In Nigeria - there are Men of Gold and not Men of God. They are interested in your tithes just as the politicians are interested in your tax. Birds of feather will always flock together

Christianity EtcRe: The State Of The Nation And the stand The Christian Community must take by seyenko(op): 10:23am On Jan 15, 2010
Just looked thru the hyperlink you provided and i can see similaries, but it baffles me that the new testament said Christianity is not of meat and drink, but of persecution and long suffering. If you are a Christian leader and you are afraid of the butt of the gun or a jail sentence for public disobedience because you are exercising your human rights, then you shouldn't call yourself a Christian leadder since you are not happy to suffer. What do you think?
Christianity EtcThe State Of The Nation And the stand The Christian Community must take by seyenko(op): 9:24am On Jan 15, 2010
Morning All,

How you all doing? over the past couple of weeks, Nigeria has being without leadership. However i expect at least our Christian leaders to speak up for the rights of the masses and very few of them has since done that. We saw Tunde Bakare protesting in Abuja and the head of the Anglican communion in Nigeria Jasper Akinola has also done the same. I am just wondering, what are the likes of RCCG, Winners Chapel, Chosen etc doing for the rights of the masses? Is it that they can only pray, do revival, collect offering and tithes, then they keep 'mum' when we expect that they act as a pressure group. I think we need to evaluate the leaders of Christianity as a whole, if you cannot defend the oppressed from the oppressors then you are nothing but a business man. What do you think?
PoliticsRe: Why Are Nigerians Such Big Cowards? by seyenko(m): 8:06am On Jan 13, 2010
I was invited to a church service yester-night and the so called man of GOD was talking and quoting bible passages about son-ship and christians being sons of GOD and why the sons should claim what is theirs from the servants. He went on blablabla, i wanted to ask him that with the current political situation in Nigeria, what has he done to remedy the situation? I can see Pastor Tunde Bakare protesting in Abuja trying his best to effect a change of government, some stupid people who call themselves pastors are busy ranting in the church. Why can't they step out and fight for freedom? I just wonder

Since it happens at work mainly, it might be your PC monitor. You might also need to see an optamologist to find out if you need glasses especially a photo chromic one to help cut the glare from the monitor.
HealthRe: Why Is Smoking So Hard To Quit? by seyenko(m): 9:11am On Dec 21, 2009
I smoked for more than 10 years before i decided it was time to quit. It is very difficult to quit but you must develop a strong will to quit. Let me tell you my method - i started having at least one smoke free day, usually a sunday - since i just left church service and the spirit level is high it was possible for me to keep most sundays smoke free. Then i started hanging out less and less with friends who smoke - the smell of nicotine is very powering and invigorating for a smoker. Then i stopped drinking - i really didn't enjoy a smoke without a beer, so i decided to cut back on the 2. Then i stopped buying cigarettes in packs, i started to buy in sticks. Then i stopped going to clubs and parties because the social interaction is a trigger to let off steam and start smoking.

Usually i couldn't go to bed without having a nicotine rush - instead of smoking multiple sticks before sleeping i drag a single stick of  cigar very deep into my lungs so i smoke just 1 stick instead of many. I stopped sitting down with the abokis in my neighborhood, i stopped having lengthy conversations with a lot of people who have some influence on my smoking habit - friends and abokis in the neighborhood.

I must confess it took more than 2 years before i finally quit and after quitting it took another 3 or more years of avoiding cigar smell, clubs, friend etc - before my brain could adjust that it doesn't need nicotine to function. So you see, you need a very strong will to quit, you are likely to give up a lot of friends and make a lot of personal sacrifices. Take care

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Police Your Friend Or Your Enemy? by seyenko(m): 4:37pm On Nov 04, 2009
Nigerian police ! i have lost all respect i have for them, now i insult them, curse them, abuse their families. Are they the only poorly enumerated civil servants in Nigeria? I earn less than 50K but i do not abuse my office or live above my means. Nigerian police behavior has nothing to do with salary, they had a salary increase this january. As long as they think they can harass okada, keke marwa and danfo drivers for 20 naira they believe they are good. Nowadays they come out before 6 in the morning, mount at least 4 check points , collect money per check point. I have had reasons to call the CP when they start to ask me stupid things. They should be lined up and shot, we are better without them
PoliticsRe: Why Not Build Refineries Before Deregulation? by seyenko(m): 4:16pm On Nov 04, 2009
Nature abhor a vacuum, the same analogy applies - the deregulation process will force the domestication of petroleum production instead of the current trend to import because the framework for deregulation does not involve government as a player. The private sector participants will have to meet the supply end of the demand domestically
PoliticsRe: Will Christian Leaders bring Integrity to Nigerian Politics? by seyenko(m): 12:03pm On Oct 16, 2009
What Christian leaders ! where are they? i haven't seen any Christian leader in Nigeria worthy of emulation.
They are either selling your taxes - Joshua Dariye, Alamasegha, James Ibori, Lucky Igbinedion, Jolly Nyame.

Stealing your tithes - to fund private jets their congregation don't need , build schools too expensive for congregation to afford, convert factories to churches then pray for jobs, convert farm land to massive out of state churches then pray for food, turning churches to agrarian institution by collect controversial seed offering which offer no harvest, no sense of social responsibility etc.

Convert your monies in their family controlled banks to fund their life style - Cecilia Ibru, Erastus Akingbola, Atuche, Adigwe, Adenuga etc are all Christians.

Dont get me wrong i am a Christian so i am not condemning the church but the Church is now too worldly to make any impact.

Let's take statistics of recent leaders worthy of emulation - Gani Fawehinmi, El rufai, Nuhu Ribadu and Lamido Sanusi. What religion do they practice? Please let us the sincere, there are no Christian leaders any more they are all too greedy to care that is why with all the churches in Nigeria (5/ Street) - darkness is overcoming our light because there was no light initially in the church but darkness.

PoliticsRe: Why Has Nigerians Lost The Will To Fight by seyenko(m): 10:51am On Oct 08, 2009
Nigeria is due for a bloody revolution, it is only a bloody revolution that can cleansing the country. I believe history repeats it self, i have not seen a developed country in this world that achieved development without killing off its ruling and elite class. It is the Bolshevik revolution in Russia, or the French revolution, or the American revolution. Coming closer to Africa, it is the Rawlins led revolution in Ghana or the South African battle against apartheid. We need to kill off the ruling class before this country can move forward. Even Fela sang about the reluctance of Nigerians to fight for freedom and justice.
