I don't understand you, he was supposed to update the TOC and send to me not the other way round. My preferred means of communication was and remains emails even when I use writers in any part of the world, why should I make an exception to him?

I am not sure why you are defending him but in my books if you promised to finish a job within 3 weeks and you did not deliver despite being paid in advance is fraud.

If his best means of communication was whatspp then there was clealy a mismatch in which case he should not have collected my advance payment at all.

Before payment he was responsive to his mails but suddenly remembered WhatsApp after he got his advance, even then did he need WhatsApp to complete the work? Right now the work is useless and no longer relevant. Time has made the work useless to me.

The same mail he claimed he couldn't track was the same the one he went to extract just one part of the emails.

As soon as he saw a mismatch in communication he should have refunded. So tell me how this is not fraud?

classick:

As I cited earlier, miscommunication was the major problem between you two. Why didn't you forward the updated TOC to his WhatsApp as he requested? What's the big deal in doing so?

What would you also call a person that accused someone of disappearing after he collected payment, when the person did not?

He sent you an email after that did he not? He even dropped his WhatsApp number in the email so you could forward the updated TOC to him.

I still don't see what the big deal is.

For someone who was given a job to do around November, didn't deliver even now in March, please give another name for such a person.

classick:

Sir, going by the screenshots Amechi posted here, it is clear he tried to reach out to you after you had paid him the initial sum of N14,000. This shows that you have lied against him by saying he disappeared after he collected the money.

As far as I can tell, the only issue here is communication. You preferred emails, he preferred WhatsApp.

As he asked that you send the TOC to his WhatsApp so he can begin work, I think you should have done so. After all, if you have the time to come here to slander his name, it means you also had the time to send him a WhatsApp message. Problem solved abi?

Your book would've been ready long ago.

As I told Mr Magodoro, Amechi has written for me on many occasions, and he has never failed. He's even currently writing an e-book for me as we speak.

He's a hot-head no doubt, but not a fraudster.

If only I had seen this message before I engaged the services of this guy.

I bought into his nairaland posting also and I gave him a book to write since November, 2020, this is March 2021, up till now he has not been able to come up with an outline talkless of writing the eBook. Against my better sense of judgement against paying upfront, he made me pay you an advance of 14k after which he practically went AWOL and has since refused to respond to my emails.

magodoro:
Amechi Okoli (amech213) is a fraudulent writer who poses as a professional.

When I hired this guy for article writing, he insisted that I paid him before doing the job. But I was skeptical and rejected his request.

He later agreed to write and receive the payment after submission.

About 2 or 3 weeks later, after we've done several articles together, he suddenly decided that he won't write again until I made payment upfront. His reason was that I asked him about the progress of an article (24 hours after assigning it to him), and told him that his proposed submission time was late — when I haven't made initial payments.

I was surprised at his action. But I agreed to make the payment before he gets on with the job because I needed the article within that period.

He asked me to make an advance payment of N15,000 and balance him N7,000 on completion.

But I wasn't comfortable with this, so I decided to make a first payment of N4,400 (for 2 articles) and gradually disburse the funds as he submits the articles.

We both agreed to this payment plan, then I transferred the funds to him. Little did I know that Amechi had a hidden motive.

He delivered one article but refused to send the other. He then blocked me on Whatsapp because I was requesting for the other article.

He promises to deliver the article each time I call, but never did. I sent him bank account details (via SMS) to refund the money but he has refused.

It's been days now and Amechi has neither delivered the article nor refund my money.

Somebody please talk to this fraudulent writer.

...................

Update:

After days of confrontation, he unblocked me, sent the article, then blocked me again. This means that he doesn't care if I need corrections or not.

Think twice if you're thinking of paying this fraudulent Amechi Okoli (amech213) before he does any job for you.

Shouting here will not change the fact that that this the March and a job you were given to work on before November is yet undone.
As the email you referenced stated, all my official communication are done via emails because I communicate with various writers vendors all the time and the only way I can remember our last correspondence is to refer to the email thread. As a matter of fact, all our communications were done via email before I paid the advance and during that period, you were able to track your emails until of course your advance was paid and suddenly you are no longer able to track emails.
The fact of the matter is, events have overtaken that content and it is no longer relevant. November to March is a long time.
If you are a honorable man, woman, boy or girl, you would have since completed the work and sent it to the customer’s preferred means of communication which in my case remains emails. In anycase, you can also decide to refund the money if you are really credible.
If any of you thinks this is his first time, then perhaps you may want to see a previous allegation again him here https://www.nairaland.com/6086124/amechi-okoli-amech213-fraudulent-writer.

Before you got your advance payment, email responses were very fast, yet as soon as you got your advance, emails became difficult to track.

In anycase, how do you explain not writing a book between November and March? Okay then, why don't you refund then?

amechi213:
How To Write A Perfect YouTube Script

Hi, my name is Amechi, a writer with many years of priceless experience. And in this blog post, I'll be teaching you how to write the perfect YouTube script.

Follow these tips to write your YouTube scripts like a pro!

1. Start With A Hook

As the name implies, the “hook” is what keeps the viewers interested in what the video has to offer. Without it, they’ll be gone after the first 30 seconds or so.

The hook should start with an interesting fact, or a question that can spark the curiosity of the viewer.

If the video is about “the world's most expensive cars”, you can start the script with a line like this –

“If you thought the $3 million 2021 Bentley was the world’s most expensive car, better think again because it’s not!”

A person who initially thought the 2021 Bentley was the most expensive would be interested in finding out which cars are more expensive. And this would generate interest in the video, causing them to keep watching.

2. Write The Intro

Now that you’ve got their attention with the hook, you need to write an equally captivating intro.
The intro should expand on the topic and tell the viewers what to expect at the end. This is called the “climax”.

Since we’re using the world’s most expensive cars as an example, you can write the intro like this –

“The 2021 Bentley might cost $3 million, but there are cars that cost a lot more. In this video, we’ll be looking at the most expensive cars in the world. And you won’t believe which cars cost the most.
If you want to find out which, then you have to watch this video to the very end”.

These sentences increase the viewers interest, as well as the amount of time they will spend watching the video.

3. Welcome Note And First Call To Action

After the intro, the next thing you need to write is a welcome note.
This would be something like –

“Welcome to "XYZ" channel, where we bring you daily updates on the latest automobile trends”.

After welcoming the viewers, you need to write the first call to action.
This would be something like –

“Before we get into our list of the world’s most expensive cars, be sure to subscribe to our channel and hit the notification bell so you can stay updated with more great content like this as soon as we upload”.

This line informs the viewer what your channel is about, so they know what to expect every time they tune-in. It also encourages them to subscribe to the YouTube channel, and they most-likely will if they are interested in the kind of content you produce.

4. Write The Content

This is the part the viewers have been waiting for. Here, you need to make the content as detailed as possible.

If it’s the “most expensive cars” script you are writing, then do so in the form of a listicle, starting from the greatest number to number one.

If you’re talking about 10 cars, then countdown from 10 to 1. That’s the cheapest on the list, to the most expensive.
You’re doing this to keep the viewers stuck. If you start writing from the most expensive, then they would lose interest in watching the rest of the video.

5. Tease The Climax

When you’ve gone halfway across the list, it is important that you take a break and tease the climax with a few curiosity-inciting lines.

You can write something like this –

“As you can see, the 2021 Bentley isn’t the most expensive car in the world. However, if you think the prices of the cars mentioned so far are outrageous, just wait until you see how much the other cars on this list cost!
“You won’t believe it !!!”

These lines will keep the viewers itching to get to the end!

6. Write The Rest Of The Content

This is where you’ll write about the other cars on the list, up until you get to number one.

7. Write The Outro And Ask A Comment-Baiting Question

Now you’ve reached the end of the script, but you don’t want the viewers to leave without taking action. This is why you need to ask a comment-baiting question.

The purpose of this is to get the viewers to take action. In this case, you want them to leave their thoughts in the comment section for the purpose of engagement.

You can write something like –

“So what do you think about the prices of these cars? Outrageous right?
Visit the comment section and let us have your thoughts, we’d be glad to hear from you”.

You should also ask them to subscribe to the channel and hit the notification bell for regular updates.

This is exactly how the professionals write their YouTube scripts, and your clients will love it!

Once again, my name is Amechi, a professional writer, and you can reach me via WhatsApp 08033422206.

Thanks for responding on his behalf. The reason for my request is that when you read stories like this in small batches people are earger to read the next one. Do not forget the story is over 3 years old. So a story with a backlink to his book or site would probably do him good as some people would be too earger to be ahead of ur slow update in the group. Anyway without his express permission I will not.

Let me answer here, it might be useful to others. Open a Payoneer account, you will be given a USA Bank account with some other details you can use to receive online payment.
Go to the withdrawal page on Freelancer and choose express withdrawal. Then enter the bank details you got from Payoneer.
Another option is Skrill, but US dollar is not supported on the website. You will withdraw Canadian dollars but it will be converted to US dollars by Skrill or you can just open a Canadian dollars account. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions.
