^^^
The generic tool set pictured is available at SHOPRITE.
I'll try my hands at fixing the lights myself. They are plug and play.
I haven't researched cd players as I am currently satisfied with the trunk mounted 6-changer.

Sorry the project is taking so long. Work takes me away from base most weekends and weekdays are out of it.
Some patience bro.
Thanks for following

Car TalkRe: Fastest Speed You Have Ever Driven: Car, Place, Time? by Shagati(m): 12:38am On Dec 08, 2013
I managed to do 140km on my way to Imo from Abuja
i have done 240km/h on ilesha/ibadan/lagos express road.
did like 180/ 190 this morning on the 3mb trying to keep up with a range rover sport
Between Agbo and Onitsha on the express,i did 190km/Hr. Along Asaba/Kwale road i did 170Km/Hr
Hmmm.

All these self confessions of breaking the law via exceeding speed limits on public roads. shocked shocked shocked
Last time I checked, speed limit on interstate highways in Nigeria remains 100km/hr for private sedans.

At N5,000 fine per speeding offence(?), I have counted over N1,000,000 in collectible fines on this thread alone

Discretion guys, discretion! wink
Probably the connector for the seat or curtain airbags (If your car has them).
Its quite a common fault with the older Audis (like mine :-( ), but is a relatively easy fix. If possible carry out a scan to detect the particular airbag you have to deal with.
Should be a relatively simple fix.... except if you've torn the wiring right off (unlikely)
Checked all wires and connections. All is tight and in place. Re-installed seat and airbag light is still illuminated.
Maybe the issue with dropped plastic was a coincidence?
Will have the car scanned and report back after I carry out the same procedure on the passenger seat to eliminate a disconnection there as well.
Should we expect new mods to you beemer...? Still awaiting what she'll look like with the new headlights ...
Lights have been purchased and awaiting delivery to Lagos. Final ones bought differ slightly from the pictures I put up previously.
I will keep you updated on progress sir! I appreciate yours and Yungboss' interestsmiley

Seat out,
Loads of garbage accumulated over the years. Took the opportunity to clean out.
I put the cloth on the door sill to prevent scratches to the paint while lifting the seat out and back in

Follow the directions in reverse to re-install the seat
Das all! wink

Car TalkRe: Bmw 325Ci E46 - Repairs and Maintenance by Shagati(op): 11:59pm On Dec 07, 2013
Next, slide the seat to a sort of middle position so it will exit the car easily.
Then lean the seat backwards to rest on the rear seat and look under to find the wire harness

Disconnect this carefully and the seat is ready to be lifted out

Bolts and nuts out

Car TalkRe: Bmw 325Ci E46 - Repairs and Maintenance by Shagati(op): 11:32pm On Dec 07, 2013
The bolts at the rear

Note that to remove the front nuts, you have to slide the seat all the way back and the converse is the case to remove the rear nuts (slide seat forwards)

Car TalkRe: Bmw 325Ci E46 - Repairs and Maintenance by Shagati(op): 11:28pm On Dec 07, 2013
Whatever it was that I had touched wasn't accessible from the side of the seat and neither was it accessible from underneath.
What to do?
REMOVE THE SEAT!!!
I checked a couple of online BMW forums and discovered that the E46 Coupe seats are relatively easy to remove using a "17mm" socket.
So I will share my experience here.

The seat is secured in place with 2 x 17mm hexagon nuts in front and 2 x 17mm hexagon bolts at the rear.
The nuts in front have a plastic covering that can be removed by hand

Last weekend, I was about to exit a tolled car park, I had the plastic parking disc in my right hand and somehow, I managed to drop it in the tight space between the driver's seat and the centre console.
I thrust my fingers in to retrieve the disc but the space was so tight that the more I fiddled, the more stuck it got.
I eventually managed to get it out after much rummaging and tooting of horns by other angry users behind me embarassed

As I drove off, I noticed that the airbag light had come on....it wasn't there 3 minutes ago. Apparently, I had dislodged something while I was fishing. cry

spinna: Guys if i may ask why not just jeans boots leather jacket and helmet?
It's actually a matter of choice bro.
Some people ride in t.shirt, shorts and flip flops. If it works for them, fine.

My question to you is: the day you hit the tarmac at horizontal velocity of 60km/h (++), what would YOU rather be wearing? Fully certified kit or stuff that would disintegrate on impact?

Google the acronym ATGATT

azpekuliar: @Shagati, I'm almost stomping up, N900,000 for a 2012 Yamaha FZ-8 from an expatriate relocating to his home country . I just did a quick calculation based on the prices at MetallicStore, why are the accessories so expensive? Excluding training, from the helmets to the gloves a whopping N162,200 alone! shocked Jeeeeez! And I'm only gonna be riding on weekends. angry
Tell Ken that you're friends with his Financial Secretary wink That may earn you a brownie point or two

These things can get quite expensive especially if you buy here.
The downside with ordering from outside (e.g Canada) is that you might get the wrong size.
Different manufacturers have varying size charts. Size Medium might be what you want but the correct size with a manufacturer may be a size Small.
I know all the sizes that would fit me so I can afford to order.
No need to buy everything at once. Start with the helmet and work your way downwards.

The most important thing is the riding training. You will get a better face to face interaction with the instructors regarding everything.

Cheers and welcome grin
Wrong! Blackbodies absorb heat. A perfect blackbody will absorb all radiation that is incident to it, and this is why it will not be desirable, particularly in Nigeria, because you will then need unnecessary amount of energy just to keep the insides cool.(Maybe it would make sense in somewhere like scandinavian regions where it is usually cold though).
Spot on! Black painted houses are common in Scandinavia

PropertiesRe: Is Anything Wrong In Painting A House Black? by Shagati(m): 2:33pm On Oct 25, 2013
OP,
There is nothing wrong in painting your house black. The primary concern in Nigeria is the heat. I am sure it is possible to even achieve this with some heat resistant or reflective paint/glass but then, some cultural limitations do exist.

festwiz: I don't think there is any house painted black in the world.on a funny note,if u paint it black in naija, even theif go fear u
