DollyParton1:Loool. Look what the cat dragged in. My beautifully endowed and voluptuous Egba queen. The last wife of the Ijebu duke. ![]() I saw you earlier, and I was going to say "wagwan" but I was just in and out cos of how hectic my day has been. What's really crackalackin, tho? |
Ritchiee:Loool. Each to their own but I don't like their business model. You can't build an empire with that type of model in structured climes. It can only work in a dysfunctional country like Nigeria, or probably around Africa. |
razid:Nice. I hope they all prevail and do us proud. I just checked Kemi Adeosun's profile and I'm loving the fact that she's not ya typical Bretton woods lackey. Tired of those folks and their agents ruining African countries. Also her background in auditing is definitely needed going forward...I'll like to see how she fares in micro/macro economics and putting Nigeria's economy on the right track. Daunting job based on how they messed up the place and folks need to give her time. Happy Ondo got the minister for state in the Niger/Delta ministry - nice. We also nicked the health ministry - that is decent as well. |
WIZGUY69:Loool. Apart from the fat that he's fat - he is moving slow like a fat boy. And that is the game who was brilliant all through school. Some folks are just mere book readers lol. He spend more time trying to critique his predecessor than doing his own thing. I'm not feeling that guy, man. |
Aareonakakanfo:True cos most of them are politicians nominated by their respective state party structures. |
@Laudate I saw ya earlier post. I'm not ignoring you. I just haven't been able to sit down and write a cogent response. You can see that my posts are somewhat incoherent. I just got in now and I'm about to blow out again to do shopping and run to the gym. But I should reply later tonight cos I'm not working tomorrow and I should stay awake till late to watch NBA. Sorry about that, Laudate Dominum. |
razid:Fayemi is definitely a brilliant mind and his CV might be the best of lot. However, I just think based on his achievements when he was in the UK and other places - he has everything to take Nigeria's foreign policy to the next level. If we're being honest with ourselves, he failed in Ekiti, hence that "stomach infrastructure" thug was able to wrestle power from APC. I guess that's why I have my doubts about him. But regardless, I'm not really bothered cos folks don't really pay attention to that sector due how dependent Nigeria is on oil. As for Fashola, it is just natural to be scared once you take emotions out of it - and focus on his career progression/projection to the next level. The power sector isn't Lagos. With that portfolio, he'll have to fight a lot of battles and the average Nigerian will have to feel the impact in real time. That's how they'll grade him. It is basically like throwing yourself open into the court of public opinions, where folks who don't understand anything are the judges and the judgement would be based on the impact you have on their lives. And anything they perceive as failure can be a career killer. I just hope he prevails - he's a warrior for taking something as daunting as that. Also, I like him as the works and housing minister. That's perfect. Someone just needs to rein the incumbent fat boy in Lagos in, to stop antagonising his superior. Lagos needs Fashola's ministry for a lot of concessions from the FG and they both need to work together. Hopefully, he'll extend a few things to the SW and help in the integration of the region. Nigeria also need new cities and if he can help build a few, that will be nice. Kemi Adeosun is the star of the list. I like her appointment a lot. But folks will have to be extremely patient with her cos Iweala messed up the country's economy with her voodoo economics and magical numbers -hence the economy is in comatose. She has her work cut out by I believe she has what it takes to excel. It is a tedious job but she should make us proud. I don't know the rest apart from Lai Mohammed. The man is a parrot and he got the right portfolio. |
Aareonakakanfo:What do you think about Fayemi as the solid minerals minister? That man has a stellar CV in conflicts resolution, military, and international relations/politics. Shouldn't he be the minister for foreign affairs, rather than what they gave him? Nigeria needs a better foreign policy cos all the clowns they keep putting there are some of the dumbest folks ever. |
razid:I hear that. But let's see how it plays out. However, in life, once you attain a level of achievement and you know you're being groomed for something bigger - it's always better to play safe, till you get to the next stage. It's just basically like a high school star going to college for the mandatory one year. Avoiding injuries should always be the most important thing cos you don't want a career ending injury. |
modath:But the Atiku man is allegedly the co-owner of Mikano generators, according to Omojuwa. And apparently, a lot of ex military officers are also involved. Then you have got foreign countries that make a lot of money from it as well. Nigeria's power sector is deeper than rap. |
Aareonakakanfo:Lol. Performing at state level where there's a common goal, is different from an arena where goals are divergent and you have powerful vested interests. And he was given two ministries at a time - not one. Even Houdini would reject it, since he's being groomed for something bigger and his CV is already where it's meant to be with what he achieved in Lagos. Just take one small portfolio, take it to the next level with a lot of publicity - and he's good to become the next president. Why go take something as grave as that? What is he trying to prove again? |
razid:What about vested interests, especially those involved into importing generators? And how'll they be able to push a bill to allow states control power and energy resources through the legislative arm of government? What about states that don't have the resources? |
Aareonakakanfo:They should have given him the works and housing ministry alone. And let someone who's not a career politician - preferably a technocrat - to handle that sector. I'm scared for him, to be honest. That sector might end his career - I just hope he overcomes whatever they throw at him. |
9jacrip:That's me as well. I'm as real as it gets and my simple cos I don't even take life seriously. However, I'm not a fan of fake and intrusive folks, hence you'll rarely see me converse with folks out this medium. Only one person on here knows what I look like and how I talk, and the person knows I'm real. We'll just see how it goes. But no snakes/fakes - I don't like fake folks. |
razid:What about power? The benchmark would be 24hrs power supply, no? How will he be able to achieve that with the corruption and forces in that sector? |
Ritchiee:Even if Nigeria ever gets serious and put the right structures in place, their style of business will never be able to thrive.. The real merchants are the ones who do legit business and maximise their profits the right way. However, when you start scamming folks - that's not business. |
razid:Lmao at Hughes turning to Hugo. These folks are just criminals. ![]() |
zimoni:We'll discuss it and exchange ideas. |
Aareonakakanfo:Lol. That was why I said I've got "mixed feelings" about it. The bar is too high, especially for the bottomless pit that power is. They're probably trying to nuke his credibility cos he's being groomed to rule Nigeria. I don't know, man. Can't celebrate that. |
I think we might have to create a medium outside this place to discuss certain issues. I know the older heads were planning one before, but I had to opt out of that in a sly way cos I'm never comfortable around older Yoruba folks. And if I can't disagree with folks, I won't be able to get my points across. Also, cos I do observe posters a lot - I just never really liked some of the folks mentioned. I'm not a fan of two-faced folks. Then you have some chameleons/snakes in the mix as well. I definitely can't relate to folks who try to post to me on one hand, and in a snakey way report my handles and other Yoruba posters' handles all the time - while trying to support those who instigate shiit. I don't like snakes/jakes/fakes/frauds. At least I've known Ilekehd for three years now and from personal observations, I know what she can/can't do. Ditto 9jacrip, Superstar1, and a few other folks. And I know Aareonakakanfo is legit and passionate about Yoruba. Since we all share the same passion - we might as well start building something. What do you guys think? |
Ritchiee:That's cos most folks haven't traveled out of Nigeria. I honestly don't know how anyone will say they're better at business than Yorubas when over 90% of the Nigerian businesses out here are owned by Yorubas. And I don't want to hear that crap that there aren't that much Igbos out there cos there are loads of them. Heck, Yoruba businesses in the UK outnumbers all other African businesses put together - fact. Only Somalis have a lot of businesses out here and Somalis are naturally traders, anyway. |
9jacrip:Bwahahahahahahaha These folks are industrious in criminal behavioural pattern. ![]() How the fvck did this happen? So adidas made the lace, while Nike made the sole and body, no? https://i.imgur.com/ElaPGkv.gif |
Aareonakakanfo:Fulanigirl, Fulaman198 is now ya hussy. Allah has blessed the union. ![]() |
@ Aareonakakanfo Are there any basins in Osun? I think the Yorubas in Kogi might also have oil potentials based on where they're located. |
Aareonakakanfo:Fulaman198, I hereby join ya hand in marriage with my good friend "Fulanigirl". ![]() We need to make it happen. ![]() |
Fulaman198:Thanks Fulaman198, you're a star. ![]() |
mazeltov:Err...like I told the other chic that works for a company connected to Langley last week, if all you've is propaganda - it's always better to stay away from my posts. I can't stop folks from earning their wages, but I know more than enough about military and history, to allow folks disturb me with propaganda. However, you can post it to other folks. That said, how can they be beaten? Also, in a world as competitive as this one, and where espionage is paramount...I believe there should be cases of US air force "beating" Russia air defence, no? How about cite examples where this has happened? I bet you don't know that Russia started integrated air defences, where different air defence systems are integrated to attack over different distances. And they have the most complex air defence on the planet. Also, can you please list all the superiority jets the US has in its inventory and let's look at the Russian equivalent vis-a-vis US air defence and Russian air defence. P.S: I don't want porky pies similar to the propaganda about how stealthy the fancy F-117 Nighthawk was, till it got shot down in Yugoslavia by an obsolete SAM. |
theV0ice:These folks aren't leaders - they're just opportunistic pilfering loafers put on a pedestal by illiterate and hungry followers. The leaders from that generation were supremely educated and what they went through made them competitive and selfless. |
Interesting. Now, you're a man. You're not a man till someone tries to kill you, stab you, and/or have bullet holes in ya body. ![]() Those of us who have experienced one or more of these things understand that lives begin after that experience. Once you experience the difference between life and death - then the proper struggle will begin. Welcome to proper manhood. ![]() Biafra is on the march...the zoo must collapse, just keep it within ya region in the country, and avoid the mistakes of Ojukwu the coward. ![]() Duke of Ijebuland. ![]() |
mazeltov:Thank you for what? For obtuse propaganda? - hysterical. I bet you have never heard about the Pantsir S-1, no? And what's an air defence with three layers of different air defence systems called, if it isn't multi-layered? |
