As a Christian, I’ve always thought/know that sex before marriage is evil and I believe it.

Let’s divert from the “Christian” view for now, unprotected sex (if the person contracts STD) can send one to an early grave whether he/she is a Christian or not. Unprotected teenage sex could also instigate teenage pregnancy where Mother and child’s life could be changed for better or worse forever.

Now, I also learnt that a certain portion of the brain called Hypothalamus controls our basic drives such as food, hunger, sleep and sex. Now, I believe it is God that incorporated this Hypothalamus tissue into us, Homo Sapiens brain.

The fact that we have a part of our brain that stimulates us to thirst for water, hunger for food, thirst for sex and crave sleep does not exclusively assert the mandate of becoming slaves to our appetite.

An unmarried teenager could be a slave to sex because she enjoys it in almost every way a married 30 year old male could be enjoying sex. The marital boundary that has been crossed by the 30 year old male qualifies him to be doing things (right?) and the not yet crossed marital line of the teenager makes her a sinner according to Christian teaching, anyone agree?

My verdict is, according to Apostle Paul who talked about the believer resisting the temptation of becoming “slaves of our appetites”. I believe the neurological name for some of the desires Paul talked about can be argued to be this Hypothalamus tissue. I suggest the solution is the ability to morally, willfully, prayerfully and spiritually control these appetites in a healthy way. Sex could still be an idol in a married person or teenager's life which is still a sin regardless.

The robber that was killed at the scene was not in the target view of the officers, he went around to shoot the officers through the window and then walk in to finish them at point blank and he was killed, at that point, its now 1 police vs 3 remaining robbers, your theory will be right only if the robber that was killed at the scene did not go around them to shoot through the window.
