Good day landers, I would like to hear your opinion on this matter bothering me for days now.

I am faced with choosing between working in one of the breweries here in onitsha as a casual for 35k monthly and traveling to abuja be with an uncle who is into metal fabrication ( welding, painting and general sales of his product).

Thing is, if I am to stay here in onitsha...I have planned to save up 100-150k before next year to start a business my mom is currently into and she's doing pretty well in it .

While if I am to stay with this uncle in abuja, he agreed on teaching me basics of his profession like paint spraying with machine, and he also promised to set me up with trade in the welding industry as time goes on, but I will be placed on monthly salary after I must have learnt the painting process and stuff, ( mind you, his proposed salary is between 20-30k monthly).

My brothers and sisters, is welding something that can guarantee a good future in this present state of the country? Does it worth my time as a guy in his late 20's? Should I just continue with my 7-5 job ?

I have until 5th of april to decide. Thanks for your time.

Please follow your Uncle. It is a decision you'll bless God that you made. Welding is very lucrative. A lot of people pay to learn a skill but it'll be given to you free of charge and be paid too! My 2cents though

same thing with my set.........on this day at exactly 1 am, soldiers/camp commander paid us a visit in the hostel (Ajimobi hostel), matched everyone out. there was a slight/shower rainfall, they asked us all to take off our shirts, sit on the ground and enjoy the cold weather with them.

I was inside AJIMOBI HOSTEL . It is opposite the clinic.

One night after social activities, we were awake with our usual noise making The noise coming out of that hostel that very night can keep the whole Iseyin awake Naso soldiers evicted all the boys from the building and punished all of us severely. Our saving grace was that the next day was Sunday. Some of us slept till 12noon. It was a long night for us. I enjoyed the camp and Iseyin. Corona virus truncated the fun

Can someone tell this boy that with such brains, he has no reason being in Nigeria, he should be in one Aerodrome in Ukraine or in an auto assembly plant in Sweden.

Most people here may not know, but I graduated as well with a 5.0 CGPA and first class degree in Kpekus Engineering.
There is no rusty crevice that wasn't brought back to life after being worked on by me.

But it is not by getting a CGPA of 5.0 in Mechanical Engineering in the classroom, can he replace pistons and rings in the workshop?

Can he use an Allen key and '15 combined' perfectly with just his left hand while his right hand romances the boobs of an agbo seller while replacing the 'half-and-top' of a V8 engine without being distracted?
