Thank God the prophet didnt force the guy to change his name to Joshua unlike the greedy mallam that helped Celestine and Emmanuel and converted them to Babayeros
Celestine and Emmanuel Babayaro, were ophans rasised by a man who housed them, fed them and even schooled them. Babayaro means father of child, a nick name given to the man after adopting so many kids, This man lives in kaduna state, This man isnt a mallam neither is he a muslim, he is from kaduna south. Yet your ignorance makes you write such on a public forum, hmmmm, A man who adopts orphans and takes care of them has now become greedy mallam (probably because you think he is an hausa/muslim man).
Moral of my post
You have been living a life of ignorance all your life, you have never known anything, you dont know anything and you will never know anything but spread selfish, derogatory, biased and unhealthy religiously inclined and tribalistic statement. The guy was an alter boy doesnt mean he was adopted by TB, so what is greedy about the babyaro guy, sighs, Dear God please distant me from those who use tribe and religion to judge themselves,

BusinessRe: CBN To Begin Investigating Any Bank Transactions From 250k?? by shawn123: 11:32am On Nov 05, 2009
hailolive:
'Politically exposed'

The regulations, published on the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) website, now require banks to report large movements of cash between accounts if one of them belongs to a "Politically Exposed Person".

POLITICALLY EXPOSED PEOPLE
Heads of State
State governors
Politicians and government officials
Local government chairmen
Senior executives of state owned corporations
Important political party officials
Judicial officers
Soldiers
Members of Royal Families
Anyone related to, or associated with, "Politically Exposed People"
These are defined as former heads of state, politicians, local government chairmen, court officials, soldiers and members of royal families.

Many "Politically Exposed People" are major shareholders or directors in Nigeria's banks.

Under the regulations, the identity of anyone making a transaction above 250,000 naira ($1651, £1013) must be checked.

The CBN has a list of "red flag" suspicious transactions that it says should trigger investigations.

But a BBC reporter in Nigeria says the people behind corruption and money-laundering in Nigeria will already be working out ways around the regulations.

This is targeted at Politicians only and not the common civilian/businessmen
thanks jare, Naija people are always whinning, Yar'a dull we said he hasnt done anything., this i pretty much agree, now sanusi dey do they will still shout, what exactly do you guys want ?? so many solutions to one different question. Instead of shouting and going negative why dont we wait and see if it works. This is Nigeria where Nigerians plus government dont let things work! I dont really see anything wrong in this move, its done every where!
BusinessRe: CBN To Begin Investigating Any Bank Transactions From 250k?? by shawn123: 11:23am On Nov 05, 2009
you people sef, check the central bank constitution before you start shouting. The CBN has the right to set limit and monitor monetary transactions in any of the banks. They are the regulatory body and hence set the rules for the banks. Initially by law all transactions above 1 million naira is to be reported to CBN, this has been there all the while but not practiced. However i also think 250k is too little for monitoring but the CBN has the right to set limits and monitor contrary to what some people on this board are saying!

@shawn, you might want to take note, homos dont really care about you, not to talk of if you are allergic to them or not. you should also note that gay is not taken as offensive anymore by homos, gays, homos, gays, queer, the more the merrier, nobody really cares Tongue. dont think by rattling out some homophobic sentiments it'd make you score any additional points, sorry brother. most homos are more of a man than you would ever become. it's not every sissy that is a homo, not every homo is a sissy. and who the hell gives you the right to decide what is natural and what is not?

@XLAD21,
how unintelligent of you, Anyways i dont really wanna argue with you, jus like i said am allergic to gays, Aslo i really dont want to start a bitch war cos am a dude and i love being a dude, am proud am a dude so i dont fight bitch wars but i fight real wars, so pipe down and go do your nails or go G-string shopping k?
Nairaland GeneralRe: What Are Your Views On Homosexuality? by shawn123: 10:28am On Nov 03, 2009
@Agatha:
when something is wrong it is wrong, i personally dont support encouraging them by saying yeah they can get married etc. Seeing two guys kissing is quite repulsive and am sure most people here would testify to that. You see there are laws which must govern a country, society, clan and people. We cant keep labelling wrong as right just for mere satisfaction of people involved in this act. I would love to own a million dollars, but then i know robbing a bank is wrong, i wouldnt rob a bank and say because i derive satisfaction from robbing that bank it should be right to rob a bank.
Also hepatitis is one of the disease obtained from this sodom act just so you know.
Now i wonder if we start obstructing the natural laws of life, how do babies come by, artificial sexual child building only leads to abnormality just like cloning. If you say you dont believe in God or Religion and you believe in science, then the western way it is for you. But ironically the western science says LIKE CHARGES REPEL AND UNLIKE CHARGES ATTRACT, Do we then change this scientific laws to satisfy this negligible beings fantasies. Ponder on that dearie,
Nairaland GeneralRe: What Are Your Views On Homosexuality? by shawn123: 9:03pm On Nov 02, 2009
@Agatha: funny amongst all in favour of homosexulism, i couldnt help notice your post about your sister. You are angry at religion right? Lets leave religion out of this for now, i understand the paint you felt or still feel.
I didnt have to be told that homosexulism is wrong by anyone really, its a natural feeling from birth. No one really ever talked about it to me as a child but truth be told it is like the most disgusting thing i think exists today. I think its also unfair to any child that grows up to homo parents cos he hasnt been given a chance to choose. If they want to make this legal, then i assume they should find a way of getting pregnant and having their own babies, Forget religion even the traditionalist (Ifa, Ogun, etc) would tell u its an unnatural act, i wld even term is as evil, its jus naturally disgusting , let nature take its coarse it cant be changed dear,

hey guys, what is it with this sharia thing used to describe sanusi, if you guys are this tribalistic and use religion to judge then i guess you all are as brainless as him, not saying you are brainless o but if you judge people like that then am soo scared of everybody in this country.

Now back to the post, what the hell does he mean by he is the cbn governor and he deserves some respecthuhhuh Can someone please tell this cbn governor that we respect is earned and not deservedhuh? Also Nigeria's economy should not be compared to that of South Africa, we should be struggling to get to Ghana's level (sadly) before mentioning that of South Africa.

Christianity EtcRe: Christians Should Learn The Language In Which The Bible Was Revealed. by shawn123: 4:53pm On Oct 06, 2009
@Vavavoom:
Truth be told you are well educated, you know alot about every religion but i was almost impressed with some things you know about Islam, believe me its fabricated, am not saying you fabricated it but most people i find cant really argue about Islam because they dont know much about it. You i gather have gotten your informations from probably different angles and compiled together.
You have said a lot but, from the things i can remember: Women who cover themselves in Hijab, especially those who wear those with little holes for the eyes are not forced to do that. The have decided themselves that this is my path, just the same way we have nuns in christianity. Islam has given rules in dressing for women, simple places that need not be exposed and covering the hair except indoors at home.

Also the most disappointing is your quote ''Muslims often claim that Islam is "a religion of peace". This is not true. There are some passages in the Koran which suggest this (presumably in the suras delivered before Muhammad's new religion ran into significant opposition) but later passages suggest that recalcitrant unbelievers should be dealt with harshly''.

Dude you need to quote the chapter and verse, this my friend is a blunt lie , it is not true. Even if we were not around in the past at least we all know there is only one copy of the koran in circulation so whatever chapter or verse you quote here is the same world wide. I give you the honour of prooving me wrong just give the verse and chapter that says that and remember if you are giving a line from the koran dont break them quote the full sentence,
Christianity EtcRe: Christians Should Learn The Language In Which The Bible Was Revealed. by shawn123: 12:52pm On Oct 06, 2009
@funken: if you do know history and present, In Nigeria alone there are thousands of people who have memorised the quran as a whole. It didnt even have to be written on skin, animals, stones etc. This is why the muslims insist on the original context as arabic cos you can change a word in it, even if you do change an alphabet it changes the whole meaning completely.

I also read that the quran was compiled during the time of prophet mohammad and not during the caliphate of Abu Bakr. I have never heard of any copies of other koran in my whole research, Probably to make you understand , its like saying the usual Christian prayer '' our father who art in heaven'' is read differently, it can only be read the way it is.
Also the beginning of your story quotes ''That is
what Islamic historians themselves bequeathed to us'' no names or referal, people need facts, dates and publication friend. I need someone who knows about these books very well. It is advice able to learn the both the koran and bible and know about them before arguing because people need facts and misleading for me is in my books of sin , lol, However funken please give publications, website address etc and dont just post articles,
