Hi mamas, it's been a while. Happy new year to you all. My baby Ree has gone to be with the Lord, that was on 21st January. It hasn't been easy but God has been faithful, and like everyone keep saying, the one that would stay would come. I just use my hand console myself cos I did my best for him. May God protect our Los in Jesus name, Amen. I know affliction can't rise a second time but I don't want double for my trouble (twins).
Stay safe everyone.
so sorry mama. Affliction will never rise again. Accept my condolence

justwise:
You can apply with her but before you do that you need to find out the cost of nursing in the city where your school is or contact your school because some schools have that provision.

Regarding maintenance fees you need to read guidance note link in first page of this thread, there is a section in that link where dependant financial requirement is explained in details
Thanks Justwise

Buku:
Good morning
Yes you can apply with her as a dependant. You all can apply together even if he is not going to be in the UK for the whole of your study duration as I believe that he will need to visit you during your stay and will also make the VO believe that you have someone to take care of her while you are in uni.
Nursery fees varies and she will be attending a creche which you could enrol her for full day or half day(as necessary). In Scotland you can get full day at 35-50 pounds and half day 20_35pounds. Her maintenance is 6120 for Scotland(check web for England). Thanks so much.
All the best
Thanks so much 4 d response

I don't know about raw... but boiling it before adding would be ok.. what I do, while grinding the guinea corn, millet and yellow corn, I add it together and grind. So when I'm extracting it I do it at once and while making the pap, the hot water in making it makes it cooked.
Ok. Thanks.

Have you tried giving ginger to your baby? Ginger has a very high benefits in cases like this. In your baby's pap/ogi blend ginger in it, in any other food put ginger. It'll help cure/relieve your baby from that. that's what has kept my baby from such ailment.

I wish your baby speed recovery.
Just got to know d effect of ginger from your post. Can i add raw ginger or I must boil b4 adding it? Also what quantity can I put in her food? Thanks so much.

It is usually better to try foods for your Lo individually rather than using combos. This will enable you to fish out the culprit easily. It is when you have established that they don't react to the food that it becomes safe to combine.
Noted. Thanks ma

Oh dear I'm so Sorry about that. One thing is, you should know and understand your baby's body. I'm having a feeling it's the soybeans. 70% of babies react to it and/Or groundnut or crayfish. i'll suggest you stick to just the millet, guinea corn and yellow corn with milk for and observe the reaction.

You give the soymilk to your baby from one year, im sure his body system should be ready for it.

I'm sorry about the reaction. Give him enough fruits, breast milk, water and watch the reaction, he'll be fine. Take care of him.
Thanks. She's getting better now. She had a swollen, reddish cheek but got better after few days.

Hi ma'am. I tried this combo for my 10 months old baby but reacted to it. Soybeans was even added to it. Though, I introduced my baby to Aptamil milk and this modernised pap dat includes d things above. He reacted to one of these.

You'll have to ask around.
The pictures are online, you can download/screenshot the fruit and leaves and show to elders around.

It lowers blood pressure, so it is not advisable to take it with other blood pressure lowering medications (too low blood pressure is bad too . . . for individuals battling blood pressure issues, it is advisable to have a blood pressure measuring machine handy while using it).

The 'agbo'/tea is best taken alone, as it is known to work by blocking ATP production and thus reduce the voltage of the cancer cell to the point it falls apart (apoptosis or programmed cell death) . . . most of other cancer treatments work in a different way and may interfere.
Thanks so much. Will ask around
HealthRe: Cancer Killer Fruit. by Shallypop(f): 10:59am On Nov 15, 2018
989900:
The leaves boiled as 'agbo', is more potent (could work for stages 1-3, stage 4, maybe not) . . . does other good works too. The fruit will be good as a 'preventive'; not 'curative'.

P.S. Soursop leaves lowers blood pressure, which can be dangerous if you are taking other HBP medications. These things need guidance and some other stuffs . . . reasons why I personally don't like saying things about things online: good intentions might turn sour.

Cancer is arguably the world's most deadliest disease, there is no 'magic pill', the best proven alternative/natural treatments/cures are protocols designed to work in synergy. It's a whole lifestyle change thing (you can't be pouring water and fuel into the same tank).
pls where can I get d soursop leaf and why is it dangerous with bp medication? Thanks

She won't have asthma so don't panic.
She has a sensitive nose which makes her react to humidity a lot in other words she suffers from sinusitis
Somebody with such can easily attract virus or bacteria and u know these things spread so fast especially through sneezing that's why it can speed to the lung in less than 2 days anytime she starts sneezing.
So the focus is on how to stop her from sneezing.

Trust me I spent hundreds of thousands for this. Had I know .....but then again, its ok as long as my child is all right.
A child that was very well last 3 days might be rushed to emergency and be on oxygen 24hrs battling breathing problem and some drs will want to pin it on asthma . And if u continue giving asthma drug to one who isn't asthmatic, u are actually encouraging it to develop. That's how bad it is. (We started from common cold, bacteria, pneumonia.....etc)
But then again cos it's a very good hospital and frequent visits more suggestions and measures until we added all together to come to the conclusion that it's sinutisis and since then till we left the country no more hospital or drugs.

Do u know the normal saline drip?
It's a mixture of water and salt.
Google it's effect in cleaning the nose.( one of my child's peadiatrician told me to use that even at the time we didn't know it was sinutisis)
It's like using antiseptic soap to wash hand to avoid germs.
That's what it does to the nose. It kills any foreign organism in the nose. U use that to clean the nose through nebulizing machine. (Ur child will be inhaling the steam and as she does so, it cleanses the nose of any impurities)
Then get a nebulizing machine.
Google can explain better if u don't know what it is. A little bit costly but it's a must. Go to shops that sell medical equipment.
U get the drip that's in a plastic bottle.
But a carton of syringe too.
Go to ur Dr( good one and show him or her this post), tell ur Dr to show you how to use it and what qty to put for us baby to inhale. A seasoned nurse can be of help too. It's not my duty to tell u the qty but it's actually small. Asthma patients use such machine.

I started by nebulizing him every two two days, then 3, and 2times in a week.
Anytime I notice he is sneezing anyhow, I will do that. It's not drug. Just ordinary drip water.
I always prefer after bath cos that's when the nose Is most sensitive. Most of the time when bathing people with such problem, u will notice that their nose are not usually friendly with soap. It makes them sneeze a lot.
Anything that makes them sneeze should be avoided.

Yeah, my child stopped creche cos of this and this has been the only reason why he normally visit the hospital.
It escalated cos I didn't start the right treatment on time till around 5 yrs.
It's kind of heredity.
We don't have asthma in either of the families but I suffer from post nasal drip anytime I'm pregnant. Can u see the relationship?
But if it keeps on affecting the lung, it can lead to asthma.

As time goes on, ur child will out grow it.( one of our drs that identified with the case very well did so cos her son suffers from the same thing and this is what she uses)
Of course cold may cause runny nose but always be alert when u see signs of cold or bacteria infection.

U have to learn how to differentiate between sinutisis sneezing and cough, cold sneezing and cough and malaria or bacterial infection sneezing and cough.
(Yeah, motherhood is hard, right? kiss)

I used rhinatiol for cough as it dried sputum and controls sneezing( it was the best after using almost all the cough syrup I can find then) . The aim is when it's continues sneezing, it will help dry out the sputum quicker. But of course you should know what is best for ur child.
Pls stop using antibiotics without test and that should be done in good hospital.

Majority of people that suffer from asthma as adults do so cos of negligence from parents when cases like this started when they were kids and our hospitals aren't helping too.
Majority of the children taken to hospital are misdiagnosed about this epidemic and trust me more than 60% of the children taken to hospital annually during rainy season is because of this.

Not to worry, show this to ur trusted health practitioner and follow what she or he tells u and gradually, it will stop.
It took me 3 yrs of going to zankli hospital Abuja to get to this level. They should be among the best paediatric hospital in Nigeria.
If u live in Abuja, I will suggest u go there.

I do hope my explanation is simple enough.
All the best.
Dear Ma, thanks so much for the detailed explanation and to all mamas who have taken out time to respond to me. I appreciate u all. God will continue to protect our children.
You have just detailed exactly my daughter's condition. I actually took some steps too . I have d saline water dat I drop in her nose. I also do some steaming whenever I notice she's got cold. Surprising, I nebulize her. I have d Omron machine which I got at Medplus. I use 2.5ml saline water. I didn't give birth to her in Nigeria and it started immediately i got back to Nigeria when she was 3 months. Some r suggesting change of whether. I'm even thinking of flying her back. D last time she had cough, subtamol was used to nebulize her but I used saline water 4 her at home.
I will take all d precaution more diligently now. I pray it doesn't degenerate to Asthma cos they r always using Asthma drugs to nebulise her. I know my baby doesn't have Asthma but she's prone to it. That's y I'm doing everything possible to avoid it by God's grace.
Thanks 4 taking your time. I feel more relaxed and better. I'm grateful to u all.

The child might actually be reacting to the weather which manifests through sinus infection.
That's why I ask if the child sneezes a lot.
Sadly, some of the best hospitals in Nigeria don't have the equipment to test for this or the drs even suggest it as one of the suspects.

If it's sinutisis which I strongly believe it is, I can tell her what she can do until the child outgrown it.
If it's not handled properly, it can cause asthma and some hospitals give out asthma drugs which worsens it.

My child has a similar case.
pls ma, tell me what to do. I don't want it to turn to Asthma. I guessed it might be the weather cos I noticed dat when she was down with bronchitis, alot of kids came with d same issue and i was told there was an epidemic. She sneezes alot as well.

Insecticide is a big irritant. We have the same issue. Bronchitis and what you're describing means you should be quite careful, you may have a child that is prone to some upper respiratory illnesses. Nothing to be worried about, they usually outgrow it, you also have to watch out for Sinusitis. Doctors don't diagnose Asthma before the age of 2, but they will treat it. I advise you get a hospital with a Paediatrician who comes in daily. And ask the Paediatrician what his/her specialty is in. It helps if they know a pulmonologist or Thoracic physician. They're rare.
Thanks so much ma. I pray she outgrows it.

Babies react to many things, their immune system is not yet strong like ours.
Do you take her with you to the kitchen while frying?
Pouring fuel inside generator (I sneeze anytime I perceive fuel, same with my daughter)
Dust from outside, windows or curtains?
