Romance › Re: Help : Anxiety Is Killing Me. Advice Needed by Shugavee(f): 8:18pm On Aug 27, 2018 |
anxiousguy: Hello nairalanders. I had a fallout with some friends and ever since then I've been having this anxious feeling all the time. Its affecting my health already.
Just recently I decided to spend more time to myself reading James hadly chase books.
I've deleted my WhatsApp, deactivated my Facebook and anything that'd make me talk to anyone.
I only come to nairaland to read the headlines and that's all.
The isolation doesn't seem to help me and each time I'm always having a feeling that there's danger ahead.
My breathing is twise its normal rate and even movement of an ant would get my heart beating 1000 times in a second.
I've decided to cut out the people giving me problems in life with hope that I'd live a normal and happy life but the thought of seeing them everyday just makes me anxious.
I feel like quitting school and starting all over again in a place that no one knows me but my sister talked me out of when I told her of my plans.
I'm tired of getting manipulated by those unfriendly friends and I've decided to live my life without them but I can't help but feel anxious knowing that I'd be seeing them everyday until I graduate.
I've not made or received any phone calls since 15 days because I put my phone out of action by destroying my old lines and getting a new line which I intend to use only for data subscription and nothing else.
My mum after 3 days of not hearing from me has sent someone to check on me in my hostel and immediately I heard a knock my heart started beating faster than it was supposed to. It didn't take the person few seconds to sense that I wasn't my normal self.
I confided in her and her words gave me solace till she left. Knowing that I'm passionate about programming and software design, she bought me three udemy courses to keep me busy but I've not been able to watch more than 3 minutes of the lectures.
I took a peep at Facebook today and discovered that I'd be having some tests tomorrow in school. Immediately I remembered that I'd be seeing those friends again and the worry and increased heartbeat started again.
I've tried to get over this anxiety on my own but all my efforts seems to be futile. I can't even type as my fingers are shaking due to the panic that has developed.
Please nairalanders, I need advice. Anything that can help me overcome this panic. If this continues I won't be able to concentrate on my studies and by doing that, I'd only be helping them achieve their aim.
I don't want to show this anxiety when I appear in school tomorrow. I want to live as happy as I can. I don't want to feel defeated. I don't intend to seek reassurance from others anymore. I want to get out of this pervasive worry as it is doing me no good. The increased heartbeat makes me get tired easily and I want to be as lively as I can when I get to class tomorrow.
I know this would get more audience if it is moved to the front-page make new friends,, n be wiser,, u can’t be an island |

Buhari is not only lifeless but useless!! He still hasn’t made any attempt to save that Christian girl with Boko Haram,, doing nothing about herdsmen!! N some people in this nairaland r supporting the idiot!! May u loose ur family members to kidnappers n be totally ignored!! May ur family member be killed with no attempt to bring the criminals to book!!! I guess then u would know how useless Buhari is!!! Because u eat 3 square meals with a roof on ur head n a phone on ur hands,,, does not mean people ain’t suffering!!! I hope u buharians hv sense one day!! |

Preciousify: Yours is better. Mine is set to hit the rock!
I know I have lost him completely. We are in separate countries. We communicate majorly via video calls and chats. But, going to a month now, no video calls or chats from him. I asked, he told me he has been busy, that alot of things are on him. I see him online everyday, but he doesnt chat me. If i call, he picks and ends it almost immediately. Yet, he claims to love me.
Really hurts, cos I dont know his mind. I got a job this month, am always busy, but still think of him. I am scared we might drift apart!! Feeling that space already!! Even if we talk everyday !! But is like I don’t hv his major attention like I use to |
Romance › Re: Distance Relationship by Shugavee(op): 3:14pm On Aug 27, 2018 |
Angy55: Nothing to be scared of. Release your mind sweetie. Don't nurse the fears or else you would start stalking him via all his social media et all and that would be the beginning of the relationship failing. Distance or not, if you like stay in the same street, if you like cohabit, a good player would always have his/her way.
The love that has come to stay, would stay forever despite the distance. There are several ways to spice it up and make him love you the more despite the distance.
Above all always occupy your mind by getting busy. alright dear,, thanks alot |

pcguru1: What are you guys goals and plans towards each other before he travelled ? Marriage or just dating , if nothing was planned or stated mehn am sorry. Is he there for school or work ? Are you joining him ? Because at the end of the day, a man's greatest task is to a forge a life for himself , if he's priority is family then yes there's a chance assuming he sees you as fulfilling that role, but if he is extremely career oriented he might as well settle with a Nigerian or foreigner over there. At this stage I will employ you guys state the roadmap for the relationship. Because me I will pick a career in a stable country and hope to see a Nigerian over there to settle down with, unless the love you guys have is very strong. All the best for work,,,,, he is coming back October n going back again after Christmas ,,, then return by June ,,, we strong tho! But never been so far from him b4... |

2buffagain: Like the guy above said.
Have something doing. Let it be that when you both talk, you are also celebrating your progressions with each other. With long distance relationships, you can't be the typical girl who relies on nothing more than her body in relationships. Otherwise, There would be nothing to differentiate you from the girl across his street.
Also, have the good sense to not wait on only him to be doing the calling. Yes he should call, but if you carry the stupid mindset that he is the ONLY one to call, you have already failed.
Lastly, take it easy. What will be will be. Personalities determine the success of LDRs. Introverts fare better. Yahoozie people who go out all the time will likely cheat die! he is a bit of both!! I am in serious prayer mood o |

MissRaine69: A woman’s biggest enemy is another woman especially one who clearly failed to grasp a notion and as a way of attempting self valiadation opts to insult as if that is going to make reverence to my life in some way.

MissRaine69: I feel sorry for you. You CLEARLY missed the subtleness of this article but instead choose to be literal and then vent your frustrations on me. Read the points made by those who understood the post. There are a fair few fortunately enough for the sake of humanity. That is not an article ridiculing women. Ps for the record I don’t sound smart I am smart. tell that to urself!! Mtcheww |

and I asked you a question which you have manoeuvred your way into absconding.
if the question i asked means being a typical NL female,so be it. it's better than being whatever you claim you represent. I hv noticed she wants validation so much!! I see her thread n smh!! this topic is so foolish that I had to comment,,, like wtf is this shit!!! Like ur super smart so u know every man that wants to fool you!!! When most of them come out with a charming loving attitude,, which woman doesn’t want to be loved!!!Sorry to say that’s why she is single(even if I know she would deny) If u feel u ain’t like the typical nairaland lady,, wtf r u doing here then? Mtcheww!! Forming rubbish that I don’t know!!! E get who u Dey feed for here!! Life is about risk taking!! Nobody know pass |
