Tech junior is 1.1 kva while tech bobo is 2.2 kva, simply put tech bobo has twice the capacity of tech junior. Both are fuel economical but you know tech junior being lower in capacity uses less fuel just like a 10 year old child does not eat as much food as you eat. Tech junior will carry the things you stated above but I will advise you buy tech bobo if you have the money. You might add more items to your house later as you know we always pray to go higher. PPMC is a subsidiary under NNPC. The salary and upfront is the same NNPC scale. The only difference in salaries among subsidiaries is just certain allowances that some SBU collect because of the nature of their job. E.g if you are in NPDC and NAPIMS you might be going offshore. This offshore allowance will be the difference in your salary

Sorry you don't know how DPR works. For the engineers, be ready to be posted to Warrior, Port Harcourt or Lagos. Some of u guys in downstream will be posted to terminal operations which means u will be working 1 week offshore and 1 week time off all to yourself but if u are posted to terminal operations in PH, u will be working 2 weeks offshore and 2 weeks time off. If you are posted to upstream u will still be working offshore with time off but not on permanent basis like terminal operations because u will still be reporting to office. The good thing abt terminal operations is that u can stay anywhere since you are not office staff, u can stay in Abuja and be working in Warri.

You are wrong bro.. You don't get posted until you have accepted the offer. In some cases you don't get posted until after induction. In most cases after you recieve/accept your letter a date for resumption would be communicated to you. This date would also be the day you start your induction.

I will disagree with you on no 4 because DPR do post successful candidates based on performance in test and interview and the posting will reflect on your APL. In fact you report to where you are posted not even DPR headquarter.

It is all about luck my man as the interview varies from person to person. In my own case, I was asked only 3 technical questions which I answered to the best of my knowledge, no current affairs in the same PH venue but I applied for GT may be you applied as EH. Let's pray for God's favour no matter how the interview went.

I was asked basic thermodynamics questions on adiabatic process and other stuff . I simply, honestly answered I don't know. Didnt want to guess and fumble.

Then rate of heat flow through a cylinder and sphere, are they the same? Answered correctly, NO!

Give 2 examples each of High distillate, intermediate distillate and light distillate. Answered partially correctly. One of the interviewers helped me complete the intermediate distillate, that's why I said partially.

Governor of Zamfara State: I froze. Couldn't remember.
Governor of Kano state: answered correctly. They wanted first name and surname. I was dropping surnames only. Then they asked for Gov of Lagos' first name, I couldn't remember. I apologised for being nervous. And truly I was nervous. Chief Justice of the Federation. Couldn't remember.

Leaders of house of reps and their deputies. I answered correctly.

I was asked to name six people my job affects on the rig (I'm a drilling fluids engineer), so I answered correctly.

They asked some questions on drilling fluids. They started lecturing me on how thermodynamics applies to Drilling fluids engineering. I listened keenly and was receptive, so they know I'm teachable.

They asked what's common to the North East, Niger Delta and South East. I guess it's Barite. Didn't want to guess. I honestly answered I dunno to some questions.

I was bombarded with questions.

They also asked how many states I've lived in. Mentioned quite a lot.

PH interviewers weren't smiling.


P.S. I'm a Chemical Engineering applicant with experience in Drilling Fluids Engineering (which is a subset of Petroleum Engineering). I tried to steer them to my comfort zone, but they kept it CHEM ENG!

Very possible, there were 2 people from a local government in a state in d last recruitment. Even the 2 of them are engineers (electrical and mechanical)

All EH will be placed at the same level higher than GT which will all also be at the same level. But there will be little differences in salary among EH at d same level being earned allowances based on ur department. Same thing apply to GT

It was advertised around when the GT/EH was advertised. My Boss applied, wrote the exam at Kaduna and had the interview at Rockview Hotel in Abuja at the time we were having ours at Grand Cubana Hotel.
Placement in the civil service are considered based on your qualifications and years of experience. So, all EH cannot be placed at the Same grade level.

I might be wrong....but a friend that missed her interview went there today and was asked to choose between Lagos and Abuja that "PH ended yesterday".Dpr officials even asked her if she will use the road or Air. She said road and was given 5k. As I type now she is already in Abuja.

All EH will be placed on the same level, likewise all GT will be placed on the same level a little below EH. But there will be difference in salary among EH and also GT being allowances based on ur department. E.g offshore allowance for those in terminal operation. Lastly no matter ur department, the pay is attractive. So focus on getting d job b4 the salary

Whether u are EH or GT, u do the same job. The only difference is little difference in salary as EH salaries are a bit higher than GT. I'm sure of this for Engineers working in the field but don't know for other disciplines because I only work with DPR Engineers
