Good day mamas. My 8 months old baby usually have cough every 2 months. She was down with bronchitis at 5 months. The paediatrician said she's reacting to something in d house coupled with infection. I have no idea what she might be reacting to at home. I do not put on fan nor A.c. I was even asked if any1 has a history of Asthma in my family. And I said no. I'm worried cos of d question asked. Nobody actually has a history of Asthma at both sides.Anyone experienced this?

Shallypop- I don't know about Flagyl being safe but I know of sprite mixed with little salt, just be taking small small sips, no go drink all at once ooo. That was what I used for both my 1st and 2nd preggy.

I dont know much abt pregnancare. But for pvc,are u already on iron tablets,if yes continue. Did u show the pvc result to the dr or nurse? U can include ugwu, garden egg leaf, milk in ur diet. They really helped alot when my pvc was low

My Dr adviced I take balance diet. He also increased my dosage. I was taking ferrous once daily but I take it 2wice daily now. Thanks.

About Pregnacare, my Doctor ask me to continue with It, mine is Pregnacare Original, + Separate 5mg Folic acid. So I agree that you should up your folic acid. Just got back from ANC now.

I use pregnacare max that contains 400mcg folic acid and I combine it with mason natural folic acid 800mcg. So in a day I take a total of 1200mcg of folic which is safe (at least I did same for my daughter and no harm).

You can take pregnacare anytime during pregnancy and u can use any of d 3 depending on your financial capability.

Mamas pls I have a question as regards pregnacare. The matron warned us not to use it cos it does not contain d required amount of folic acid needed. Meanwhile, I've seen people testify about d efficacy of d drug. I'm thinking using d folic acid that is being given at the hospital in addition with pregnacare but I'm scared if overdose of vitamin will not harm my baby. I don't want to totally get rid of d pregnacare cos of its benefits. Heard it makes children smart.
Also my pvc is 29%. What can I do to boost it? Thanks.

I was told to stop at 34 weeks. From my research, that's because vasoprin has blood thinning effect and doctors won't want you to go into labor without the effect wearing off, this is to prevent unnecessary blood loss. You could ask the 26-weeker what his/her reasons are. Don't be confused


On another note, my baby just bam for inside belle o. 40+ weeks today. Cervical ripening/induction scheduled for next week if spontaneous labour doesn't begin.
Baby's estimated weight as at two weeks ago 3.75kg. Lord only knows what it is today.
Doctor suggested keeping an open mind CS wise.

Gained 5kg this whole pregnancy (though I wasn't skinny to begin with - 80kg) and the bulk of it is baby, placenta, amniotic fluid etc. Super sure I didn't eat junk and cravings were not even an issue for me.

Don't know whether to be scared, worried, gba kamu or what. I'm just gonna go sleep, hand everything over to God.

For now, my decision is to take another scan elsewhere if labour doesn't start before scheduled date, if same ol, same ol, I'd go for an elective CS rather than an induction that might fail (please sabi mamas chook mouth at this point ooo, if this is a good decision).

Thank u. D second gynea that told me to stop at 36 weeks is actually a specialist. So I will go with him and sabi mamas that said it's not a problem. Which ever way God wants, u will deliver safely IJN.

Vasoprin can be a preventive/ curative measure against pre emclampsia ( High PB in pregnancy). it helps for proper blood flow to the foetus. I am currently on it till 34 weeks as prescribed by my Gyno though no sign of BP but as a preventive measure..... My colleague took it till 36 weeks as prescribed by her gyno and she had a healthy baby more than 6 months ago.

I advise you go by the second doctor and use it till 36 weeks....There is no harm in taking it as advised by my Gyno.

And to the glory of God, hypertension is under control, no protein in urine and my baby and I are in perfect health.

So don't be afraid, use your medication religiously and pray to God earnestly that it works for you. We will all carry to term and deliver complication free by God's grace.

I think your doctor was being proactive. I have bin on it and currently on it. It acts as a blood thinner and advisable for women who are hypertensive.

Good evening mamas. God blessed me with d fruit of d womb after few years of ttcing. my gynea placed me on aspirin 75mg in order to reduce my risk of pre eclampsia. I haven't taken it cos I want to know how safe it is for the foetus. Pls anyone with this medication should kindly advice me. Thanks.

I know everyone thinks of Brazil and they automatically think of Rio and Sao Paulo, because these are the most famous cities in the country. However, if you want to travel to Brazil to give birth, I would personally recommend Florianópolis. It is the safest city in the country, it is a capital city in the south of the country with excellent hospitals and healthcare - even the public hospital is excellent (although it doesn't give pain relief for natural births). There is also a home birth option too which is cheaper than going to a private hospital...
