katolistic:Congrats bro |
hakeembee:@ hakeembee. The webinar is nothing serious. I had same some weeks ago. You'll just be listening to a prof in d dept who will give, not just u, but as many attendees/participants of the meeting orientation about the course as well as answer several questions that'll be asked by participants of the meeting who are prospective students like you. The meeting is always an 1hr long and you'll need a good internet to join the meeting. I hope I've been able to answer your ?s |
phemmisky:No application fee for masters prog in the University of Tartu...Jus go ahead and post ur docs asap. |
brayan124:@UniTartu. May 13 latest |
hakeembee:@jeffoe and @hakeembee. I understand ur plight. Issues like this could be really frustrating. Unfortunately, there's lil we can do about it. I can't count the no of mails I sent to UAF as well as the calls I made when my transcripts were rejected. We just av to move on. Also, I was able to read past pages of this thread where guys like @Olabode who applied to LUT last year didn't get admitted cos UAF sent their docs to LUT as being 'incomplete'. I just hope same feat ain't done again to present guys whom UAF told that the universities they applied to like Oulu has d final decision on d authencity of their docs. All in all, let's just trust God for the best response. |
Donald Trump, a front-line US presidential contender blast Nigeria for claiming to be giant of Africa. One of The highest producer of crude oilin Africa without nothing tangible to show for it. 56 years after independence, Nigerian leaders stillcan’t deliver“ordinary” electricity, water, home-refined petroleum products, transportation – road, rail, water and air – infrastructure. Here’s a quote from Donald Trump, a front-line US presidential contender:“Look at African countries like Nigeria or Kenya for instance, those people are stealing from their own government and go to invest the money in foreign countries. From the government to the opposition, they onlyqualify to be used asa case study whenever bad examples are required. How do you trust even those who have run away to hide here in the United States, hidingbehind education? I hear they abuse me in their blogs but I don’t care because even the internet they are using is ours and we can decide to switch it off from this side. These are people who import everything including matchsticks. In my opinion, most of these African countries [like Nigeria] ought to be recolonized again for another 100 years because they know nothing about leadership and self-governance.” Pls, let's share this because it is just the absolute truth. http://www.post-nigeria.com/donald-trump-throws-heavy-blow-at-nigerian-leaders/ |
hakeembee:I don't agree with ur 'racism' point of view. 3copies of my transcript were rejected because the envelopes used to send them were first stamped before being sealed. At first I also tot they were racists. But when I rectified this ish with my school's transcript officers and new copies of my transcript were sent, UAF accepted all the 3 new copies because they were sent appropriately(sealing the envelopes first before stamping). As regards ur ish, how will u expect UAF to accept ur transcripts when they were being enveloped by the courier service and not ur school..Is courier service same as ur awarding institution as expected by UAF. Ur school, not any courier service, is meant to envelope the transcript. I believe if all necessary steps are followed by ur school officials who send the transcripts, UAF will not reject ur transcripts. |
holythug:Which school did u apply to? Was it stated when you were applying that candidates for your course wud be interviewed? This is because not all schools conduct interviews |
maestrojay:I'm sorry but those plans have been implemented already and will be fully engaged from the next application period(Dec 2016). This exempts those who applied during the last application that was just concluded, that is, those who will be resuming by August 2016. I even heard that some schools will be charging €10,000 for tuition fee. |
Bandeco:Skype |
For those who will be having their interviews anytime soon, Please find attached interview questions I got from guys that were interviewed last year on this page. These questions helped my preps towards my interview with Oulu last Tuesday. Other additional questions I was asked were: What's the most important thing in your life, why did I choose Oulu/Finland, tell us about your undergraduate studies. Please prepare well, be bold, look smart and get a good network... We go all meet for Finland by God's grace. Amen

hakeembee:Which course did u apply for? |
CPGdesigns:Rumors, rumors and rumors.....Kilode Until NYSC and the DG in particular officially announce it, I choose not to believe. |
jkels:Software, Systems and Service Development in the Global Environment |
Bosses in the house, I greet you oo. Pls I got a mail today from University of Oulu notifying me of an interview I'll be having with their admission committee next week via Skype. Pls I'll like to know the possible questions they'll ask me, what and what I should be expecting and how I should prepare for the interview. Tanks. |
misspetit:Same here |

phemmisky:@phemmisky. I got the acknowledgment mail one month after filling and submitting my application. As long as you have submitted the application online, having uploaded all necessary docs and have mailed all necessary docs to Tartu, you'll get the acknowledgment mail asap...Just chill. |
jeffoe:Also, inform your school to send the official copy of your transcript to them and not the certified true copy coz I think that is another reason y they're rejecting it |
jeffoe:Was the receipt of your test score the only new document acknowledged in this particular mail. If yes, then I believe they have not yet processed your new transcript considering the fact that they have not yet acknowledged your degree cert too. But still try call them to confirm coz time is already elapsing. |
mavinc4u:It is clearly stated on your application form that all your docs MUST be sent to TUT. This is because TUT is not one of the schools under UAF. They process their applications differently and by the way, you didn't apply to TUT on the UAF platform. Lemme also assume you didn't see the same TUT address which was printed multiple times on your application form. In fact, it's also stated on the TUT website that all documents must be sent to TUT. It'll do you good to read all necessary information carefully when applying to whatever programmes and schools. If you applied to TUT, you need to send your docs to TUT not UAF. |
jeffoe:I also got this mail sometime last December. UAF bounced 3 copies of my transcript. The issue was from my university's transcript officer coz they put the stamp before sealing the envelope. I had to send new ones to UAF again and this time around, I had to personally guide d officer-in-charge on how to send d transcripts. Fortunately, UAF accepted the new copies I sent the 2nd time. So I'll advise you to do the same. Don't consider the cost coz I spent 33,000 sending 3 copies of my transcript to UAF. Sending the 2nd time totalled 66,000. Lastly, send it asap coz the earlier the better so u can know how far. |
mavinc4u:Yea. Those are the different steps involved when filling the application form. Also, you need to write an English profiency exam like Toefl, IELTS or PTE before applying coz it's a requirement. |
Another question I want to mail my documents this week and I need to know if I'm to staple the application form which is 7-10 pages together. Note: I mean just the application form, not the documents/required enclosures. |
Growingboi:Thanks. Will do that. |
