fashrola: Well prospective batch "B" corper willing to serve in Akwa Ibom state, I want to brief you a little about the place, Though I'm from Akwa Ibom and I school @ Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron, I've also been mobilized for the NYSC programme too, Akwa Ibom state (Uyo as a case) Uyo is a very nice place to be, especially the new infrastructure put to place by the State Governor which includes: Good and beautiful roads, Cinema, At least manageable power supply, good road network system (no hold-up), Cheap accommodation and Transportation, Uyo is a very peaceful place and it is not as big as Lagos, therefore it is a really organized-city, Where the problem lies is which LGA you will be posted to in Akwa Ibom state, well I'll tell you the best LGA to serve with most good social amenities includes: Uyo, Eket (oil-rich town), Ikot Ekpene, Abak, Oron, Ibiono, Itu...though other LGA are good but I'm just telling you the best LGA in Akwa Ibom state and their proximity to the state Capital. Don't mind my grammer sha, I'm typing with a phone...
Wow, thanks dear. Can you tell me about Eket, i know it's a beautifull place. I pray to work my PPA to Mobil Eket, how possible is it?

sammygold: I'm rilly stocked my frnds... Akwa ibom or Abuja. Wia do i choose? Pls i need evry1's suggestion, pls i nid ur response urgently.
Make ur decisions fast, there's no time. Do you have accomodation in Abj cos it's quite expensive there, cost of living in Akwa ibom is lower than that of Abj. The decision is ur's to make.

's up guys? I dont always post comments here but i follow this thread from page to page. I saw how it passed tru different phases from discussions and making decisions on our choice states, to the anxious expectations of our call up nos with the lil ANSU drama that added suspense to the thread as it involved the owner of this thread, and now everyone has activated their prayer modes so that their runs will work, lol. Sounds like a movie story line does'nt it?
Well, as the day draws near, i get more tensed instead of happy. I keep wonderin how i'll locate the camp, how the first night will be, how i'll know the best LGA to work my PPA to, how i'll get a comfortable accomodation.... The list goes on, if i continue i'll exhaust the space on this thread lol. Well, in all, i've learnt to leave the thinking and worrying for God and play my role by doing my best afterall Life is a live movie. So stop worrying and hand everything over to God, He'll direct us to our various destinies tru this Youth Service. Incase you re not posted to the state of ur choice, do not be sad, rather, accept it with thanksgiving and have faith that God's with you and He'll give you comfort and favour in a strange land. Lastly, watch ur confessions, our tongue is one of the greatest weapons God gave to us, speak good of ur life and of the place you find urself, and look for ways to be an agent of change wherever you find urself.
God bless y'all, lots of love.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Online Job Hunting... How Reliable/Effective Is It In Nigeria? by sigba(op): 9:39pm On May 19, 2012
upengineer: @ sigba
Personally, am a living testimony to online job haunting perticularly nairaland.com. I have goten two oferrs from vacancies i applied to on this site and both are offshore. The first job was a Drilling rig catering job, i worked for few months and resigned to take up another offer from a company i also applied to on this site and you wouldnt want to believe that the second job is an OFFSHORE oil and gas job meaninig i work offshore now and i saw both vacancies here. If you want me to provide the link to both vacanies on nairaland.com, i will be very happy to do that. I also got another one at Ikoyi also from the position i applied to on this site. I didnt take that offer because am not just comfortable with the pay(50K). So, the lesson from my story is this: your friends should not always look out for names of big companies before they apply and they should cultivate the habit of doing a thorough search. The links of all the vacancies are available on nairaland if you need verification
Wow, i'm encouraged, i'll start encouraging them from now and i hope to start searching too. Thanks alot.

PoliticsRe: Bus Explodes At Rumuokoro Park In Port-Harcourt by sigba(f): 9:48pm On May 17, 2012
LADEMINUS: Obviously u don't knw how to identify a bomb blast

The epicenter is at d middle of the bus not d fuel tank... Definite bomb
There is a crater formation on d road with debris scattered in a circle away from d bus.... Definite bomb
Notice the whole bus is not burnt?... Shows that damage was swift,.... Not as seen inpetroleum explosions .... Definite bomb!!!
I tink ppl r just running away from the obvious scary truth dat dis threat has come down south.. Sad
I can see someone has been watching too much detective movies lately. grin

9-zeros:
@all: pls i have a question- do y'all still have ur school i.d cards?
its one of d requirements for registration in d camp. some schls demands dat u submit ur i.d card to d student affairs b4 graduation. i cant remember how i skipped dat phase durin my clearance. i had a serious beef wit d anti-cult in my schl so my i.d was seized in order to trace me. i later settled d beef but i didnt get my i.d card back. maybe, i'm just gonna make a convincing 'duplicate' one.
Go to the court and swear an affidavit of missing id. I have the same problem and friend of mine that has already served adviced me to get the affidavit. She said she used it in camp cos that it's risky to use a fake id.
