The race is organized by the Automobile Club l'Ouest (ACO) and is held on the Circuit de la Sarthe, which contains a mix of closed public roads and dedicated sections of racing track,[b] in which racing teams must balance the demands of speed with the cars' ability to run for 24 hours without mechanical failure. Of the 60 cars which qualified for the 2018 race, 41 cars ran the full duration.

Most part of that race is done on public Roads.
The race is not about speed.

But favourites don’t always make winners and a 24-hour race doesn’t run itself. Toyota knows better than any team that you can never before sure of anything at Le Mans. There was last minute drama in the Toyota Gazoo Racing camp again this year, when the #7 Toyota TS050 Hybrid lost the lead to the #8 sister car after a puncture. Sébastien Buemi, Kazuki Nakajima and Fernando Alonso form the winning crew. Toyota is the first Japanese manufacturer to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans twice. Someone said Toyota has never won any formula 1 or grand prix race despite having a huge budget for the competitions
I thought he was lying till I searched online and no record of Toyota racing team winning a single race.

Goodevening house. I use a 2004 C230k manual tranny. Checked with AC technicians (2-3 of them)and they all confirmed my AC compressor is spoilt. But they differ in the type of compressor that I should buy as replacement. One said I should by the automatic AC compressor the type that came with the car while the other 2 said I should buy the manual AC compressor.
Who has had experience changing the AC compressor in his or her W203 before, would you pls share your experience and advice me on how to go about changing the AC compressor

I will advice you go with the manual compressor..it's very rugged and will serve u for a long time.

Don't do the Peugeot compressor since u don't know much about the car yet....stick to the manual Benz compressor.

I once saw a V6 Highlander that the ABS module was completely disconnected,to my surprise the vehicle still drives as if all is well.
You can't try that with a Benz or any proper vehicle.

Yes check engine light is on(O2 sensor ish).
I use to go up to 220kph or so normally but now before e reach 165 na war then it will now struggle to go up to 175kph then max out at 180kph and doesn't rev up again more than 5000 rpm.
It just stays there no matter how hard I depress the throttle.
And it whines a lot too.

The bad O2 sensor will definitely make ur car slower.
Note also that O2 sensor code can also mean something is not right with the exhaust system.
Also, try and get another MAF that's a perfect match for ur engine....
How I do this:
Install MAF, start engine and rev slowly... observe rpm
Allow engine to idle....check for rough idle....if non noticed.
Take car for a test drive at high speeds and observe performance.
Clear fault codes and test again.
If the engine light doesn't come back and engine is idling fine than u r good to go.

Happy Sunday.
So u hit the interstate today morning while travelling for work related purposes and my car really struggled to go beyond 175kph and it really struggled to get there sef.
Can you all help point out what the culprit could be out of these possibilities;
-leaky exhaust at the neck,close to the manifold where the exhaust line attaches to the engine.
-Scanned and it pointed out MAF (current and stored),even after changing it and wiping the code,it keeps coming back.
-Gear oil.Haven't checked the level or quality in a while(been so occupied lately).
Which amongst these could cause this?
Experts in the house,please help.

Type of engine oil u use doesn't create sludge in your engine.
The major things that creates sludge in an engine is mainly.
1.Not changing ur oil when due.
2. Driving mostly short distances.

So by your logic, if I use a 2001 Mercedes benz that the manufacturer said I should use 5w-30 for the engine and now that the manufacturer has moved to 0W-40 or 5W-50. For those who can afford to replace their engines without battling an eye lid, you can use any oil you want and leave without change for as long as you like.

For the rest of us, we will continue to follow the recommendations of the manufacturer.

Use whatever oil u want but don't say I misinform people here cos I use the same oil myself and my cars are still running strong after many years.
I don't blame u guys cos there was a time people believed that the earth was flat.

U see the problem with most people is they like to follow the guidelines, they like the rules they are caged by the regulations, they like the norm and will never do anything out the norm.
This is 2019 not 2001.
Car manufacturers are learning things we knew long ago.
That ur 5w20 oil is outdated, manufacturers will not recommend that oil today.

The recommended oils for a 2018 Mercedes Benz c class is 0w40 and 5w50 oils, while d recommended oil for 2002 C class is 5w30....notice how the number after the W have increased over d years....

Some of you think the lower the number the better but the manufacturer you claim to follow have moved up to higher numbers but you still choose to remain on one spot shouting Mobil 1 5w30 everywhere up n down
