While a mother should be given her due respect, allowing her to make all your life decisions as a "man", especially in matters of choosing a life partner is wholly wrong. A lot of guys do not see it that way. When a mother meddles in her son's affairs and becomes too controlling, it has an adverse effect on his relationship with his wife, or a girl he's in a serious relationship with. A girl of marriageable age would like to know and be assured that the man she is planning to get into a serious relationship with, or get married to, is capable of making his own decisions, without always resorting to his mother.[/color] 1 Like |

You do not know the circumstances that ensured she is still single at that age. At 35 years of age, you cannot say to me, that a lady has never received suitors who asked her hand in marriage. She turned them down, either because she felt she wasn't ready, or he wasn't up to her "standard" or something. The bottom line is that she decided to turn them down.
