Reading through this post, I found it funny but it's filled with truth sha. Who high end smart phones don Epp? I am okay with my Tecno phone, Samsung and Apple can make whatever!!! Ain't spending over 100k on any device. ***Commenting from my Tecno Camon C8***

Lol... I'm of the "to each his own" faction, I think you can spend any amount you want but changing phones every year is pointless now as the differed are so small... Look at s6 and s7 or iPhone 6 and 6s. Little changed. Why spend 170 last year and spend another 200 this year just because they changed the camera by 0.1 focal lens or added 3D Touch?

Two things became obvious at the end of March 2016. One: Android is still a learner when it comes to gaming and two: smartphones have become boring.

Sure, the iPhone SE was a pleasant (MTN Style) attempt at diversifying Apple's line up, the Galaxy S7 can fall in a bucket of water, the G5 has an accessory slot, the HTC 10 is the purest form of android and even our own Boom J8 is the pinnacle of sound. But that's genuinely all there is to each of them. These devices have not redefined the way we use our phones, nor have they blown anybody away with unbelievable speeds, or wowed PHCN with extraordinary battery life. So who e epp?

Each of these new phones is merely a marginal improvement over the previous model. And they're all actually remarkably similar in some ways. The Android phones all feature the exact same processor (The J8 stacks up with the likes of Hot 3). They're all using fast charge batteries that get you up to 50% battery life in a matter of minutes. They all have 1440p displays (Sadly the J8 and Hot 3 are still touting meager 720p displays) that are pretty damn amazing. They all have slabs of glass and metal that will fall from Transcorp and survive and still be slick enough to be a fashion accessory for bae.

The only differences between them are in the minute details. This one dey swim, or that wan dey come with free data. This one get HiOs while the other one na TouchWiz. The few phones that still excite people are the "mumu" ones (I dey look iPhone now).

Phone designs have reached the ceiling. The wild advances we've seem for the last 10 years are winding off. They're fast enough to play 1080p video without breaking (something that wasn't even possible in 2014) and the camera's can snap an edo witch in the night. Even the screens have improved. In fact only developing markets like ours still get super budget phones with below par displays.

The challenge is no longer finding a good phone-it's finding a bad one. And that isn't a bad thing (unfortunately for all out tech bloggers). Stability in design and marginal improvements in speed and battery life means you don't have to upgrade your phone as often. Which is great now that most phones don dey chop the same money as house rent. People ain't buying like they used to. Apple and Samsung have reported downslide in their sales growth in the last two quarters...is the magic fading already?

So today I can walk into the market and buy an infinix or Tecno device and still get everything including the newly launched Ntel 4G service and someone using an S7 would look at his bank statement and ask: This 2016 model sef...who e epp?

I think these prices are fair and very competitive. If you have spent the last few months paying for every megabyte you use then you should feel the same. Imagine the freedom associated with an unlimited data plan? Netflix becomes sensible right? The cap is for peak periods only so even torrent users can just wait till later in the night. I'll pay 10k for unlimited data alone and then they wanna throw in 300 call minutes? HYFR.

Let's be honest, NONE of the remaining companies can compete with this. They will be left with casual data users and people who don't want to change their lines. Even Spectranet that has become as slow as ever is offering 30GB for 7500.

Don't say it's expensive abeg...this is dirt cheap for those who know what it is worth...don't worry...all of us go get money...

At peak periods each day, any customer who has used a total volume of 3GB will be slowed down to 512bps.

Lol...it's a phone. When you buy airtime of N500 do you think to yourself "this credit must allow me call Obama" all because it's your hard earned money? We get it...the phone is expensive. For now. A day will come when getting and iPhone will have the same effect as on your account as the N500 airtime has now. Make money first before thinking about how you will spend it because you go get money for this life. Don't tie yourself to the mediocre because you can't afford it today.

I recently saw a movie where the protagonist was given one week to prove his undying love for the love of his life. Some of the things he tried were drop dead romantic and some where...well...not that much. I started thinking, what would it be like if a guy in Nigeria was faced with this challenge?

Sorry sha, I'm not about to give you seven romantic ideas to prove undying love but I can give you 3 romantic ideas that have the opposite effect.

This is no form of generalization. I know not everyone is the same so this isn't valid for every woman you might meet but at least you would know enough not to try them anyhow.

1. FLOWERS: I still don't even get this one but there is that smile that comes to the face of a woman when a guy shows up at her door with a bouquet of flowers or even a single rose...at least in the movies anyway. Now I'm not really sure why but it doesn't seem to elicit the same reaction over here. Maybe it's the wrong type of red rose. Maybe we don't have the right glands to find it appealing or maybe you simply would be considered thrifty...The point is, over here flowers are just what they are: flowers. They belong in a garden and that's where she wants to see them; not in your hands.

2. ROSE PETALS, RED SHEETS, SCENTED CANDLES: This one should have been romantic but thanks to nollywood you can kiss it goodbye. Imagine getting to a girl's house and finding an open door with rose petals on the floor leading to a semi dark area just around the corner. Once in, the first thing you notice is her lying down on a bed with red sheets surrounded by scented candles...well?
I asked a few people and one word kept coming up and I think you have the word in your head by now: RITUALS. Some guys might argue that they won't be bothered and maybe they won't but I just think if you don't want her running back and screaming "he wants to use me for blood money", I suggest you put on your freaking generator and leave the candles in their box.

3. THE NIGHT DRIVE:
So those Americans down south grab a truck full of Beer, drive to the country side and park in a nice remote spot with a good view of either the moon or the town...sometimes both and they have a good time. Oya wake up. Try that rubbish here and you will be lucky not to fall into police hands. If that wasn't deterrent enough, which kind mumu country side wey get remote spot no go be armed robber hideout? There might be a few exceptions but the general rule...especially with the current security challenges we face is not to be in funny places in the day talk more of in the night. Besides if the girl has any sense at all...she no go gree follow you.

Have you tried a soft reset? Press the power button and the home button together for about 10 seconds to force a reboot. If you still have this problem you might have to do a restore. Make sure you back up your phone on iTunes before you proceed and also use a third party app to back up your iPhone apps because iOS 9 doesn't back up user apps. Unless you have the data to redone load all your apps again anyway.

If the restore doesn't work you might have a faulty hardware.

And all those are things I already enjoy with JB. The only thing that made me enter iOS 9 was Apple Music. Heaven knows my phone shall not see 9.3 until it's JB is available. What is life without JB if not a pot of beans.

I don't think the hike in prices is an actual problem. I'm more interested in the title of the topic which is actually hitting the nail. Its fine to push prices up to balance out in business. What makes no sense is the fact that ALL OUR BUSINESS seem to be affected. No one is actually making any plan to seize the market. I will give three examples.

Food, Clothing and Transportation: We import some food and we produce some at home. I would have expected the indigenous producers to take advantage of the rise in prices to flood the market with their wares and maintain a lower price point. Granted they have to import the machine used to bla bla bla but being honest which company just started in the last two months? Chances are they already imported all they needed before the price hike. Its plain blindness to still be competing at this level. if a foreign product cost N100 after the hike and an indigenous product cost N100 as well (even though it might cost less to produce) most people will go for the foreign. It is more popular after all. A prudent business man will penetrate the market by either dropping his prices by a margin or at least maintaining the previous price point. Same goes for clothes. Now most car dealership bought the cars on display at least 6 months ago. Now if I have 100 cars and I plan on making N200k off each. On average I sell at least 5 cars every quarter my expected profit is N1 million. Now if I drop my prices by 100k or even maintain them while everyone else shoots to a N300k profit margin because of dollars (that hasn't actually affected them) then I automatically become cheaper and will sell more in a short time. Regain my initial investment and make more money in a shorter time. Now someone will see this as a loss in the long run but it doesn't have to be the case. Making N100k off every car and selling 10 cars every quarter is a much better deal than the previous as you will get more customers because you are cheaper. Its common sense really.

Great to meet someone that plays xcom. It always struck me as strange that nobody talked about xcom ever. The fact that you could play the same game on both PC and mobile devices was an awesome feature as well.

The stupid relay was going to blow in the next two turns. Bimpe was lying in a puddle of her own blood with a stupid notification reminding me that she was going to bleed out in one turn. Mustapha was on overwatch and was going to pick off that advent trooper if he tried any funny business. That left me to decide what my concealed ranger would do. Save Bimpe or hack the relay.

Yeah thats the kind of tense situations you get with firaxis’s new XCOM 2. If you haven’t played the first game and its expansion (Xcom: Enemy Unknown and Xcom: Enemy within) you should totally go for them. They are 9/10 or 10/10 depending on whether you are a sadist or easily impressed.

It is easily the best turn-based tactics game on the planet and 30 minutes into the game anyone can see why.

Every decision counts. Every death hurts and every wounded unit you manage to bring home after a successful mission makes you pat yourself on the back. It is a very frustrating game and there will be times you want to just punch your screen and scream “how is that even possible” but when you are dealing with an alien invasion and leading a small, ill-equipped and scattered resistance what kind of emotion where you expecting to feel?

Quite simply the game is brilliant. It looks gorgeous, it plays very well, and it is one hell of a challenge. If you liked X COM the original, then you simply have to buy this. They have improved practically everything about the original. This feels more much more dynamic. Gone are the days of satellite spamming your way to victory. This game provides meaningful choices throughout so that you really dont know which way you want to go. And i think that many different paths to victory will be possible. I think this is probably the best looking turn based game we have ever seen. Kudos to Firaxis on a job well done. A sure contender for game of the year. The only thing that slightly spoils it are a few buggy camera angles and some dodgy hang times, but you can forgive it that as they dont spoil the fun. And it is in infinitely better shape than most games when released. But the real gem of this is the mods. Oh my goodness what a year we have in store.

Suffice it to say the titles are catchy and the fact that you get access to fast paced multiplayer options these titles have to offer without paying for the full game is...well...DA BOMB.

I think the best part of this deal is that you can cancel anytime. So you can subscribe in march and play that game you've been eyeing and skip april and then pop back in in may. You also get a 10% discount off any origin title you buy (i'm looking at you Battlefront).

Bringing this home though, will you pay N800 per month to play games from the vault?

NB: I should add that downloading the games might not be such a big deal. Grab a pirated version of the game from your local bootleg store and then instead of cracking it, just verify and activate it as a legitimate copy and save your data. (there might be some updates you have to download though) I do not support or encourage piracy in anyway but I have kat.cr as most visited site in my browing history

Apple has full and complete control over apps published on Apple App Store I.e since apple develope iOS to run on less powerful devices apple also force developer's to optimize their apps to run flawlessly on those devices as well unlike Google that has minimal or less control over apps published on Google play store.... So anybody can publish un-optimized junk app to Google play store making app to run very slow on Android.....
The Google device in the video (though I didn't watch it) was able to run fast enough because of it high CPU, if you should run those app on those outdated CPU, you will see how sluggish the app will run.... So it's actually not Android OS the causes the sluggish running of app on Android device but the developer who fail to optimize their apps make Android device to use more resources to run an app.

I believe what you just said can be interpreted as "well yeah the specs are true as long as you don't use the phone to run apps created by lazy developers who for some reason are hardworking when designing the same apps on the iOS platform. Thank you for that. Nothing is more annoying than hearing someone brag about gigabytes of pirated games. A true gamer knows that to continue playing the makers must make money. Yeah you have played syndicate but did you manage to play online? FIFA 16 comes alive in ultimate team, doesn't it bother you that you'll never experience that? Just cause 3...I shudder at the thought...such an awesome game...but you wouldn't know since it hasn't been cracked yet. PC is better because it is more expensive. At a price range however...consoles will win every time. Btw I am a PC gamer. Currently playing MGS: Phantom pain. And before you say you have downloaded it...think about the fact that you can't play FOB missions.

This is actually an advantage sef. Like I said earlier if you actually bought your games you would know that consoles are cheaper. PC games cost almost exactly the same as their console counterparts. Here in Nigeria though you hardly see a PC game DVD so you have to pay for the game and then the data to download it. Console users just buy a dvd and pop it in. A digital download is not transferable. I can always swap DVDs with a friend or an enemy. FIFA 15 that I bought is still my own. I can't even give my little brother because it is tied to my origin account. Same thing for FM 15. The game dvd is an advantage not a disadvantage o.

Everyone should know by now that despite the advantage PCs have, the high cost makes it almost pointless when you can get a console for much cheaper. Cost aside, the PC will always floor consoles. Also...there exists on genre that consoles don't have. 4x games.

Relax . Nobody dey follow you quarrel. You would be surprised to find out that you're the only person who thinks there is an obvious difference between PC and Laptop . You also seem to think there aren't mad gaming laptops out there that easily rival their desktop compatriots. I'm curious however as to that decent i5 you can get for N150k. Note the operative word in this context is "decent" so ULV chips don't count.
