The Chinese company might be Apple’s last chance as Apple was turned down by Qualcomm and Samsung in purchasing 5G chips.

Huawei announced its first 5G chip Balong 5000 and the Huawei 5G CPE Pro, the first commercial 5G device powered by the chip, in Feburary at this year’s Mobile World Congress. The company said that the chip can download at a speed as fast as 6.5 Gbps, 10 times faster than top 4G LTE speeds today. And it supports a broad range of 5G products other than smartphones, such as home broadband devices, vehicle-mounted devices, and 5G modules.

“The Balong 5000 will open up a whole new world to consumers,” said Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei’s Consumer Business Group.

Sometimes it is not about quality but profits for instance Huawei, semiens, janipa, Qualcomm, erricson and Co are in the same business but all others are established and are capitalist in nature therefore their product is expensive and the after sale services is more costlier and unreliable but Huawei is coming from communism perspective and they are also trying to break into already dominated market so their product is cheap and their after sales service is free. This overall reduce the cost of providing telecomication services by network providers.
You think if it was about quality, Germany will abandoned her own semiens and erricson for chinese Huawei? No every country is looking for who will subsidize their cost of living even at the detriment of their own company because they will make it up in another place but bringing down inflation through cheap labor and services, that is why America also outsource to China.

This guys are the reason Buhari is revoking the license of the Disco sold by Jonathan, the present owners are stifling the disco off the necessary investment and are dragging the Genco backward. Imagine the stupid Disco said they cant buy up to 3000WM of electricity insist that Genco should not generate more than 2000MW because they don't have the capacity to distribute.

If truely Huawei is that bad, why did Germany, UK and other members of five eyes aliance except Australia that has axe to grind with China refused to comply with America to the extent that America now result to threatening her allies with serious consequences.

I guess the OP is not aware that America is trying to sanction Eni, Rosneft and other companies financing nord stream 2 pipeline just because America wants to supply expensive shale Gass to Europe.

Toshiba yesterday, Huawei today!

Thirty years ago, Toshiba exported precision instruments to Russia. The United States has imposed the following penalties on Toshiba Group

1: The Japanese Police Department was ordered to arrest Erhe Lin, President of Toshiba Machinery Foundry, and Hiroshima Tanamura, President of Machine Tool Business, and sentenced to 10 years'imprisonment.

2: Closing Toshiba's factory in the United States

3: A 100% tariff on Toshiba products sold to the United States

4: As an alternative punishment to the previous one, Toshiba's exports to the United States were banned for five years.

5: A huge fine of 1 trillion yen was imposed on Toshiba, equivalent to $16 billion today.

In order to calm the anger of the United States, Japan has imposed severe penalties on Toshiba Group:

First, Japan's semiconductor industry will unconditionally share technology with American companies.

Second, Toshiba spent 100 million yen to publish a full-page apology advertisement in all major newspapers in the United States.

Thirdly, Japan Semiconductor Association invested 9 million US dollars to launch various relations lobbying in the US Congress, and this lobbying has become the most costly lobbying war in history.

Fourthly, the chairman and general manager of Toshiba Group resigned.

Fifthly, by an administrative order issued by the Ministry of Communications, Toshiba is prohibited from exporting any products to 14 countries for a period of one year.

This is not peculiar to Huawei and Toshiba, French company have suffered similar issue in the past and presently Russian oil company Rosneft and millitary equipment giant that produces S-400 surface to air missile even Canada's Bombardier is suffering the same thing with different excuses.
The hidden truth is America finds away to distroy corporation they can't compete with, right now Huawei is their biggest problem in telecominication, Rosneft in Gass sector and Almaz—Antey (S-400).

In the case of Almaz-Anty S400 manufacturer, it is the buying countries that American government wants to sanction to deter countries from buying it and increase the chance of Thaad and Patriot sales.
