Excellent! China is looking to reduce using US dollars for transactions and also reduce its US dollars foreign reserve volume. China is also committed to internationalizing the Renminbi and since it has huge investments in Africa why perpetuate the deal in Dollars. Nigeria, on the other hand, can also gain if, they have bargained for a swap rate that is beneficial rather than settling for US dollars that’s already in high demand. The winner here is China though. We just need to ensure that we are not allowing China to dominate us economically. If China can achieve to commit 20 billion dollars’ worth of Yuan in Africa, they will be getting nearer to their aim of reducing their US dollars FX volume. We must not allow ourselves not to be used but to play hardball and get the best deal with China. |
farem:I'm not whining bro and I didn't say Deeper life have done nothing wrong and I am not castigating Deeper life. Why should I? In answering you, yes I contribute to my local area. I also believe and have the opinion that we value and have more religious asset in this country than tangible economical capital and asset that is meant to empower the average Nigerians. Is it a good thing they've built a new church, absolutely yes and It will also be an additional compliment if the people that fill up that church and all other Nigerians to have a labour productivity rate that is on par with the rest of the world. For that, we need a robust economy and some basic infrastructure in place. Again, my response here is not directly to the beautiful church building but just an opportunity to express an observation. |
Elthugnificent:That was my thought as well and my post here is not directly to the magnificent church building above but just an expression of my thought which I believe applies to us as a nation before I get accused of "castigating". I like the fact that there is a new revolutionary thinking mindset of young Nigerians. We have seen that God will not come down from heaven to build infrastructure assets, make structured capital available to small business in form of moderate interest loans but rather, these things are initiatives that we are to make happen. Religion is very important to us as Nigerians and it is the way we are brought up and I hope people will realise one day that yes, God is good[all the time] but we need to go on a journey of nation-building in order to rival developed countries of the world. Rather than praying against accidents, why don’t we build standard and quality roads with good signs. We can solve joblessness among our graduates by encouraging investments from the private sector to manufacturing, petrochemicals, mining, pharmaceutical and construction. All these can be encouraged by effective government policies, provision of enabling infrastructures such as electricity [etc] and reduction of red-tapes. We’ll realise that a lot of the things we pray about are just simple steps we need to take to turn around our plight as a nation. |
There is a book titled "Why Nations Fail" It defines some of the problems of Nigeria. |
Money is not everything agree but don't say that nonsense until you've made a lot of it |
I think in some cases those kids maybe battling a sickness or less privileged or orphans.Just the way celebrities go the hospitals to see sick kids. Another point is, they could actually be normal kids.Imagnine as a child, you idolise a particular team or a particular player and there is an initiative in place that allows you to walk with him to the pitch.Look at it from a kids point on view and not an adult. Just as when I take my kids to some kids event. We the adults look at ourselves in the face and we have the "we don't want to be here look" and the kids have the "we want to live here forvever look" So walking the kids to the pitch is for the kids and you may not really find any reasonable reason for it but the kids love it. |
partnerbiz4:Two things he actually did not make that full statement as the hungry bloggers reported. If you watch the Daddy Freeze interview video, he was just shocked that he was certain he didn’t get into any altercation in December 2017. No 2 drop that attitude. Man has done many good things from mentioning Nigeria’s name in every opportunity he has anywhere he is in the world. Our home grown stars go abroad and act as if they are from California. He even cracked a Nigerian food joke with Prince Harry at the Star Wars premiere. He inserted Wizkid song in a $150m budget movie and because you heard that he said “who is Toke Makinwa” you now hate him from that day. Who your hatred epp? |
boolet:Is it not Nigeria. The Danish government will request that the murderer should be sent back to Denmark and with the obedient inferior mentality that our authorities have, they will simply return him. |
Ibrahimović overhead against England and Rivaldo overhead against Valencia are on par or maybe better than this. Yes, best goal ever for people that started watching football in 2017 |
What we always refer to "massive" crowd in Nigeria has always amaze me. |
fajul:Hmm I don't agree. 150 years ago people could not even afford chicken and potato. Food price has risen inline with inflation rate. Yes corporate capitalism is gripping society harder by the day but the world use to be worse than what we gave today.Try living in Feudal 15th century Europe or Africa in 1600. This is the best time to be alive in the history of the world Bro. |
We are still using a moral and conservative compass to curtail economic growth. Songs that have the potential to contribute to the economy through their purchase in one form or the other have been truncated. Economic development did not come to the countries we call developed today until the hand of conservative aristocrats/religious authority waned off. What government t should only do is regulate and provide a platform for private capital and economic growth through the initiation of policies that will facilitate more growth. There were great civilizations in the Arab world way before the Europeans knew what was called technology, but it died off the day they started the journey towards an ideology(Islam) that has a disdain for everything outside of the scope of Islam and that’s why a lot of these conservatively religious countries are still in the 14th century. Innovation & modern technology are not actually a monopoly that western countries enjoy but man finding solutions to tasks that are deemed repetitive or less efficient. Algebra, Science, and astronomy have great roots in Arabia but Islam killed those things off. I don’t even know if I have diverged from the topic. Anyway my 1 kobo for today. Its Friday!! |
Befairinjudging:Trump strategy is He asks you to retire, when you don't he gives you the sack. That what they did to Preet Bharara (US NY Southern district Federal Attorney) that brought down several drug cartels and prosecuted wall street criminal and made billions for the United States but Trump wanted loyalty from him. |
Ladyhippolyta88:Over six? count again, where is Hope Hicks, Omorosa, Preet Bharara, Sally Yates, Andrew Mcbee(the FBI guy that was fired a day to retirement), Michael Dubke, Tom price etc My count is 21 |
Congratulations to her! Only 41 yrs old and seem to have had a journey-woman career. I say that due to the high number of banks she has already worked for within 20 years. As most Nigerians will come and lambast me for analysing her. They'll say it is GRACE.I claim that GRACE too. |
geoinvestor:Gabbage analysis. You compared a rich capitalist black man to a fellow capitalist rich white man and you used the fact that you are ignorant of the rich black man generosity to conclude that the male version of the black race are all greedy. Do you know the amount of tax exemption Gates gets because due to his "charity".Bill Gates is still very much involved in running companies. His investment holding company is called Cascade Investment L.L.C Also, Dangote gives a lot of money out. |
Businessmen with their strategic moves. Don Jazzy and D'banj are looking for money and they are calling it Mo'hits Reunion Tour.
|
stankezzy:I get you, you but a cable stayed bridge don't necessarily need many column supports. The cables are doing the job of holding the deck up. |
Messi and Ronaldo are the only two players that makes Raul's champions record look mediocre. |
kimbraa:If you read my comment properly, you'll discover that I said that I'm of the opinion that money is not the catalyst to happiness. It'll never be.Does money makes things easier? YES. It is money (and God's Grace) that kept the late Stephen Hawking till 76.I he was in a village in Maiduguri,he would have been dead long time ago. You are right, many things rate higher than money.I know that. Also, are you married? Now, no one in life hates comfort and ease. The question on the thread is, would you marry your spouse if you know what you know now?. Many married people are living lives they did not envisaged, would they want that again if they were to have another go at it? My comment was just an analysis based on this objective question. |
Many women married with the dream and mentality of "my husband will spoil me with luxury and shopping trips" but when they found out that marriage heavily entails endless "boring" stuffs such as taking care of children, endless cooking and open legs for Mr Man in the night along other commitments, they feel disappointed. I don't blame them to be honest. I can't believe I'm saying this as I'm of the opinion that money should not be the borderline of your happiness but I will say it: If there is money, Ease and pampering all the NO would be a BIG YES. |
I’m all for sexual equality but any ideology that asserts that women should aspire to perpetuate the wrongs that men carry out is garbage. When I say the wrong that men do, I mean Adichie et al preach that young girls should not be told by their parents to be conservative about their sex life while they allow boys to explore sex. Fine, is it a bad thing to ask your daughter not to start teenage sex and stay a virgin, why can’t they preach that “boys should emulate the sacrosanct girls”. The world is full of tennage pregnancies and children born through cheap promiscuity and we see celebrities with naked pictures on Instagram captioned “Embracing my sexuality” and “The best time for a woman”. Garbage! Garbage!! Garbage!!! |
EuroBoy007:How can China be there when they only just relaxed their one child per family policy. |

hoMegas:I feel you bro but it was a different story with Africa. They owned Nigeria as a for-profit colony from late 19th century till 1960s, what did they do except to use it as a for-profit region. Farmers were only allowed to farm cash crops. Companies like UAC milked the country dry. People were only educated to serve as an administrator for the British state. To me, Britain & other Imperialists like Belgium and France underdeveloped Africa! |
Many spent more than 9 years in Ogun State Uni now OOU |
Bitterleafsoup:Yahoo is equally bad, many sold off their homes and went into debt to send to their supposed yahoo "lover" and after realising they've been defrauded, they possibly get depressed and in some caes, suicide have also been reported too. |
Woow! Congrats I didn't know he is this young. I've been hearing this guy's name since late '90s. |
If this is true; shebi they always say they are immune to debt or lack. |
Please leave him o.Don't you see his appearance. There is hunger in the land. I am not condoning stealing by the way but he should not be condemned to death by being burnt alive. Even the countries that we call "develop" are functioning because of their healthy social, economic and political structure.Take that away, you have a Nigeria. |
It's an intensive programme called Programme for Leadership Development(PLD). She even said it in the post. Not to take anything away from her though but it's not an MBA. |
You mean the feminists that date old men for hand bags and luxury holidays. |
