When is NCDC going to release the number of people tested across the country and the percentage of contacts to those tested they have traced? No talk about that. A den of Liars and thieves.

ThierryJay:The President is talking Abuja and Lagos. Heck, there is a case in Rivers State. If there was no testing done in Lagos and Abuja, we would not know the gravity. There is no testing Lab in Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross River, Akwa Ibom and I think Delta. Before feeding and waving loans, these should be addressed. Kits should be addressed. You need masks around the country. You need sanitizers. We need to disinfect the cities and rural communities regularly. I doubt we have enough funds for that to channel money for school feeding programme. |
ThierryJay:I am not saying it is not in order. However, priority. The speech today is a first line of action. Not relief. You know, if he is a leader who addresses the people daily or at least 3 times a week, that can come later. Today, we need the basics handled. Testing, Isolation, treatment, food supply chain, medical supply chain, kits for health workers, medicine. Innovative means of stopping immediate spread When these pick up, he can talk of palliatives. But first, the above require humongous amount of money when it concerns protecting the lives of millions of people. School feeding and loans is not a priority when he has not calculated how much it will cost to set up multiple testing centres across the country and isolation procedures. If you imagine how much it will cost to test across the Nation in the coming days, you will understand the gravity. |
Pacesetter123:Sense? How? Do you know over 50 doctors have died in Italy? We need talk of a strategy to provide safety kits for health care workers. We need an indepth study of the mistakes Italy made in care delivery and not repeat it. What about safety masks for Citizens across the Nation. Sanitizers. The essentials come first before school feeding. We need food chain to continue from the farms to the markets. These people will be like soldiers going to the war front. They need to be trained and kitted to keep them alive. |
I am serious. The central government has failed. We need to hold the LGA chairmen and governors to make innovative steps. The hierarchy in Abuja are lost and do not know what to do. |
My head is spinning. Councillors and LGA chairmen, Community leaders need to wake up and act. Help is not coming. Especially those in the South-South region. Chi-ne-ke. |
We need a team studying innovative testing kits coming out and see how to broker deals with them. We need another studying treatment report. We need a team setting up isolation centres. Prepare for the worst while hoping for the best. This man should not get elected as a community leader but he is the President of the most populous black nation. |
Shattuck:Lawd. My Jaw dropped when he was reading A....... B...... C...... Chineke. Who did we offend? |
He is not talking of setting up a medical strategic response team of medical intellectuals who will bring innovative schemes of tackling this head on. We need a Covid-19 temporary agency that will come up with different lines of actions. From testing groups to treatment, to isolation. God. Why was I born among such dumb people. Nations are taking proactive steps and we are being ruled by Covik 1-9. |
God, Nigeria needs help. No testing until now in large numbers when it concerns the greatest threat to humanity. The President is more interested in school feeding programme than coming up with a strategy to save lives. He is talking Lagos and Abuja. He buys every lie he is fed because he is sorry to say it a dumb person. The only way to know the magnitude of what we are dealing with is widespread testing across the Nation. It will cost a lot. The earlier the better. We also need lots of medical supplies. Countries are stockpiling drugs and we are looking for school feeding programme. Our rulers need to be stoned. |
Just listened to a pile of Crap from the President. No talk about improved testing. Instead he is talking of children feeding. No talk about safety kits for the citizens. Instead he is talking about loans. Loans for which business that are in lockdown? What Nigeria needs is testing kits to know the magnitude of spread. Then isolate those who test positive and treat them. Please someone should inform the President that the first line of defence against the virus is not social distancing but widespread tests. |
How can we win the fight against Covid-19 when we are only testing small girls and their big gods? Senselessness is when you tell big god and his babes to go for test and tell common man to practice social distancing and using sanitizers. |
kikero:It seems we forget that most of the elites have workers. From drivers, to aides. It is proven that Covid-19 spreads fast. Very fast. We can not expect only those who came in by air and a few contacts is enough to check the spread. We need to spread our testing to know the magnitude of what is going on. From the way it spread among the elites, definitely, there is a big chance it is spreading among non-elites. Which is a recipe for disaster. |
Angelfrost:At least loads here on this forum are educated to an extent but the same myopic idiocy runs through them. The failure is from our mentality. If not the top will not use us to play ludo. |
adebayo987:The fooling is The Nigerian people. Little to no testing and everyone is acting like everything is all right. |
Angelfrost:We can talk about the stupidity of the government, but what about the stupidity of the people feeling coronavirus is God fighting for us. Imagine such idiocy. Jack Ma and some people donated testing kits, these people diverted it for the elites. The spread is much and they are testing and treating themselves. The treatment is out. They will be all right. The problem is those not being tested. Nigerians should wake up from their stupidity because they are duller than Buhari and his team |
Mrs. Iweala will not warn that Nigeria must start testing in large number. It is public gathering that is their problem. |
I do not care about the names of the so called Big gods infected. I care about the number of people being tested, and the spread. We need the report of the testing process, the methodology and results. We need to know the national line of actions. Not all Nigerians are fools not to know what is going on. They are testing themselves to keep themselves alive and filing us with zee world drama story like it matters. Those detected are not the problem, but those not tested that are spreading it. |
They are ramping up production to deliver 50,000 ID NOW COVID-19 tests per day, beginning next week, to the U.S. healthcare system. They are aiming at testing 50,000 a day while I doubt since the outbreak in Nigeria started we have tested up to 10,000 people. Joke of a Nation. If it is Buhari, they will open their mouths to abuse. See the NCDC, with the billions at their disposal, they are still playing with people's lives. |
Look at the bloody lie from Lai Mohammed. Then he will have face to call himself a big man when he is just a hypocritical liar. By February, he said we were ready Until now, we still have few testing labs all over the country. Everybody is crying for Chioma has Covid-19. What about those untested who are possibly spreading it as we talk. Nigeria is such a National tragedy. I repeat. The Commissioner of health Lagos, Minister of Health and Lai Mohammed would have been sacked if we were in a sane society.

El Rufai has virus, Abba Kyari has Covid-19, is that what we will eat? Stupid people. We should have Quarantined people coming in from risk regions since January. But, no the so called ogas who have achieved nothing but Stealing money decided to risk the lives of millions. Now there is a possible treatment. Until now, we have very few testing labs. Only the so called Big gods and their girlfriends are getting tested. Every one is keeping quiet while we are sitting on a time bomb. |
Why are there no testing centres in the Niger Delta region? All the money surviving this nation is coming from there. Yet NCDC and the Federal Government want to leave them to their fate. I am so disappointed in this failed nation. |
There is a possible solution for treatment but it is of no use if we are not testing in large amount. What is wrong with leaders of this country. Are they all dumb? Even the NCDC are playing around with this thing. I tire. |
What is the N15 Billion naira and others donated by other Nigerians for? Are these NCDC people still Stealing money? We need health centres rapidly across the Nation to check mate the spread by knowing the gravity of things. |
If it is to collect oil money, the Federal Government is ready to flex their muscles to collect money from the region. Until now, I am yet to hear of testing labs in the Niger Delta region. Yet, they are collecting money from the region to protect and save the loss of others. This is beyond evil. Maybe they do not know that if the virus explodes in the Niger Delta region, all efforts to curb the virus is futile. Useless people. |
THE National Emergency Management Agency has urged the Federal Government to establish coronavirus testing centres in the South-South. NEMA Zonal Coordinator, Walson Brandon, said the testing centres would fast-track the healing of any patient with the disease. Brandon, who spoke with reporters in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, said the few testing centres in the country would not be enough to tackle the virus. He said having testing centres in the zone would urgently give a picture of the situation inside the communities as far as the fight against coronavirus was concerned. Brandon said, “States like Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Cross River do not have testing centres and this is why we are appealing to the Federal Government to create testing centres in the zone )South-South). “The testing centres will quicken the process of healing as taking samples of suspected patient to a distance place for testing will delay their healing. Again, the creation of testing centres in the zone will quickly give us a picture of what is happening in the communities.” Brandon said NEMA was collaborating with (state) ministries of health and information to step up preparedness and response activities, adding that the agency was also partnering World Health Organisation to provide essential medical supplies to the states in the zone. He said, “In Rivers State, test kits and ventilators are needed by health workers to rightly respond to COVID-19 with urgency and purpose. The public is urged to call the Emergency Number 112 at any point of distress.” https://punchng.com/nema-seeks-covid-19-testing-centres-in-ssouth/?amp=1 |
God bless The geniuses who saved tomorrow. |
Much respect to Dr. Vladimir Zelenko.

Much respect to Dr. Didier Raoult.

Mine is the way the media fought against the hydroxychloroquine, Azithromycin and zinc treatment. Like heck, wait for the trials to get concluded before criticising it. French government banning the treatment and then unbanning it. |
We can not forget the sacrifice. To all health professionals, the military, police and volunteers who fought the good fight. We are eternally grateful to you all. After we defeat the virus, we will start the fight against the evil ones who prioritise their greed over the essentials of humanity. The virus will pass but the lesson lives on. |
