misssclassy:If I "truly love" her, why aren't we married? 1 million dollars isn't "just" money. |
To put this in a clearer perspective, if you earn 1,000,000 naira monthly, 1 million US dollars is your salary for the next 16 years and 6 months! I should give it up because of a girl? |
Xiadnat:I know what 200,000,000 million naira can do in my life. What can a girlfriend do for me? |
1 million dollars is approximately 200,000,000 million naira. 4ck love. |

You haven't allowed enough time to pass after the last relationship. You are just in a hurry to find a girl to call your own. You're in a hurry to no where. Life doesn't revolve around ladies. You don't even consciously fall in love. Love at first sight is actually attraction. To fall in love, non superficial characters of the lady will come into place. It also isn't all about you. Connection has to be mutual for anything meaningful to come out of it. Get busy. Improve your appearance, improve your business, relocate to another part of town, meet new people. If you keep doing the same things, it amounts to futility to expect different results. |

vickylois:Nothing good comes easy. . . Act like nothing happened, and move on. That will make you stronger. You haven't even started meeting boys. There are more in the future. Learn to let people go. |
The issue of trust is a weighty and long one. Trust can mean a lot of different things. It's very naïve of anyone to think that access to your partner's phone, or non access to it denotes trust, or lack of it. For starters, if you trust your partner like you claim you do, why would you want to check their phones? Checking their phones already confirms the obvious fact that you do not trust them. A cheat is a cheat. If I want to cheat on you, I can give you my phones to hold, and I'll still be cheating on you! The mindset that having access to your partner's phone checkmates their cheating is simplistic. It leaves you more vulnerable to be cheated on. If I am a cheat and I notice how frequent you check my phone, I'll change my modus operandi. Now, you'll still be oblivious to my change in mode of operation and be thinking how trustworthy I am etc, until you find me cheating thru another method. . . That leaves you more devastated because I have proved you to be very clueless, and nothing hurts more than being cheated on, and being made to look like a fool while being cheated on. There are several other ways to gain the trust of someone. You have to pass a series of tests and not just allowing access to your phone. In fact, to me, allowing me access to your phone doesn't mean that I trust you. Not that I'll want to have anything to do with your phone, by the way. A phone is a private property. No matter how close you are to a human, you need your private time. A phone is that private. It shouldn't be touched, especially on the basis of using it as a template of trust. When you trust someone wholeheartedly, you have trusted them with everything, including your life. That also silently means that YOU DO NOT NEED TO CHECK THEIR PHONES PERIODICALLY! If you do not trust someone, or you have reasons to doubt their trust, never ever lie to them that you trust them. . . In the two examples the OP gave, those are prime examples of people who failed to see trust beyond their partners allowing them access to their phones. If you have the innate ability of studying the body language of another human, simple things like looking into their eyes while they talk can reveal a lot to you, but that's story for another day. Phones are private and should not be accessed without permission. There are better and more effective ways to detect someone who is betraying your trust without even touching their phones. Exploring those avenues will put you on a higher pedestal than the naïve and simplistic method of going thru a phone to detect cheating and what not. |

donlegend:There you go. . . The average conventional Nigerian. . . Always quick to bring in God in simple matters of common sense. You can't be a coward to let go what you desire? Now, where is that object of your desire? Is it a matter of cowardice or being a realist? Stop calling God. He's a giver of money as at when due. Did you think rushing into a relationship because you didn't want to lose your desire will make God rush and give you money? Nigerians! Always thinking after the main event. This isn't about being rich or poor. This is about common sense. Can you take care of yourself and that girl right now? If God says you'll marry in 2020, who are you to try and force it in 2015? I cannot judge you. I'm only applying the little sense God gave me. Go on, keep on crying then. When this girl leaves you, jump to another girl instantly and God will give you money in 2 days to marry her. . . So impatient and headstrong. |
I blame you. Why go into a serious relationship when you aren't ready? Also, you should have known that on the mind of every girl serving is marriage after service, and you have promised and assured her that you'll get a job and blah blah business would be alright. She's a woman, and her clock is ticking. You can't blame her for wanting to settle down soon. Moreover, she's the only daughter. There's no way her mother hasn't been preaching marriage to her. Now, there is also no way she'll present you to her parents as a fiance, because, let's face the facts here - you can't even properly take care of yourself, so how do you want to take care of her? Look, she's fed up. Once a woman is fed up, you can't do anything to change her mind. It'll also shock you to know that she has someone else. . . Let her go. And then, face your hustle. In the next few years, things will be ok for you, then you can find another girl to settle down with. Do not expect this girl to keep waiting for you. That is not realistic. She is under a lot of pressure and you cannot currently help the situation. Besides, what's the assurance that you won't leave her in the few years coming? Let's face it, a lot of guys leave those girls who were there for them during their trial some years, so what's the guarantee that yours would be different? Sometimes, we meet the right people at the wrong time. I only blame you for starting what you couldn't finish. You don't plan and build your future on "maybe" and "if I". You plan and build with what's on ground. You had nothing on ground before taking the relationship serious. Now you're hurting. Let her go. That's the only way out right now. |
realdee44:What if her hair was covered before? |
Will I kill myself? No. Will I cry? No. Won't even give her the satisfaction of seeing me feel pained. |
daimsy:Erm? |
firestar:Red wine. |
What's wrong with the picture? |
Check yourself. If you aren't attracted to ladies, why aren't ladies attracted to you, since you are the neatest, most respectful God fearing man on earth, who also isn't flashy? Again, check yourself. |
Jollyjoy:It's not easier said, because I've been doing it. |
realdee44:What if she didn't go out dressed like that? What if she just escaped from a rapist who pulled her trousers out already before she fought him off and ran into the rain? |
Macmilla:I don't watch telemundo. So what point are you trying to make? You cheat on a woman and she confronts you about it, do you call that nagging? Only a mad woman will wake up and start accusing you of something you did not do, or something you haven't given her a reason to think you have done, or are doing. |
This simply means that 70% of people marry for the wrong reasons. Marriage is for people who are truly in love. The 30% successful marriages are between those who know the essence of marriage, who value marriage, who respect their marriage bed and marital vows. . . People who are ready to lay down their life for the other person. People who marry for companionship. People who want to raise a family together in love. People who cannot do without each other. People who want to wake up every morning to stare into the eyes of the one they love. People who. Realize that money, beauty, sexiness etc are all superficial. People who realize that the sexy girl of today will look like her grandma tomorrow. The other 70% all marry for the wrong reasons. - she's sexy - one day, sexiness ends. Marriage fails. - nice boobs - boobs bow to gravity, and he finds another girl with better boobs. Marriage fails. - nice shape - there's always a lady with a better shape out there. He sleeps with her, and the next one. Marriage fails. - lovely round yansh - better yanshes out there. Same as above. - nice smile - better smile out there. Same as above. - money - money finishes, or they meet someone richer. Even complain that they have all the money, but "love" don finish. Marriage fails. Love doesn't fail. - rich family - same as above. - fame - fame ends, money ends, same as above. - money - sigh - sex - legal sex. After the euphoria dies down, marriage fails. - children - after they've gotten the kids they want, they'll look outside for sexier women. Marriage fails - pity - he helped me. This was never for love. - compensation - same as above - money - sighs - lust - sighs I'm even surprised we don't have up to 85% of marriages failing. People who marry for the wrong reasons will fail. There's no magic to prevent it. Marriage isn't a vice. We just have a majority of people jumping into it to feel among. They think it's all about proposing on tv, youtube, instagram or proposing with davido singing while the girl rolls on the floor or goes to hide. They think it's all about the "awwwwwwww" from total strangers on social media. I don't have an iota of pity for such people. They should shut up and stop complaining. . . Better still, ask the other 30% how they keep their marriages strong. The singular fact that 30% succeed is enough for everyone to strive to be among the 30%. . . Let the other 70% continue in their foolishness and continually look for someone or something, to lay their failures on. If you fail to plan, you've planned to fail. . . Simples! |
Macmilla:You answer truthfully. If you're being truthful, a woman knows. Women detect truth and lies faster and better than men. A woman can be sleeping with 10 men behind your back, and you wouldn't find out. But sleep with one girl, and she knows. If a wife is accusing you of what you didn't do, tell her the truth! If you are being evasive instead of being truthful, how would she believe you? If you truly sleep around, you're done for, cos an angry woman can do anything. |
piicity:Look, a relationship should be 50:50. If what you are putting in isn't what you are getting, end it and look for another girl. Life is too short for nonsense. |

? In the first place no one in her right sence should go out dressed like that. If you see. Someone dressed that way you, then the person must be mad.
