No one needs to win in the core north, but trust south east wont vote in mass for APC as they did for GEJ in 2011

Honestly, Tinubu is the best bet for APC now. Otherwise they are heading for a massive defeat. Tinubu has political structures in the north unlike all the other aspirants in APC and south is for him when all the featherweights are removed. He is also a political strategist who can outwit Atiku, none of the others have the political strength required to defeat Atiku. And he has equal war chest if not more than Atiku. I hope APC can see the handwriting on the wall. The die is cast.

The sad reality is that a southerner since 2003 has never won majority votes in the core northern states. Buhari won Obj in core northern states in 2003 and also defeated Jonathan in core northern states in 2011 and 2015. An average northerner will vote a Nothern Muslim over a Southern candidate, it’s just their way. The only way the south can give them a run is if the entire south is United and vote in one direction; it happened in 2011 for Jonathan, he won all states in the southern part except Osun. Anything other than that, no southerner can defeat a northerner in the core northern states; it won’t happen;

The only way the South can match the North in election contest is if the Yoruba and Igbo try to come together, forget the north has population, we are much more populated than they are down south. Imagine a Igbo as president and Yoruba as vice or vice-versa?

Only a United South can defeat the North. GEJ and Obj proved this in 2011 and 2003 respectively even though majority of the Northern votes went to Buhari on both occasions. It will be extremely difficult for Tinubu or any Southern candidate to win against a northerner without getting majority votes from the entire south. Never trust northerners to leave their own and work with an outsider, it clearly doesn’t happen.
