Ishilove: Where usually is the expiry date on the bottles? This was taken last year when I was trying to tell a friend. He refused listening to me. Heineken usually have it written at the back of the bottles. Just below where they tell you the content and volume of alcohol. In other brand it's usually written on the paper where the brand of the beer is located. You will find it if you look for it carefully. |
Nairaland General › Re: My Experience With A Vendor For An Expired Product by ShaqFu: 2:15pm On Nov 20, 2021 |
Ishilove: Truth be told, I didn't know beer has an expiry date You don't know because you don't really drink, it's excusable. I'm telling you those who drink constantly don't even know or care to know. Try telling them and their attitude will put you off. A whole lot of company benefit from the ignorance of Nigerians. |

musicwriter: Again, you don't understand what this topic is about. Let me see whether I can help to even help you understand what this topic is about.
Example; a so called wrongdoing in your bible, such as the SIN of fornication, is not a wrongdoing from LEGAL point of view, and therefore, is not a sin from the perspective of the law. Read that again. Nicely put my good sir. So many of them fail to understand this, as they tend to judge people who don't believe in what they believe in from that point of view. You can see how hard it is for the moniker you're debating with to comprehend what you've been saying. |
Nairaland General › Re: My Experience With A Vendor For An Expired Product by ShaqFu: 10:31am On Nov 20, 2021 |
Ishilove: Nigerians, not the Nigerian government are their own worst enemies.
At least we should be grateful that they didn't wipe off the expiry date and rebrand it like some other satanic individuals do. Ignorance and a fantastic amount of arrogance is the cause. Judging by the way Nigerians consume beer. Many still don't know beer have expiry date. Try telling them and they'll label you "I Too Know". |

Ishilove: I think leaving Nate orphaned was the surest way to derail him from the path of goodness that the father had chosen.
Buck was just a dead man walking, ready to embrace death at every turn. Such a person with nothing to lose and nothing to live for is a very dangerous person. SPOILER ALERTWell I believe he left Nate orphaned because he wanted him to grow and live in hate for him. The hatred Nate nurtured for Buck made him what he is, an outlaw, though kind of like like a Robin Hood. So, I'll say there's much good in Nate. Remember he robbed a bank without killing anybody. I'll say Trudy Smith is way more fvcked up than either Nate Love and Rufus Buck. Atleast we know both Nate and Buck went through a very damaged childhood but not Trudy, that woman is one big case of a very disturbed mind. Whoever wrote the movie have a very weird imagination. Coming up with those fvcked up characters... |

Ishilove: The Harder They Fall.
I didn't see that end coming. Rather sad.
At the end Buck is also a victim, in a warped and perverse way. SPOILER ALERTHe happened to be the biggest victim of all. What I kinda like about him is that when his karma came, he embraced and accepted it. I didn't quite get why he shot Nate Love's mum in the first place. The end scene made me understand it very well. |

Karleb: You know, much has been said about how those around wouldn't help one like Davido's friends did but they question begging for an answer is, how valuable are these helpee to their helpers.
Many of them won't greet you, won't reach out, won't care, won't add any value directly or indirectly to you but will cry foul when you decline to help them due to one reason or the other.
I firmly believe, before you can request help from someone you must have helped them one way or the other. You said it. I've been saying it that what many Nigerians suffer from is entitled mentality. I still believe value is key here. If you're asking for help, you must put yourself in a place to offer value, that is to be able to give something back (not necessarily money or pussy). One just can't feel because Mr A. is my friend and he has money, he should give me money whenever I ask him. This warp mentality of ours is really dealing a very heavy blow on the society. Some will even put it arrogantly that Mr. A. is successful yet, he hasn't given back to society. Shey na by force? The society that never gave Mr. A anything, he should now give back to the same society. Bro this entitled mentality is really causing very serious damage. |

VerifiedStalin: One Shot (2021)
10 minutes into the film, I realized "One Shot" is not only the name of the film, but it's also the film’s camera gimmick. Basically, the whole film was shot in one continuous take, no cuts, just one continuous pan of the camera from one scene to another, a la '1917 (2019)'. The film is essentially twenty minutes of talk followed by seventy minutes of pretty much non-stop action held together by a fancy camera gimmick; it works because it's really mesmerizing, it kept me invested in the action scenes and the basic plot from beginning till end. Scott Adkins is there. |
