So it happened that i met this girl, we were friends and eventually started dating. Things were good, she seemed to me the perfect wife material, she didn't seem like a gold digger, always told me tu spend money carefully and not outspend she came to me as this strong girl in word of God, always preach to me self, fast-forward to September 2014 I travelled-out out of the country to Europe on 'hustling things' we said our gudbyes, and i promised 2be back within a year.

But after my trip things turned out sour sad sad, first coming to Europe as a newbie aint easy, everything is expensive, from transport to food or accommodation. A flat u wud get for 100,00 naira cud be what u wud be getting a room here 4 sad, thing were just expensive nd hard, well until you get a job wink, then at November 2014 my girlfriend asked me 4 some cash.. ~#50,000, it took me by surprise wel am like she shud chill, wat does she want d moni 4,she said she wanted 2 order sumthingz frm Dubai angry told her wen i get settled i ma giv her,she suddenly started gettn cold on me nd the only time she pings is tu ask if i ve got d moni. angryall said and done at a point she stopped replying my messages even when she reads it, i still gave her excuse "maybe she is busy because she is a medical student"

Then i had a plan, I used my other BBM which she did not have my pin, used anoda name and used a rich naija guy I know in Dubai, always wit Blings and money in his pics and dresses expensively, she accepted and we got talking. she did d normal where did u get ma pin frm, gave her sum rubbish lie but she didnt care ( my DP was a pic of the guy holding cash of dollars, she was replying very fast, sent lot of pix wen i asked for 1, nd then i asked if she had a boyfriend, she denied... saying her boifriend cheated on her sad den i broke up via fone nd blocked her!)

well she was still chatting wit her dubai millionaire. so she wudnt really feel it

Cut the story short this girl told me tucome 2 naija. was even begging me to come december, she asked 4 jewellries and I phone 6 wen i was comin, i promised her those and other surprises and damn she was so happy nd in love, was talking about marriage self, the day i said i was in Nigeria, was d day i finally deleted her. (till now she doesnt know i was the one behind the aaccount, but my ultimate revenge on her wud be wen i get bck tu naija dis year angry)

for the moment am done with gurls, cause dis thing pain me, dey only love ur money, it is so hard tu find som1 dat wanna be in d struggle with U, yu re trying to make better project one babe is trying tu cut it short

Moral of the story: No matter how much U give a girl she would betray you for more money

bookface: I meant what resistance level does it offer? Level 1, 2, 3 or 4?

E.g, a level 1 resistance can sustain shelling from standard 7.62 x 39mm bullets containing lead cores but will be defeated by 7.62 x 39 mm armor piercing bullets.

Additionally, if these are steel doors, then it implies that you haven't used bullet resistant materials like kevlar, lexan, titanum or carbon fiber composites, could you then, please touch a bit on the testing carried out to test the efficacy of these doors?
Oga these are just locally manufactured steel doors that are bullet proof or resistant without following any international standard. The manufacturer is a cottage industry who is not looking at international certification for now

SouthEast: Ethnic Quota For Nigerians Is Challenged
By JAMES BROOKE, Special to the New York Times
Published: November 06, 1988

At the age of 11, Adeyinka Badejo is learning the hard way about affirmative action, Nigerian style.

The daughter of an eminent political science professor here, Miss Badejo hoped last month to win admission to a Nigerian Unity School - a Government-financed prep school for top universities here and abroad.

To Miss Badejo's dismay, she discovered that several of her sixth-grade classmates scored lower than she did on a national test, but that they won admission to the prestigious boarding school system. In this West African nation where virtually everyone is of the same race, the difference is ''state of origin'' - often a code phrase in Nigeria for tribe.

Miss Badejo scored 293 on a 400-point test - three points below the cutoff for girls from Ogun state, a southern state largely populated by members of the Yoruba tribe. If she had been born to parents from Kano state, the northern heartland of the Hausa and Fulani tribes, she would have sailed into a Unity School with a score as low as 151. 'Federal Character' Policy
Ads by Google

Miss Badejo's rejection was a result of Nigeria's policy of ''reflecting the federal character.'' Through nationally mandated quotas, this policy is intended to insure that Nigeria's disadvantaged tribal groups have equal access to higher education and to Government employment.

Femi Badejo, Adeyinka's father and a professor at the University of Lagos, decided to sue Nigeria's Minister of Education on the grounds that the Unity School's admission policy constitutes discrimination.

In Nigeria, Africa's most populous nation and one of its most diverse, the case has attracted attention comparable to lawsuits challenging affirmative action programs in the United States.

Late last month, Nigerian reporters packed the three wooden press benches in Court 19 of Lagos High Court as opposing lawyers in black robes and white wigs argued their positions.

During a recess, Mr. Badejo, clad in a yellow dashiki-style shirt favored by the Yoruba people, limited his comments to saying: ''There is no comparison between affirmative action in the United States and 'federal character' in Nigeria.''

For Nigeria's southerners, Mr. Badejo's case has become a minor cause celebre, and several southern educators and politicians have sharply attacked the 10-year-old quota system. 'Unjust Discrimination'

''I think it's unjust discrimination,'' Lateef Kayode Jakande, a former governor of Lagos State, told a Nigerian reporter. ''The way out is to encourage the underdeveloped ones to catch up, rather than to bring down the developed ones.''

In Ibadan, the nation's largest city and one that is largely Yoruba, Dapo Ajayi, a high school principal, said the national quota system discourages southern students who see it as reverse discrimination.

Support for the federal character policy comes from Nigeria's north. The northerners, most of them Muslim, long resisted Western-style education first introduced by Britain, the colonial power here until 1960. Nigerians on the Atlantic coast -Yoruba in the west and members of the Ibo tribe in the east - sent their children in large numbers to British colonial schools.

Today, almost 30 years after independence, a new generation of Nigerians bears the stamp of this colonial inheritance. In the test Miss Badejo took last September, the cutoff point was set by the score attained by the 500th-ranking boy or girl in each state.

Cutoff scores for students from states largely populated by the Ibo or the Yoruba ranged from 280 to 303. Cutoff scores for students from northern states with high Hausa and Fulani populations ranged from 151 to 252.

FamilyRe: Letter To My Child - From A Trying To Conceive Husband by seyenko(m): 8:55am On May 31, 2013
amdman: My child,

Its just over 31 months since that day I took the stroll down the aisle with your mummy and said our vows before God and man. Since that day, we have been waiting expectantly for you. Sometimes we wonder what is taking you so long. Sometimes we imagine its taking so long because you must be very special. Most times our hearts have remained undoubtedly sure that your coming is very close, and in fact closer than we think. But then, you do not need to keep us waiting anymore.

But don’t think we have not done our fair share of things that are believed will make you come quickly. I have been severally tested and found to be perfect, having millions of you inside me. Mummy has been severally tested too and everything is in place, no cysts, no fibroids. And we have sown seeds too, financially and otherwise. We have invested in other children and continue to do so. We have followed plethora of advice on what and what not to do. We have not allowed our expectations to metamorphose into anxiety… yet you are yet to come.

And you know what? Mummy needs you! There is just something about African culture and the African woman that has made having you a certificate of completeness. You are the very person she needs right now. She has God, she has me, but she needs you to balance the equation. She has heard how discomfiting pregnancy can be... and how much more painful labour is too. But I can tell you that she is ready to go through all of that and more just to have you. Mummy G that has a 3yr-old and a 2yr-old just gave birth another 2 months ago. Mummy T that has a 2yr+ old is already carrying another. These people live in the same compound with mummy. Infact, your uncle and aunty that married after your mummy and daddy already hold their children in their hands. Granddaddy and Grandmummy are not putting mummy under pressure. They call her from time to time to encourage her to be patient. My siblings and hers do the same too. But little by little, mummy is beginning to put herself under pressure. I am doing everything I can to help her, but I need you to help me.

And don’t think that I don’t want you too! I want you with the last drop of my blood. I love you so much my heart literally aches sometimes. Children’s day was celebrated yesterday in church and it was beautiful. My eyes were flooded with tears to see so many lovely children showcasing their talents. I know that if you were here, you would have been one of the best! Anyway, I bought some gifts for children that are needy on your behalf; so know that your name is already recorded in church!

Today is Children's Day. If you were here, I would have taken the day off work to have fun with you at Inspiration FM’s Children Day’s Carnival at Dreamworld Africana. We would have had many lovely rides and yummy ice cream together, and I would have been overwhelmed just to hear you laugh. Nothing can describe how I would feel just to hold you in my arms knowing that you are my seed become flesh.

Please do not heed all the bad news on the airwaves and think the world is bad place. Do not listen to statistics that show that Nigeria is uninhabitable. We have sworn to do all we can to make the world a beautiful place for you. You will meet many challenges, but most importantly, you would have been prepared to overcome them.

I have to stop now because am in the office and my eyes are teary again. My boss just asked what’s wrong my eyes (lol) so I have to run before they find I have been crying. But am not ashamed to cry if it will make you come quickly. I know that we will surmount any mountain to finally have you in our arms… it’s just that waiting can be so hard sometimes.

We love you as no other human can ever and will ever do.

From the best Dad you could ever have,

M
Keep - keeping on, tell madam not to show too much anxiety. You should buy ovulation kits, it shows you when madam is ready. Also eat a lot of walnuts during that period. It helped me at least, i never had challenges with that, in fact my wife calls me "one touch" because we worked towards being jointly ready and had confirmation of conception after some few days of deliberate attempt

TravelRe: The Journey From Accra To Lagos By Road. by seyenko(m): 10:37am On Mar 13, 2013
360command: I feel very bitter narrating my experience or peoples experience on the journey from Accra to Lagos by road. I feel very bitter on the type of govt we have back in Nigeria. Nigeria in my heart but for how long will this people in govt continue to make us suffer? I have traveled by road and by air across various countries in the west African region and I must say that travelling by road to Lagos along the ECOWAS route is very pathetic. Due to the experience my friends encountered on the road when travelling, I have decided to write about the journey not given much details but the areas which needs to be handled seriously.
They(my friends) arrived Ghana by road from Lagos so as they can come to collect their certificate, recommendation and reference letter in other for them to be able to use to apply for their masters program abroad which was successful. The journey was with ease when arriving Ghana but the journey from Accra, Ghana to Lagos, Nigeria is worrisome especially when you reach SEME border which is Benin republic and Nigeria.infact, from Seme border down to Mile 2 is where the journey begins and this is very hectic.
SEME border as it is, is in a total mess and I wonder how many years it will take for the govt to fix things in order at the border. The sight is nothing to write home about, a noisy atmosphere where everybody does things helter-skelter. The drive back home from Seme into lagos city is ghastly. The roads are very bad with lots of potholes waiting to finish your shocks and create accidents. A lot of checkpoint by men in paramilitary and govt agencies such as customs, immigration , NDLEA, Police, quarantine, FRSC area boys acting as they were kept by govt on the road etc.
I strongly believe that there are over 37 checkpoint (legal or illegal) along badagry expressway. A 1km distance on that road , we can see about 8-10 different paramilitary on the road. This slows down the travel times covered to reach Lagos city itself. If every country in westafrica were to have such high numerous checkpoints that we are having in Nigeria, I do not think travelling by road will be worth it. It is very pathetic to see those paramilitaries collecting bribes on road so as they can allow vehicles or goods to pass. Those officers mean business and permit me to use this word ‘their eyes dey chook’. I do not see them as officers who are doing their job but they are there to waste peoples time and money not caring about where they are going.
I am not happy with the Nigerian government, I am not happy with ECOWAS. I really do not know what ECOWAS are doing in Abuja, I do not know why our govt cannot remove those paramilitary off the ECOWAS road at once without them from coming back. At least, there should be about 5 checkpoint on the road. Our govt should understand that Nigeria is the only country we have and we have no other place to go other than Nigeria. They should just make the country a better place for us to live in. they should remove the stress out of us. Even though they have money to enter flight, there are many people who do not have. Is it too much to ask from the govt just to help us? Shey na like this we go de dey?
It is not just road travel - at Nigeria's international airports you will see all manners of uniforms, each trying to outdo the other and feeling important. I have flown into various airports in west and east africa and i barely see uniforms not to talk of multiple uniforms and guns. So Seme boarder is still that chaotic, if you are blindfolded from Ghana to Nigeria - you will know when you enter Nigeria. The road is rough and too many uniforms forming responsibility. This same Nigerian attitude delays the clearing of containers from the Ports. I have concluded that Nigeria is not 3rd World but 4th World even by African Standard.

vicade: Is there a global standard for nuisance ? Cos I'm thinking the original poster is a nuisance in my view same way I think Kim Kardashian is a nuisance but I don't think her over 16 million followers on twitter and many more that watch her show think the same.

Goldie was a good musical artist with hit singles such as Jawo Jawo,Say my Name,Don't touch my body and Skibobo. Her music videos were really good and I like her songs. Maybe Dr Kayode Fayemi does too.

The Original Poster is just being overly self righteous. Goldie could sing and she had great videos.

Its people like the original poster that will frown against indecent exposure and yet watch porn or patronize a love peddler by the side.

What's a nuisance to you may not be a nuisance to me. Its a free world not a communist society.
You mean she sang just 4 songs ( not even up to an album), spent 91 days in Big Brother House and she became a celebrity?
What a society !

I got a text some few months later saying that they would need to reallocate (that was 2yrs ago), till today they have not reallocated neither have they returned my money. I have decided to take it up legally and was wondering if i can just ask for the current value of the land as i'm not really interested in the land anymore. I am already frustrated with the quaality of service i've received from the company and will not want to have anything to do with that name. I have informed them that i'm holding on to the allocation papers i received and my lawyer is writing them as we speak.
as per Pretoria Atlantic ђã†̥ I did was to organise a "class action" I got all the people who bought their land to write a petition to the special fraud unit. Their MD was arrested and eventually granted bail- he had to sign an undertaking to give us our land. We are in the process of finalizing the paperwork for the land. The truth is, he doesnt have moneyy to pay back
