Can this new zoom CPE from spectranet be unlocked to work with Ntel? Please where can I get it unlocked? I’m in Abuja. |
This game is one of my best this year. Just finished the “war of the chosen” DLC. Really amazing. Can’t wait for the long war 2 mod to be released for it. It’s a shame not many people this side of the continent play this game. It’s easily one of the best RTS games of all time |
DaimlerBen:You can’t stress this enough. We learn everyday. This is something people need to be alerted to. |
mayor2013:Yes I get that this is the best move. My fear now is getting another that is defective or a mechanic that isn’t competent. Abuja is a tough place |
Please o...I need to fix mine too all advice would be appreciated https://www.nairaland.com/4141290/need-change-gearbox#61811689 |
Following oga stpat1’s experience, https://www.nairaland.com/3909822/need-fix-gear-box/3 I decided to arm myself with all the information I can before I embark on this journey. Ashely has been with me for about a year. She is a 2002 Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec SW. She has been amazing but in March I traveled to Jos and on my way back I lost a tire that damaged the rim at the rear. The guys who did wheel balancing for me tightened that tire with a vengeance and so I couldn’t get it off to change. Ended up having to tow the vehicle. Couldn’t leave it in the middle of nowhere and couldn’t stay with it cuz the herdsmen where.... Anyway, for those of you who don’t know just like me, never tow a FWD on its front tires. That was the beginning of Ashely’s problems. We got the tire off and put in the spare but when I got to Abuja I discovered my car could no longer engage the reverse gear. The first repair was the valve body. Changing that did nothing. The mechanic even did that for free. Next came the fixing of the reverse. I paid 40k for that. The reverse worked but it always engaged violently. A jerk that meant I couldn’t use it in tight places. I managed that for a few weeks until it started losing power. Now it engages reverse but there is no power. On a flat surface, revving to almost 6000rpm it crawls back. The rest of the gearbox is fine. I’ve been driving it everyday since March. Just that I don’t get into places I can’t turn or I use hilly places to initiate a rollback. Now I need to know, can I attempt another repair or should I change it? Where can I do either with guaranteed service? What do I need to know before doing this? I live in Abuja by the way. Th car was scanned and no issues were found but I’m open to scanning again. I need my baby fixed. S In other news, shey me and Ashely can do Uber ba? Dem go gree? Cc Gazzuzz mayor2013 |
dadaadec:I also pray I don't have to change it. Just fix. Can I get his contact? Even if he isn't in abuja. He might be able to give professional advice |
dadaadec:Abeg what's your location? A friend told me it's the selector that has an issue but that's not what google told me. I'm in abuja and I would appreciate any help I can get. |
Good morning. Please, while traveling yesterday, my tire burst. Couldn't lose one of the nuts so we couldn't change the tire. Had to tow it to the next town. After towing and fixing the tire, I realized the reverse gear wasn't engaging. I'm not sure what is causing this but I can't even drive it again because I can't reverse. After spending some time on google, I'm seeing that towing the car on the front wheels could damage the gearbox. It's all speculative though so I still need an expert to physically inspect it and help fix it. It's a Ford Focus 2002 automatic Had to add this. I'm in abuja. |
I want to rant as usual but that’s gonna be hard to do today because its quite expensive. It costs exactly N1. I had a very interesting chat with a very interesting person yesterday and the things we discussed left my mind buzzing. He started his story with a question and I’m going to ask you that question as well. What is the value of N1 to you? Shade told me how much she loved shopping at Shoprite. “It’s an amazing experience.” She said. What she didn’t like though was the way the attendants bullied shoppers into parting with their change. I laughed and asked why she couldn’t just let it go. “Because it’s my money Seun” was her reply. She went on to explain. When you buy groceries worth N4999, it makes sense that you wouldn’t wait to collect the change. You would pay N5000 and walk away without feeling like you lost a thing. When you do that twenty times, you would have left N20 to the seller without a care in the world. It’s just N20 though and it couldn’t make a difference. Right? Well what is the difference between N1000 and N980? Have you ever taken a bike ride to a place and struggled to make change because all you had were N1000 notes? Then the rider asks you if you have N20 so he can give you N50 since your change is N30. Bet you wish you had your N20 now right? Shade had change after she paid for her groceries. Her change was N70. The attendant gave her N50 and moved on to the next customer. She moved to the side and waited. “Madam, I don answer you na.” The attendant said a bit peevishly. Shade went on to cause a scene and didn’t leave until she collected her N20. Na wa for her abi? Andy bought fuel at a filling station one time. He drove in and asked the attendant to give him N4000 worth of fuel. The attendant sold him N4002 worth of fuel. Andy paid N4000 and proceeded to drive off but the attendant blocked him. “Oga your money never complete.” the attendant said. “I asked you to sell N4000 worth of fuel to me. You sold more than that. Where do you want me to bring the N2 from?” Andy asked. The attendant stubbornly refused and refused to let Andy drive away. Finally, Andy, after rummaging through his car, paid the attendant N5. The attendant then left the front of his car and went back to his pump. he thought the matter was over. He was wrong. Andy reversed his car and blocked the pump. No other car could buy fuel. A confused attendant came around and approached the car. “Oga wetin happen again?” The attendant asked. “I am waiting for my N3” Andy replied. Andy went on to cause a scene and didn’t leave until he collected his N5 back. Na wa for him abi? It would surprise you to know that Andy and Shade are married. Andy is Financial Manager at a reputable firm in Abuja and makes far more than you can imagine so please don’t assume this is because he is poor. Nor is he stingy as he is a very generous entrepreneur. So why would someone with millions in his account be so concerned about N3? Why would a woman married to a man like that be concerned about N20? The answer was in his house. He showed me a jar that was crammed full of small bills. N5s, N10s, N20s and N50s. Every change that made it home with him everyday went into that jar. When he emptied it and we counted it, it was more than N1000. That’s how much he would have lost walking away from change that was rightfully his. Money he worked for. Ever wonder why attendants force you to leave your change? Because they understand the real value of N1. I’m not saying you shouldn’t be generous. I’m saying that when you are, you should know the true value of what you’re giving away. So whats the real value of N1? Imagine if I gave you N1 and it doubled every day. How much do you think you would have at the end of the month? After a week you would have N128 which isn’t really enough to buy you a decent meal. But by the end of the second week you would have N16,385. Almost a corpers alawai already. All from this N1. By the end of the third week you would have N2,097,152. Interesting isn’t it. All from N1. By the end of the fourth week of doubling, you would have…carry your calculator and break your own heart. That’s N1. If you were privileged to see the total amount of change you walked away from last year simply because you thought it wasn’t worth much, you would most definitely be shocked. We are in a recession people. The very first step to financial freedom isn’t multiple sources of income. It’s in better spending habits. I just discovered that I spent about N150,000 eating out last year. This figure doesn’t include the amount I spent hanging out with friends or the food I ate at home. Before you judge me, understand that this figure was calculated from spending an average of N300 every working day. You might have spent far more than I have right? This isn’t much of a rant. Its an awareness campaign. Start saving today. Not by dumping a large chunk of your salary in the bank but by cutting down on unnecessary costs. Split bills when you go out with your friends. Get married and stay faithful and leave prostitutes alone. Get a roommate and split the rent. Carpool to work instead driving four cars from the same area to the same office. Contribute money to cook instead of always eating out. Stop stressing yourself trying to live a life no one gives a damn about. If you die today the world wont pause for a day. So now I ask you; What is N1 really worth to you? Copied from http://seunpayne.com/real-value-n1/

Check Jumia. BM-700 is a nice one. Good pre amp and echo control. Less than 15k. There are better models if you're willing to part with more cash. But since you're looking for a USB mic, I assume you don't want to spend money on buying a sound card so this is as good as it gets when shopping on a budget. |

It seems everywhere I go, somebody wants to contradict my parenting. When passers-by see my two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Ally, trip and fall they go to help her up while I'm trying to teach her to pull herself up on her own. Her friends' parents just assume I'm okay with her eating indomie. The HeteroAjayi Enforcers keep asking her if she has a boyfriend. And worst of all, they ruin our special time: robbing people inside the ABC night bus together. "Isn't it late for such a little girl to be out?" they ask. Wow. Just wow. They think I don't monitor my daughter's sleep just because she is out at night? Ally and I are out at 2 AM because daytime robberies can go bad really quick (do you have any idea just how many checkpoints there are now?). So you see, I'm doing what's best for her here. "Is it safe for a little girl to hold such a big gun?" Yes, guns can be dangerous, but I am not going to shield my daughter from all the dangers of this world. Rather than pretend life is just rainbows and ice cream, I have given her a shotgun. You think I don't care about her safety? I made it smaller for her by sawing off the barrel. And it's pretty rich that you think I'm unsafe when you're the one with a shotgun pointed at your knees. "Please, here is my phone and my wallet! Just go! I have a family!" Abeg o...Is that supposed to imply that I don't have a family? That just because I choose to incorporate my daughter into my life rather than leave her at home with a sitter (that will eat all the food in the house), somehow your family is better than mine? Armed robbery is the only way Ally and I feel truly alive and we will ride this horse straight to wherever this takes us. But some people see us having a good time together and they just don't understand. Would you believe someone actually called the police? The police! (as if they would ever get to the scene in time). Just because my daughter was unsupervised for a few seconds while I was threatening the driver. Go Helicopter your children. Ally and I are doing just fine. Also, yes, a toddler in a ski mask holding a sawed-off shotgun is adorable, but don't record my daughter without my permission (all these people and their smartphones sef...). It is an invasion of her privacy and denial of her agency (yeah we still have laws in Nigeria). She is not an object of your amusement; she is a trained outlaw who will never be taken alive. Yes, yes: I know people mean well, We all want children to grow up happy and healthy, but give the benefit of the doubt to us parents that we just might know what's best for our own kids. Please respect my decision and let me raise my own child. Now, hurry up and pick up your dignity from the floor because the water in her toy gun is beginning to leak out. First of all, in case you didn't figure it out...this is a joke. Second, we really need to learn to mind our business in this country. Let people raise their kids. Don't help them. Face your own and if you don't have then what makes you think you know any better? Keep your opinions to yourself. So you weaned your baby when he was seven months old and you judge your colleague because her one-year old is still sucking? Because your child is great at maths, every other kid becomes dumb and needs extra tutorials? If God blessed you and you can afford to send a driver to pick your own kid doesn't make other parents who cant afford to, callous... We really need to stop please....Good morning |

Haven't we all flogged this dead horse enough already? Consoles are better. We agree. PC is only for rich people we agree. But is that really the point? After a hard day at work, when you get home after branching Mallam shop to buy a cool drink and meeting light at home, does it matter what device you power on? Xbox vs PS, PC vs Console. What matters is what works for you. I can't use a console because what matters to me isn't there. I've been waiting for someone to bring this up but no one has. Football manager, civilization, Xcom, total war...if these names don't ring a bell and you are a pc gamer then you are punishing your self. Every device has its strengths. Play to it. I'm glad the op switched to a console. I'm glad some of you can afford a gaming rig( those aren't cheap). I'm glad we are all gaming. Too many people in our generation placing value on the wrong things though. The experience counts and is what is important. I played Fifa on ps4 and it felt different from what I was used to. The emotion and complains (my pad no dey work well) was still there however. The experience is the koko. Don't play down any device. Even Nintendo wii has its niche. I'm a PC fanboy btw GTX960 (4GB) |
