SportsLadipo Wants Keshi To Shun Offers Abroad by seydam21(op): 9:19am On Jul 03, 2014
President of the Nigeria Football Supporters club, Rafiu
Ladipo has pleaded with Super Eagle chief coach,
Stephen Keshi to shun the several offers coming his
way and remain with Nigeria. In a chat with 2muchsports.com, Ladipo stated that he
was aware of the fact that Keshi is now a hot cake
sought after by several countries, but he pleaded with
him to put the interest of the Nigeria above all the
offers. He also pleaded with him to find a way of working
amicably with his employers so as not to avoid th
several disagreement they always have. “I am only appealing to Keshi to shun all those offers
coming his way and remain with the Super Eagles. He
has shown that he is a good coach and everybody is
looking for him. More so, he may desire an improved
status but some times everything is not money,”
Ladipo said. Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has stepped down from
his post after the country’s elimination from the
World Cup, FIFA said on Tuesday. The Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, has yet to
confirm his resignation, however, and Keshi was
evasive in answering a question on his future after
Monday’s 2-0 loss to France in their last-16 round
encounter in Brasilia. Fifa.com quoted a tweet from Keshi, although earlier
in the tournament Nigerian officials claimed the
manager had no social media presence. “Friends, it has been a good run and I have enjoyed
every moment. It’s been an honour coaching the
Super Eagles. It is however time to bow out,” the
tweet said. Asked what he planned to do after the World Cup,
after being linked to the national team job in South
Africa, Keshi told reporters on Monday: “I’m going
home to visit my wife and kids. I’ve not seen them
for a long time.” The 52-year old, nicknamed “Big Boss”, coached
the Super Eagles to last year’s African Nations Cup
crown. He had been in charge of the side since late
2011 after several previous stints as assistant. Keshi was the captain of Nigeria for their maiden
World Cup appearance in the United States in 1994 and
also worked as national coach of Togo and Mali in the
past.

SportsKeshi Offered N168m Two-year Deal by seydam21(op): 9:04am On Jul 03, 2014
The Eagle Online reliably gathered that the plan to offer Keshi an improved deal came amid
confusion over the status of his employment with the Nigeria Football Federation

Outgone Super Eagles’ boss, Stephen Keshi, has been offered N168 million for a new two-year deal to remain at his post.
The contract ups to N7 million Keshi’s monthly salary.
He was being paid, until the ouster of the Super Eagles from the World Cup and an end to his contract, a monthly salary of N5 million.
The loss in the Round of 16 match to the Les Blues of France marked the end of the contract.
The Eagle Online reliably gathered that the plan to offer Keshi an improved deal came amid confusion over the status of his employment with the Nigeria Football Federation.
The Big Boss, who is yet to append his signature to the new deal, was said to have complained about the clauses contained in the new contract papers.
It was also learnt that the Nigeria Football Federation has put in place plans to hire a foreign coach to be assisted by a local coach should Keshi reject the new offer.
On the contrary, the AFCON 2013 winning coach told The Eagle Online that he would insist that the football house provides him with an official accommodation and a car to function.
Keshi told The Eagle Online: “My contract effectively ended with the Super Eagles ouster from the World Cup.
“So, there is no reason resigning from the job.
“However, we are yet to agree a new contract.
“So I remain a free agent until otherwise.”

Nairaland GeneralWhich Is Higher In Nigeria - Birth Rate Or Death Rate? by seydam21(op): 6:54am On Jul 03, 2014
Birth Rate is high as a result of:

*Lack of family planning
*High Infant Mortality Rate
*Need for workers in agriculture
*Religious beliefs

Death Rate is high because of:

*High levels of disease
*Famine
*Lack of clean water and sanitation
*Lack of health care
*War
*Competition for food from predators such as rats

In 2005, Crude Birth Rates ranged from 8.33 per 1000 in Germany to 51.33 in Niger. The CBR in the United States in 2005 was 14.14 per 1000. Many African countries have very high Crude Birth Rates and women in those countries have a high Total Fertility Rate, meaning they give births to many children in their lifetime.

Which Is Higher In Nigeria By Now - Birth Rate Or Death Rate? Reason for your response?

EducationRe: Federal University Of Technology Akure(futa) 2014/2015 Admission Session by seydam21(m): 7:02am On Jul 02, 2014
Aidy97: The Federal
Government, in
consultation with the
Joint Admissions and
Matriculation Board, has
pegged the cutoff
marks for 2014
admissions into
universities at 180,
while polytechnics and
colleges of education
were put at 150,
respectively.
The cutoff points were
arrived at on Tuesday,
after the 5th Combined
Policy meeting on
admissions to tertiary
institutions, held at the
National Universities
Commission, Abuja.
The Supervising Minister
of Education, Nyesom
Wike, who declared the
meeting open, frowned
on the inability of most
tertiary institutions to
utilise their admission
quota.
Wike, however, said in
view of efforts to
boost access,
institutions which failed
to utilise their
admission quota for
2014 would be
sanctioned.
He reiterated the
Federal Government’s
commitment to the
development of ICT
training, which he said,
had already been
inculcated into the
standard curriculum at
the secondary school
level.
He said, “I have been
briefed that despite the
rising demand for higher
education vis-a-vis the
availability of a large
number of qualified
candidates, some
institutions did not fully
utilise the admissions
quota approved for
them by relevant
regulatory agencies in
2013.
“This disservice to the
Nigerian child is totally
unacceptable. In line
with efforts of the
Federal Government to
improve access, let me
urge you all to with
effect from today,
work assiduously to
ensure that all
admission spaces in
your institutions for the
current year are fully
utilised within the
approved time frame.”
The Registrar and Chief
Executive of JAMB, Prof.
Dibu Ojerinde, in his
presentation gave a
statistical run down of
candidates’ preference
for tertiary education.
He said after the
conduct of the 2014
Unified Tertiary
Matriculation
Examination, candidates
who applied for degree
awarding institutions
totalled 1,584,348,
representing 70 per
cent; National
Certificate in Education
applicants totalled
25,767 representing 1.6
per cent; National
Diploma, a paltry
22,072, representing 1.3
per cent while National
Innovation Diploma had
just 46, representing
0.003 per cent.
Ojerinde wondered why
Nigeria’s educational
system has
consistently failed to
embrace technical
education in its quest
for industrialisation,
noting that the British
system which Nigeria
copied now award
degree in all its
polytechnics.

Postume date is next we should all get prepared
Most of the universities were stubborn they wont accept d cut off like OAU, UNIBEN, UI etc #just pray dat Futa will accept this
