i have my console set to US Store , and i use a US Address. that was the only way i was able to work around the billing problem . give it a try and let us knw hw it goes.
All the best

There is no billing problem. Maybe there used to be. Upgrade your console to the latest os and switch your location to Nigeria. Add your card. I’ve used my wife’s zenith and my Stanbic on it. My friend uses gtb and another uses...I can’t remember. If I get home today I’ll check what store my console is connected to. I know I just selected Nigeria and that was all she wrote. This is a PS4 problem. You shouldn’t suffer it.

Dude, if you have a hard drive (USB 3.0, over 500GB) and no trust issues, send it to Abuja and I’ll copy all the games for you free. I don’t have the gears but I can download them all this weekend. I’ll send it back. I think GIG logistics could help with that.

And yeah, forza horizon 4 is just amazing. Can’t seem to stop playing. Even my fifa 19 would be wondering where I went .

Currently have sniper elite 4 (get it this month on live gold before they remove it), the division ( my game of the year. Play it at least an hour everyday. Hit me up let’s play together anyone), quantum break, battlefield 1(also on Xbox live, don’t miss this one. Jaw dropping graphics and I am a COD fanboy o) and of course, the almighty FIFA 19. Will download new games when I am done with these. Usually two or three weeks.

@ seunpayne what do you mean buy " I paid someone 1k and they copied the game for me ". I don't understand this

So Xbox one allows you to transfer games in two ways. Usually regardless of if you installed it via disc or download, the game must be copied to the hard drive of the console. Now if you were to plug an external hard drive into the console you can copy the installed games into said hard drive and then copy it into another console. You should know that you will have to also have bought the game on the other account. This method just saves you having to download it twice. You can also borrow the disc and install and then return since you bought the game digitally. I have about 10 friends using Xbox. So we just share the downloads and then we copy from each other

I still don’t understand why people are so quick to slam the XB1.

Look, best value for your money? XB1. Simple. No matter what way you look at it. Best gaming experience in naija? PS4 and that’s because it’s more popular here.

But when you’ve played on both consoles, you’ll see they each have their advantages. I just finished final fantasy 16 on ps4 and it was amazing. God of war too was a blast. Still here are the reasons why I think the Xbox 1 is a better buy.

1. It’s cheaper. Simple and short. 50k and you’ll get fairly used with pad

2. The controller is super durable. Mine is 4 years old and stilll kicking although the analog don chop (it’s easy to replace).

3. Games are cheaper. This is relative. I’ll give you an example, my friend and I are fifa die hards so you know 19 is a must buy. He paid 30k for the disc and I paid 19k for the online key. The downside was that I had to download it with data but I just paid someone 1k to copy it to my console. 10k saved.
It gets cheaper, $10 for game pass gives me up to a 100 games to play. Including awesome titles like the metro series, the division, fallout 4 gears of war, metal gear v, halo series, state of decay, wolfenstien, doom, tombraider and more games added every month. You can renew and cancel anytime. I don’t have old discs that I can’t swap anywhere because I never bought them.

It gets even cheaper, for $5 you can get ea access and play fifa 18 and even get to try 19 for 10hrs. You also get access to the battlefield series including last years battlefield 1. You get dragon age inquisition and titanfall 1 and 2. Star Wars battlefront, even the awesome need for speed series. Look you can’t get bored with an Xbox one. And when the family comes you just open the media center and stream movies. Play game related songs from Spotify while you game and all that.

4. Apart from the exclusives which is a big advantage for ps4, the other games can be bought as well, amazon ships games to Nigeria within one week, Jumia also sells cheap Xbox one discs so if the game you want isn’t in the $15 subscriptions you can simply get your disc.

I have been playing for almost a year (used to be a pc gamer) and the only game I have bought is fifa. The others are on subscription and damn I have more games than I can play.

It’s up to you bro but don’t let popular opinion blind you. The Xbox one is badass. And with time you’ll find people that use it too and you’ll have a community in no time.

Balancing love and work lol. Me I don't only balance love and work. I balance fatherhood. My wife was just looking at me the day I spent 150,000 + 20k to buy PS4 and PES 2017 on that day. December 2016. She was just looking at me and couldn't understand anything. I went to pick her from work. And I told her I needed to stop by Konga.com to pickup an important item I ordered for. She was tired and needed to be home Asap. And when I came back to the car, behold a box of video game. My wife had this strange smile on her face like... Dude what are you kidding me? Then she just decided to free the matter. We went home I rushed and fixed it up without even reading the manual. Its only the HDMI cable that gave me tough time to put in due to impatience. When I was playing it, my wife knew what it was and she even told me about PlayStation 2 that her brothers used to play. I told her that her brothers are so out of date. She changed it to PS3, then PS4. I told her babe calm down it must be ps2. Now days she joins me when I play interesting games like uncharted 4, God of war 4. Battlefield etc. She enjoys it with me. My kids are lucky daddy love games too. So they are guaranteed future gaming upgrades.

Man you are lucky. The fiancé says she doesn’t mind but complains that I spend too much time on it. Thing is I run my own company and in between projects I usually have days to spare. Aunty would rather I watch movies and read books instead of gaming. Usually it doesn’t bother me but sometimes the babe can para for days. I’m an Xbox one fanboy and I look forward to being a father. I just pray to never have to sacrifice this part of me because of that.

You can’t jailbreak iOS 11.4 as of today. Any solution given to you won’t be a jailbreak. Maybe a few sideloaded apps. The current jailbreak supports up to iOS 11.3.1 and iOS 11.4 beta. Sorry man. I’ll advice that you play the waiting game like we all did at some point and stay on your current version until a jailbreak is released.
Gaming / Re: An Interview With Your Below-average Nigerian Gamer (saturday Night Rant) by seunpayne(m): 11:24pm On Sep 30, 2018
Oh I had to comment on this one. Most relatable is playing games at 8fps. Gaming with intel HD will teach you patience if nothing else. I recently made the switch to console gaming (Xbox One) and it’s been really beautiful but after almost 10 years of pc gaming it’s really difficult not to look at a laptop and wonder how far I can push it.

So yeah I’ve played everything. If it came out, I have played it. Now that we can afford a really beefed up rig, life is forcing somebody to be responsible...

Please let the interview continue. Infact the next set of questions should be how you balance love and work with gaming cuz that is what I’m juggling now.

Gaming / Re: Xbox Or Playstation? by seunpayne(m): 9:58am On May 05, 2018
All I can say is wow. That you guys would trade insults this heavily because of two consoles? You are gamers for heavens sake. When I want to play ps 4 exclusive games I borrow my friends console and I enjoy it. When I want to play Xbox one exclusives I play on mine. When I want to play strategy I move to my PC. It’s not about which is better really...it’s about which gives you the best experience. PS4 floored the Xbox one on release and still continues to maintain that lead but in the last 5 years Xbox has closed that gap seriously. Truth is the only advantage I’ll give the ps4 is it’s exclusive games which is a really big deal. Put that aside, and the Xbox one is a heavy contender too. Add the media apps, Microsoft integration with play anywhere, the Netflix-like subscriptions like Xbox game pass and ea access, it’s a lot cheaper to play more games on the Xbox one (if you have the data or someone to use the disc to do the initial install for you). Maybe the Xbox isn’t better but it’s not a big gap. Put the backward compatibility with Xbox 360 games and it’s even sweeter. PlayStation Now is a game changer but internet sucks here so it’s not readily adopted on a broad scale.

PC remains king but also the more expensive option. I’m a PC fan boy but please...in other parts of Nairaland let them bash themselves and rain insults in the most eloquent ways they can think of. We are gamers. We should be better. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but trading insults is just a tad too much for game wey all of us go still play?

On a serious note, iOS dey miles ahead of android in app or gaming aspect. Talking about development. Na the only thing wey I envy iPhone users for be that.

No even start. We go just derail this thread. Truth is they are both amazing but miles ahead is just an opinion not a fact. There isn’t much in terms of actual functionality that makes a difference. It’s all down to perception and preference. The two get advantage. No use say we never get update dey shade our OS. We will not take it grin

Adventure game

Man it’s still a long list. But I’ll advice you start with prototype (pc) and darksiders (pc). If you want something more tacky you can go for transformers. For first person, try modern warfare 1-3 or spec ops: The line. The truth is there are tons of games out there. I gave these ones because the can run on most modern PCs with their native integrated graphic cards. Have fun
