If you were in keana you should also know that Osana of keana *The king of keana* sent ardo *the fulani king to go and mèt the army for reconciliation, why do the army shot him death ? Why is the army taking side ? We have enough security challenge in this country the army should learn how to police with fairness. Now we are leaving in fear of retaliation because of someone poor judgement.
Yes the ado was shot But He did not die, i was there on official assignment to the federal govt Girs college there. I saw the ardo He was bleeding But didnt die, i never supported the action of the Army because when the fulani will come now Its the indigenes of Keana That will surfer. To me i am seeing it as a set up from the govt side to give the fulani Good reason to kill more in That part of nasarawa again, because three bikes dont worth the lifes and properties lost today.

kessling:
There's more to this story than we have been told
This information is a wrong one. I was in Keana Local govt today and i was opportuned to know the true story. The people That killed this fulani men and their cows were the Nigeria militry men. There was a gun battle between the Nigeria Army and the fulani men for over 6 hours, it started 3 am this morning. What happened was that, the fulani herds men and the Tiv people of Benue state residing around Keana Local govt were having issues and the militry came to intervene, in the process the fulani men came behind and did away with the bikes the militry men came with (3) bikes. So they sent a warning to the head of the fulani to tell there boys to return there bike or else they should expect them back. The fulani boys returned just one of the bike out of three, so the Nigeria army gave them yesterday as deadline to return the bikes ad they didnt. Thats why the Army matched for them in the early hours of today and they engaged themselves in gun battle That resulted to the Death of this people you are seeing. The heading is misleading, it was a joint mission with the Army and mobile Police men.

PoliticsRe: Buhari Approves Establishment Of A New Battalion Of The Nigerian Army & Police by Shigabs(m): 10:32pm On May 07, 2018

@APROKOGIRL

President @MBuhari has approved the establishment of a new Battalion of the Nigerian Army, as well as a new Police Area Command, in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, as part of measures to scale up the security response to the banditry affecting the area.

The President strongly condemns the latest massacre of innocent Nigerians in the area. According to him, "I am deeply outraged by this unwarranted, unprovoked and reckless destruction of lives by bandits who belong to the lowest level of civilization.

"I feel the pains and devastation of the families of the victims, and this administration will do everything possible to ensure we defeat these enemies of humanity." -President @MBuhari

The new Army Battalion and the Police Area Command are the latest in a series of law enforcement measures to ensure more effective protection of lives and property, in and around Benue, Kaduna, Taraba, Zamfara and Nasarawa States.

Last week the Nigerian Air Force took delivery of two new helicopter gunships, for deployment to parts of the country affected by banditry.

A Quick Response Wing has also been established by the Nigerian Air Force in Taraba State, while a Joint Military Intervention Force is fully on ground in Benue.

President Buhari assures that security remains a priority for his government and his administration will not tolerate the persistent killing of innocent people in order to set Nigerians against one another.

According to the President, "these persistent killings are not spontaneous; there are subterranean forces with a sinister agenda to instigate war in the country for selfish purposes."

He notes that, "Although unconventional war is particularly complicated, our security forces are making rigorous efforts to better understand these enemies with a view to decisively checkmating their evil attacks.”

President Buhari extends his condolences to the families of the victims, the government and the people of Kaduna State over this unfortunate tragedy, assuring that his government will never abandon them to their fate.

Kingspin:
(CNN) — Ethiopia, Africa's second most populated country, is forecast to be the fastest growing economy in Sub-Saharan Africa this year, according to new data from the IMF.
Ethiopia's economy is predicted to grow by 8.5% this year.
The figures signal continued economic expansion following a long period of impressive growth. In the last decade, Ethiopia has averaged around 10% economic growth, according to the IMF.

To boost the economy, the country is pursuing a number of large-scale infrastructure projects, including the Grand Renaissance Dam and a railway network.
"(Ethiopia) has had a very high growth rate and I think that's a result in large part of a very concentrated effort by the government to boost industrial production and manufacturing," said Vijaya Ramachandran, an economist at the American think tank Center for Global Development (CGD).
Ramachandran, along with three academics, released a report suggesting Ethiopia can follow in China's footsteps, and become a destination for low-wage manufacturing jobs.

However, despite sustained economic growth, in the past few years Ethiopia has experienced increasing unrest from Oromo groups in the Oromiya region. According to human rights groups, the government has suppressed basic rights and freedoms.

New Prime Minister Abiye Ahmed was sworn at the beginning of April, signaling an intent to ease tensions.

Economic Growth.
Ivory Coast is expected to be the second fastest growing economy in the region at 7.4%. Rwanda's estimated economic growth is 7.2%, and the West African country Senegal is projected to have 7% growth.

The data reveals that Ghana, which was previously forecast as the fastest growing economy in Sub-Saharan Africa in October 2017, at 8.9%, slowed in its predicted growth to 6.4%. Last year, a reported surge in oil and gas production helped propel the country's economy. Related Article:44 African countries agree free trade agreement, Nigeria yet to sign
Nigeria, Africa's largest economy, is predicted to grow by 2.1%, an increase from 1.9% forecast in October 2017.

"They've updated it to 2.1%. However, they have emphasized the risks. The falling commodity prices and imbalances that are to arise because of the elections," Bismarck Rewane, a Nigerian economist, told CNN.

South Africa's predicted growth stands at 1.5%.
Long term, according to a report from the World Bank in 2016, the proportion of the African population in extreme poverty has declined, but the overall number has increased as the continent's population expands.

Growth across the whole region is forecast to average 3.4%, below the total world growth figure of 3.9%.

I am not surprised because they have shown in many ways that they are a country with difference in Africa. Ethiopia is exceptional when you talk of Africa. #IloveEthiopia#
