Our land is not developed because of other region stealing our oyel

Is the Buhari admin suppose to go start from 1960 then? The wise thing to do is to probe the admin before Buhari's admin. GEJ's admin ought to have probed OBJ's own but decided to see stealing as normal

Technically there is no SURE-P money because the money saved is cancelled off by the money still being spent on the partial subsidy

Why is diesel still fixed at N140/Ltr when price of crude has gone through series of fluctuations since 2012?

Awolowo was 37, Akintola was 36, Ahmadu Bello was 36, Tafawa Balewa was 34, Okotie-Eboh was 27 and Enahoro was 27 at the time of independence of Nigeria. In 1966, the first coup was led by Kaduna Nzeogwu (29) and stopped by Murtala Mohammed (28), TY Danjuma (28), IBB (25), Sanni Abacha (23) and Shehu Yaradua (23). It brought in Yakubu Gowon as Head of State at 32 and Obasanjo at 29. You are in your 40s and you still sag your trousers.

If govt has nothing to do with marketers milking Nigeria then I wonder what the govt has business with.

Falling crude oil prices!
If crude price is falling then why isn't diesel and kerosine reflecting this fall in price. Have at d back of ur mind that diesel is unregulated by our govt I.e zero subsidy.

you call an artificial protest by marketer slavery, then what do we call the sales of kerosine at N150 and unregulated diesel at double intl market rate.

Xetima:
After all your story, you still missed the point. Removal means that government has no business in fuel business. What OP is saying is that had the removal been made in 2012, you would not be suffering today. We all paid exorbitantly when GSM was introduced, but today it is as cheap as pure water. I hope you will protest now that Buhari will do the same thing GEJ suggested 3 years ago.

IT ONLY SHOWS THAT YOUR LEADERS ARE NOT VISIONARY AFTERALL grin grin
If the subsidy had been removed today we would have been buying at around N147/Litre. Diesel subsidy was removed and it still sells for same price, that proves Nigerians were right to oppose the subsidy removal.
Politics › Re: Where R Those Who Protested Subsidy Removal? by Sibrah: 4:04pm On May 24, 2015
baralatie:
should their be subsidy or no subsidy!
It all depends of the reputation of the government in charge. If issue of systemic corruption can be tackled by the sitting government then subsidy can go. That's to say If for example Buhari admin is ready to face the challenges of Diesel selling for same rate it sold for in 2012 Jan, when crude price was more than double it is now, then he can remove. If not removal of subsidy will only be a licence for the marketers to form a cabal and be the new government of fuel.
Politics › Re: Where R Those Who Protested Subsidy Removal? by Sibrah: 3:50pm On May 24, 2015
Where are those who called the protesters Parasite?
Today the intl. Price for crude has halved but a deregulated diesel still sells for same price in Nigeria. There was corruption and Nigerians weren't ready to pay for the laxity of our leaders, they could read the 'stealing is not corruption' attitude of the leaders long ago. OP should go sit down.

He is confused and wondering if this is a homosexual gesture from his boss. During an introductory session on his first day, his boss, a middle age man dipped his first finger severally in the centre of his palm while looking straight into his eyes.

The boss delayed releasing his hand as a result showing that its not a mistake. Many have said that this could be a gay gesture. Or what do you think?
Always move around with a well charged Nokia handset that can record any implicating move he makes from now on. Look for a good hanset with at least 3000 mAh battery capacity.

He ran too many recurrent expenditure based project to the detriment of Osun state. He still a performing governor.

This is not about getting a new job or winning big contract.
The company i work for just acquire new technology in the particular industry I worked for.Prior before I joined the company, they have been struggling in getting so many things right with the data needed to develop the software needed for this technology.I joined the company last year, having had 7 years experience in this particular industry, without knowledge about the technology.
All responsibilites about this technology was shifted to me.With the help of God, my team(both in my unit and outside my unit) got every thing right for the software that will be handle by an expert from europe. The white guy was impressed. The software was installed and things started working well as planned by the company.Just on monday,18/05/15,I needed to delete one irrelevant thing,as instructed by my boss, from the system. Nairalanders,I deleted all what was installed because I logged in as a Super user of the software.
All effort to restore the DB(database) proved abortive.I was forced to contact the white guy without anyone's knowledge. Explained every thing to him cos I would nt know the response from the management will be.I tell you, the company query and sacks with little mistake from employee.
Around 2:15pm today the guy sent the software to me.It was restored perfectly. Is working WELLA.
God, as so grateful for this and for the white guy who nobody in my company knew i have his contact.

Nairalander help me praise God for this
Thank God for you, but what's this software about?

Lol. a tint of loyalty in the face of collective injustice is somewhat puzzling. I never said a single individual is responsible. I am challenging the leaders of APC and PDP on this issue. As for presidency, who knows if NASS got inspiration from the manner the executives cut the cake for themselves? An expatriate once joked remarked that it was impossible to embezzle 1000 in his country because the system will collapse. Why? every shilling has a CRITICAL assignment to carry out. This has nothing to do with GEJ alone but the system he inherited. Whether he should be blamed for assenting it at all depends sadly on our belief system.

I am for regionnalism. But before we create a new class of emperors as we have in the states, let us strengthen the capacity of citizens through the instrumentality of law and law enforcement. let us make leadership financially unattractive. How? Transparent Procurement System.
Contracts must be awarded based on market overt prices not covert. money must be paid into a publicly verifiable account. all expenditures from the account must be done by e-transfer. under this system contract inflation and kick backs will be marginal and in some cases nil.

salaries and allowances of the highest paid public servant must not be 3 times higher than that of a Federal University VC. Tax on property should be paid through bank accounts of property owner. this includes car licensing. Bank accounts will serve as the medium knowing sources of income and the tax payable. In most European countries if you don't have work got will know through your account. if you have assets higher than normal got will come after you for explanation.

What does it take to do this. Legislation. It does not need time for maturity. Before you drive a car of five million as the son or cousin of a politician you must be prepared to answer questions. if you get away when you are driving you will not get away when you are renewing your papers.

What is the effect: industrial creativity to earn legitimate money. willingness to work on the part of gold diggers and "short cutters". available of resources for essential social safety nets. mortgage, health, education and security. once you create this legal frame work. Politicians will not have personal money to sway electoral process. they will rely on people to contribute so as to make the system better. Brothers, this is the point where young intellectuals on Nairaland will put their wonderful skills to test in the soap box. You can then have leaders who came to power not because of God fathers or money but majorly because they have ideas the people bought into.
The bold part means all they have to do is inflate pay of VCs acrosS the country. It will be better if their pay is on a normal civil servant scale.
