Chinonye94:
Hello house. I have a medical appointment at qlife fr 4th of July. Does anyone have a closer date so we can swap? Thank you in advance
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Shadypoza: 3:19pm On Jun 14, 2019
Q-life booked me for 1st of July, while IOM ikeja booked me for 27th. In other to pick up d pace, i contacted IOM abuja and they have space 4next week (as from 19th June) so i decided to make use of IOM Abuja to save time, i think u shud do same too.

Ymin:
Good afternoon house.

Please, I just got a medical request for my application.
However, the date available from Qlife is currently 2nd July after I sent them the request letter now. IOM is yet to get back to me.

I don't know if anyone has an earlier date that was booked prior to the date that we can swap.

Thank you.

Thanks alot for the advise, i appreciate it. I will just adhere to it and withdraw the Application.
Frankrobbn1:

This isn't amusing.... 12 months, no medical request, no update and still counting?, I respect your tenacity to have waited this long. When applicants who applied as at that time are already studying in Canada and have completed their first academic calendar and proceeding to the 2nd year. My candid advice is that you should request for a withdrawal of your application as soon as you can. Your temporary resident application has stayed longer than ever expected. If a decision has already been made on your application, you won't be able to carry out the withdrawal until the final decision has been communicated to you. On the contrary, if there is no decision yet, your application fees will be fully refunded to the debit card where the money was originally generated. Some applicants got approved after sending a withdrawal request to the embassy while others ended up as a refusal. Trust me you have nothing to loose at this point.

Hello everyone, i really need advise from the gurus in d house.
I applied via online since June 10, 2018 for a student study permit. This month makes it a year since my application. My visa app is been processed at London office and I've sent countless mails to London VO and d MP of Scarborough in Ontario, (dts whr my skol is located) yet still no intervention nor reply from d VO.
Now, am considering withdrawing my application by mid June 2019 only if i still don't get any news from cic or London visa office so i can reapply again.
Please house, i need guidance as to wat to do abt this whole situation, cos this thing is really a lot to deal with. Mind u, i already ordered n received a GCSM note.
While applying 4d study permit, i didn't do any upfront medicals. Someone pls help a brother out with suggestions n how to go abt this

I just did bro, thanks alot for d info. Will do as u have said, London VO is actually responsible 4my visa application processing. While the school is actually 'Centennial college' in Ontario.

Again, because you are a June 2018 applicant, the answer you seek is in that little text from makano that i directed you to. Do read through again carefully after the "defer admission part", pay more attention to the instruction on how to send the mails.

I checked bro, d answer there wasn't mean for me. Cos in my case i stated that d office handling my application is London visa office. But d answer there seems like a solution meant for someone else. Nonetheless, i appreciate ur kind gesture n hope our wait will turn to celebration soon.

Na wa o. After dropping this by now i thought some of d gurus here would have looked at it n helped out with a suggestion. Only 4it to be ignored.

Shadypoza:
Since i joined this platform, i've been seeing posts about upfront medicals. How can one go about it in my case? My application was done via online and it was in June 10, 2018 while biometrics was on June 12 2018. After waiting till February 2019, i decided to apply for GCSM note, with this i was able to understand that my application which was submitted June 10 2018, arrived London VO November 2018, till now no update have been received from CIC despite countless mails, webforms and several attempts to contact them, all they keep saying is 'application in progress'.
I've been able to push my PGD admission from May to summer (September). In this case of mine, please what would u suggest i do or how do i go about it. I don't have London VO phone number, would have also tried reaching them. I just need guidance regarding this case, thanks.

Thanks, I've received the mail.
Yeah, as regards the constituency, the web address u gave me will enable me get the details of the MP of Ontario. At least, that's a very big help and am really grateful 4d assistance. I just informed my bro about it so he can also help me check out and follow up with d MP in his constituency.

Omonoba1981:
That will be perfect then if you have a brother. Let me check with his MPs and ask for help. I already send you the website and email my brother used.

The way this works is as a person who stays in that constituency, your MP is entitle to help his people. But it actually depend on the MP. Some are not just good and willing to follow up. And it also depend on how your brother talk to them.

Note the mail I sent was based on the constituency where my brother stays which might differ from yours.

Thank alot, that would be very much helpful. My elder bro lives in Canada and he has actually been the one helping out with my application. We've ran out of options and so i decided to seek help here as to how to go about contacting CAD embassy and going about the application cos my application processing has taken too long and am really worried about it. Thanks alot and i will be expecting your mail. onokevbagbeambrose@yahoo.com
Omonoba1981:
@Shadypoza I can send you the email, but not sure how they will handle your case. In my case, my brother communicated with the office responsible for his region he stays.

I think he went directly to the office, telling them he lives in their constituency and he is sponsoring his younger sister and has made all necessary payment and need them to help check her status.

In your case, as you are not a PR or stay in there constituency not sure how that would play. And also the school I applied was in Saskatchewan.

But I will send you the MP email and would like to know if he respond to you and what he has to stay.

Meanwhile you can get a whole list of all the MPs in Canada

Hi,
I applied June 12, 2018. Till now which is April 21, i still haven't gotten any feedback from CIC. I applied for GCMS note and it seems the issue is with my eligibility which is yet to be decided, my application has taken 10 months already and am confused as to what to do. And London visa office is the one handling my student visa application. Please i just need urgent assistance/opinions on what and how to go about this

Wow. This is pathetic! Early April? And this is October. Heartless people. If I may ask, when did you do your Biometrics? Were you ever asked to come for Biometrics again? Have you been called for medicals? When did your eligibility review start? Do you have anything (maybe travel history) that could have made background check so long? Pls share your profile, order for GCMS. It will tell you why it's taking forever!

Thank You[/quote]
