simbaddsailor: If the information is true ==> it is true |
Rear left cluster lets in water somehow into the boot whenever it rains heavily. This was caused by a weak rubber gasket at the point where the lights meet the body of the car. Sorted!!!
|
Rear right light cluster was acting up intermittently. All 3 lights (brake, reverse and indicator lights) would work whenever they pleased. This was discovered to be due to some loose wiring. This was sorted out too

Used the opportunity to replace the faulty oil level sensor. So no more amber oil warning light on the dash for 10 seconds at start up ![]()

Also did a service two Saturdays ago. Oil, Filter etc. At the first service 3,000km ago (yes, car covered 3,000+ km in just over 10 months), I used 20w50 oil. Now I went slightly higher up the ladder by using semi synthetic 15w50 (TOTAL Quartz 7000). This was after flushing the engine with 8 litres of flushing oil. Next oil change has again been set for 3,000km seeing that the vehicle gets such little use.

New set. Looking sharp! New set cost N5,500. Bought in Olowu, Ikeja
|
The old pair was apparently glued down by previous owner (theft issues?) so needed some scrapping and preparation for the new set to be installed.
|
Off!
|
And while I was at it, I decided to replace the kidney grille up front that were missing a few fins each as can be seen above. My boys (6 and 4) decided the grille was some kind of musical instrument thus a few more fins were lost in a Mozart moment ![]() The old grilles

We lost quite a bit of text with the NL downtime but oh well. Remember the Euro style plate number holder that didn't match the US style plates used in Nigeria? Well that is gone and plate is now installed directly onto the bumper... ![]() GrownMan: Please share new pix of the new number plate holder. Would like to do the same.... i.e remove the Euro style number plate holder. I have been thinking of the best way to do this as it appears the actual plate holder merges with the black trims at the top of the bumper.I didn't use a separate holder sir.

Mavor: True talk!! I apologize to IBoss and I have edited the post on the thread in question.Good man! ![]() |
Siena: ....or delete it altogether, relocating the fuel filler inside the bed, in the wheel well itself....Won't this option make refuelling cumbersome? Having to raise the automatic cover every time to access the bed? |
Siena: Palm oil works better. lomomike: No, the OP should mix the palm oil with salt and pour the mixture into his fuel tank. It works bestHahahaha! ![]() |
ibizgirl: Lots of questions to ask, if your friend is stranded why not take him home to spend the night? Why allow him sleep in your officeAny question regarding the build up to the alleged theft is slightly redundant at this point. Focus should be on finding a way forward no? |
Bossforeva: Just got interested in your post, decided to google the name.Hmmm. You're a regular certified CSI aren't ya? ![]() @ Mission: Seems our Doc had it all planned out. He took advantage of your partner's niceness (naivety) to perpetrate his crime. I hope you sort this out soon. |
kingteeee: What will it be the measurement of 1.85m converted to ft? Anybody who knows about this should tell...6ft 3inches |
Gee2728: @ shagati, we sexy and u know it................Lol. Damn right! |
lungwun: The E92 is a beautiful car but unfortunately when I look out my window at my driveway, all I see is my E46 coupe, and that is what makes it more beautiful.Lol! Poignant words |
The red from another angle (I LOVE THE RED) and other colours ![]()

Unbiased please
|
lungwun: I approve of this message. I might be biased though.Bro, Please look again with an unbiased mind Damn!
|
Gee2728: @ shagati, i still dnt know y i find it hard to see past the beauty of a bmw E46. its still one of the best looking 3series for me especially the coupes.Ah Bros. I own the black e46 coupe below which is a beeyoutifuuul car. ![]() But the E92 is leagues apart on looks o!!!

Lolaabokoku: I live ¶n lagos aΩ̴̩̩̩̥d̶̲̥̅̊ hav been Τ̅Ơ̴̴̴̴͡Erm, let me see; Ibadan, Benin and Port Harcourt are not States in Nigeria and 'farest' is not a word in the context you have used it. So I would say NO you have absolutely no reason to be proud. |

Gee2728: nice one bro. i'll own a V8 someday but not this E53 x5. with all the horror tales about leaking power steering fluid, failed transmission jst to mention a few. i'll be looking at possibly at audi or lexus for a V8. but for now just to move the family on vacation and moving bigger stuffs i guess the I6 will do just fine.So it's settled then? BMW X5 3.0 What is your purchase timeline? Do keep us posted. In other news, I'm getting a serious h.ard on for the new 3-Series.... The F-something. Gosh she's a beauty. Let me look for an online picture and post |
abatically: of course I'm not kidding. The question was what's the difference between a 2.0 v6 and a 3.0 v6. They both have the same no of cylinders (6). Yes there are some 2.0L v6 engines and have been used in Honda legend, mazda mx3 and alfa GTVApologies bro. Mix-up caused by a case of wrongful quoting. I have modified my post above ![]() |
lomomike: another difference there are two (2) extra cylinders + two (2) extra pistons in the 3.0 V6Tell me you're kidding? |
lomomike: I think he was refering to Honda cars not Honda motorcyclesThere is insufficient evidence in Siena's post to conclude that sir ![]() Relax bro, I'm just doing my own share of forum chain yanking ![]() Cheers |
Siena: There's no V4 engine option in the Honda range.Oh yes there is bro (You know why I couldn't resist eh?)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_VFR1200F The Honda VFR1200F is the 7th generation Honda sport touring motorcycle from the VF and VFR line motorcycles powered by a transverse mounted V4 engine. The VFR1200F replaces the previous VFR800 and has several new technologies including the first dual clutch transmission offered on a motorcycle

azpekuliar: Do not be tempted to get something you'll be scared to ride or crash. All that vroom vroooom and posing on the 600cc + class would come later. The rewards of being a great rider/biker are certainly worth the months/years of practice it takes to become one.Great! You finally bit the bullet. ![]() Your post above is very true especially the highlighted portion. It would be interesting for you to note also that learning never stops while riding. I rode to work during the week and I still discovered traffic/road/car driver combinations that I have never experienced before. Always ride with a clear head and remember...ATGATT!! Which of the below is yours?

Here sir How may I help you? |
