Nice point you have there. But i will tell you something i do know. The very first 20 yrs of my life was spent in the north part of Nigeria. So trust me i know all there is to know about that part of the country. Also i pass through Katsina once a month as i have a site there and its kind of mandatory for me to go there every month ( part of my job). I will tell you and am sure any one who has been there recently would tell you same. The town is alot different, you dont  need to go far. From the entrance you would notice. Its not just paved roads, what was dust back then has been tared, a professional job not what we are used to seeing.
All the schools have new structures plus staff houses. The trip is that this state gets the list allocation in Nigeria from the Federal Government and still was able to do all this. Now what would you say about states like Delta, Edo and the rests with the highest allocation and the governors have nothing to show for it. Honestly if truth be told, that man worked in Katsina. What is needed there now is management. Would you believe that in the 8 years he spent in that state, he was one one the easisest individual to see, the government house gate was wide opened all all one wld need to do is walk right in and you are guaranteed to see him. Considering the fact that Katsina has high level of illiteracy, the first female doctor in Katsina is still in her 40s what would you expect a wise governor to do for his people. Its build school, school and school and thats all he did. Lastly have you been to the state university? Did you know that Obasanjo thought one of the secondary schools in Katsina was the state university until he was told, during his visit to katsina as president. My advice still is go and see for yourself.

Their maternity mortality rates is the lowest in Nigeria because they hav a zero mortality policy and well trained and equiped traditional birth attendants, so no matter which village a woman lives her pregnancy is monitored till and after her time of birth. In some cases of extreme complications, pregnant women have been taken to referral hospitals ith bills footed by the Government of then Governor Yaradua.
Highest rate of girl child school enrolment this achieved through advocacy and sensitization of grassroot citizens personaaly handled by hisife in partnership with NGOs. we orked ith her during the advocacy campains and i was stunned by their level of commitement to their people. Most firstladies pay lipservic to these issues but she was the only Governors wife that followed us round the state local governmnts and villages, personaal supervised enrolment of school children, in some villages seeing her alone the villagers would bring their kkids put for enrolment.
I can go on and on at the risk of sounding like a campain manger, plase people learn to get your facts straight or simly shut up

i dont know about all these facts about t.v series of who invented what, the truth is from a normal point of view. UK is soooooo boring, you shouldnt compare uk to the states its like comparing Sudan to South Africa.

There are so many kids in the north and even in the rural areas of the south that can not even go to the hospital when they get sick. I was at UCH in Ibadan recently and i literally shed tears listening to what some Doctors are saying about what sick people can afford to pay for medical expenses. They had to take up collections for some patients. I know some of the western media over sensationalize their story about Africa but some worrisome things do happen. Some kids are fixated on the same diets day in and day out. The salvation of any nation begins with an honest evaluation of the state of that nation. Let us not be afraid to air our dirty laundry they can only get better when we open them up.

dude get your facts right before your yap, People are not starving in the north: In katsina state for example, maleria treatment is free, antinatal free, prenatal free, hypetytis free. 50% of all surgery are paid by the government. Am not a northerner but i tell you most people in Lagos dont know nothing about the north because they have never left Lagos before. I have worked in different parts of Nigeria and i do know you are far from the truth. Look a friend of mine had to wait for summer to come to Nigeria to get his teeth filled, becaus he had to pay alot more in Atlanta to see a dentist, so get the picture everywhere has an advantage and disadvantage.
