efosa12345: Hey dude point of correction, I did not say same last name with my brother, what I said is same surname with my brother, maybe u need lens to peruse my write up again, what is bad in working with brothers company as an employee, I did submit payslip and salary acct of about 500k balance. Thank God brv urs was successful! God knows best.
,,,efosa...I understand ur frustration but in Yoruba land ...they say if u fall from a horse the first time, u hop on it again..... i am a testimony to that....I applied twice before I got mine back in the days....the reasons they denied u are straight-forward and easy to tackle....now...they are not cool with u presenting a company acct....simple...ask ur bros to present his personal acct....remember, a company might be owned by 1 million people with ur bro being the major shareholder....that does not mean he has access to the company funds...personal accts is the best....once thats done...ask ur bro to have a lawyer make a list of his properties and investments in a notarized letter...and present most of the same docs u presented initially...dont change ur stance too much ...it is well

Goldie20: Thanks for your reply and concern

Well I'm 18 years of age, soon about to turn 19 , and yes i do have guardians out here, and no i dont have siblings out here, My parents dont live in canada, they live in the u.s, had a divorce, so i dnt know much about them as of now . came here when i was 16, due to traveling and stuff, paper works , and other few reasons, i wasnt able to complete high school.. was only e to complete 10th grade (U.S)
....are u in Canada or Nigeria?
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by Siga: 12:38am On Nov 14, 2012
Goldie20: well that what my school advised me to do, and they also said it is probably best to apply for the Bachelor of Business Administration directly and we can provide you a conditional acceptance to this program once you have complete all the English and high school prerequisites!!.. is that a good idea ? shocked
....well, conditional acceptance is contigent to u passing all the high school exams....I am sure the VO will have serious concerns as to how this will work out....if I may ask...are u in SS 1 in Naija, if u dey naija?...why the rush?
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by Siga: 12:23am On Nov 14, 2012
Goldie20: Well sorry to confuse you sir, but my question really is, when i apply, do i tell the V.O. that im also applying to go to college after i graduate from high school or do i just wait until i get my study permit for high school (2yrs), and then after graduating high school, apply for a next one for college (4years), or can i just apply all in one shocked. thank you !
...U can actually apply for one first , but write a letter indicating you plan to further ur studies after high school....what they will probably do is still only give u visa for the 2yrs and u can extend it once u secure admission into University....no qualms....if I may ask....wat would u be taking after High School?
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by Siga: 12:03am On Nov 14, 2012
Goldie20: Yes Sir, Im planning on continuing high school, graduate and then continue into college ! I already got all my necessary document and stuff ready, just waiting to apply. just curious about some lil things that why i asked smiley

Goldie20: Hey House, Siga,Fhemmy, Everyone,
can you provide any insight about whether I should apply only for my high school (2 years), or if it's okay to add the 4 years for bachelor's as well? (For the visa request)..i wrote to the school and this what they advice Honestly there may be visa issues if you apply only for high school so it is probably best to apply for the Bachelor of Business Administration directly and we can provide a conditional acceptance to this program once he has completed all the English and high school prerequisites!!
...I am abit confused here....are u still in High school and planning to continue schooling in Canada?....

mercylicious: @Siga and Fhemmy,
This questn might sound strange and out of context.
US and Canada, which has more jobs?
...Haba...this one tough small now...all I can say is Canada's unemployment percentage is better than US....just because Canada was able to withstand the recession....but Canada still depends on US economy....u realised that Canadian dollar is high now and infact at times its more than US....the Canadian Gov had to suppress the Canadian dollar as it was affecting tourism and lumber business....so, sales went down...in all the jobs report is wat we can only go by...

iluminati: HI ALL, THE TUITION FEE WE TRANSFERED TO MEMORIAL UNI IN CANADA SINCE LAST WEEK TUE WHICH IS EXACTLY ONE MONTH HAS NOT GOTTEN THERE AAND EMBASSY GAVE US JUST ONE MONTH DEADLINE TO SUBMIT RECEIPT PLS THOSE THAT HAVE PAID THEIR TUITION FEE, HOW LOND DID IT TAKE BEFORE YOUR SCH CONFIRMED THAT THEY HAVE RECEIVED IT? What do u advised us to do in thin case cos time is no more on our side.
...this situation can even be more frustrating than waiting for VISA...wat I will advise is send a copy of the payment info from naija...showing that u have made the payments....then call the school to help track it if anything....thats if they ask for the receipt right now....I tell u....even having a lawyer stand for u goes a long way....

Fhemmmy: The quality of the University there is really very good, they are just awarded with Medicine University and the ratio of student to the lecturer is low, meaning enuf time with the lectures attention.
Yeah, cost of living there is low, there are jobs in thunderbay but depends on what kinda program, if you are a medical doc, forestry specialist and some other environmental sciences, chances are high. . . and Bombadier used to have a arm there, not sure if they still do
...Nice one Baba....but on a serious note...I doubt if the cold go bother Naija man jare....boys dey survive for Winterpeg(Winnipeg) now....but guys....it goes as low as -35 windchill one time ooo.....dem close down all businesses and schools man cos of snow storm.....but for Toronto...i have experienced -22c

Fhemmmy: Thunder Bay is a very nice place, the city is great and awesome and the people are very friendly . . . however, it is a cold city, very cold, the winter there is no man's land. . . . but you will get chance to read and focus on your education.During the summer, your chance of a Job is higher if you are strong enough to plant trees (Hopefully they still do that) . . .
...MR FHEMMMY....haba...u no suppose say everythin now....my guy....the good thing is summer time...u can come down to Toronto enough summer jobs....if it happens that u are there and need to come down to Toronto for summer jobs? ....Get in touch with moi.....no wahala...might be minimum wage though....

@ezme...i can tell u those schools are very very competitive....this is due to the Oil boom in those areas.....guys have flooded those schools and they only have few quotas for International students....I will advise you move away from those areas....u can secure admission into any other school....once u are done...u can relocate ...since you are looking into a Graduate study...its ok....remember...u all are gonna sit for same professional engr exam...so, u are cool....have u tried U of Manitoba...close to Alberta....or u try U of Waterloo, Queens, Mcmaster, York, U of T,Brock, Ryerson....there are tonnes...and these are very good schools....check their sites...see if they offer wat u want and go from there....and bro...some schools are better than others in some fields....keep in mind this ranking might be the overall grading....
@siga, is it possible to change from college to university? say PGcert in a college to Bsc in university..note 'higest certificate at hand is HND'
...100% possible....but the issue is some courses might not be accepted at the University...but they accept it...P.S...u might be required to take some summer courses to be able to take the main courses....so, its ok...

nivax21: @Mr phemmy.that's not what I meant o!I believe dosunmu's isn't complicated;just citing an example.@Siga.that 19weeks,I believe is the maximum time to get ur student visa cos I know that some people do get the student visa within 3 months of applying for it.
...there u go....this is a better way of putting things....and u have a point cos dem VO get dem own mind.....if the person wey carry ur file just collect pay raise...hin fit dey happy just pick ur file work it and ignore everything just approve straight up....u never know....

Don Cipher: @Siga, please do you mean change school to another one or you meant something else?
My Don....she can change school anytime....all u do is apply for the name of school to be changed on ur Study permit...no long thing...people come here and are not satisfied with the school and u are free to move to another one....u can as well change courses in same school if u feel u dont want the course u came in for anymore....and some dudes just bone finally which is a bad move cos...u need the certificate to place u better in the job market....na choice....
