PoliticsRe: 31 More Reps To Join APC In January - Akume by simeonT: 12:17pm On Dec 28, 2013
Pukkah: You've hit the nail on the head.

Jonathan has proved clearly that he's not a consummate politcian. Unluckily for him, there no real politcians around him that are used to fighting in the trenches and nights of long knives. The only person that's close to that is Tony Anenih whose old and tired voice has been crowded out by the cacophonous voices of Akpabio, Wike, Tukur, etc.

Jonathan did not utilize the 'readiness' of Tinubu to work with him and he didn't press further, post 2011 election, to tip SW to his side (politically speaking).

Imagine if he had secured the political support of SW, whom some of us noted here as the bride to be courted, before the implosion in PDP. In addition, the SW has long been used to political fights and being in the opposition. You don't alienate such a region and other real politicians at the same time.

I was shocked the day Jonathan naively described SE as the pillar of his support and even more shocked as he sat through the campaign where Arthur Eze referred to APC as the party of Awolowo that killed their children.

I noted here that such statements would unite other parts of the country against him and tip over neutrals and moderates to the other side.

For some odd reason, he has also inexplicably held on to Tukur whom he should have used as gambit to bargain for his political survival.

The creation of PDP Governors forum, ostensibly to break or weaken Amaechi or the Governors, was also petty and unnecessary.

I also wonder why he's not courted Atiku, who appears to be 'floating' and whom he could use against Obasanjo.

Sometimes I ask myself why Jonathan, the President of a secular country, must go everywhere with Oritsejafor. Oritsejafor has succeeded in creating enemies for Jonathan even within christendom, let alone the other side.

The handling of the ex-militants and their explosive statements has also been very poor. Ex-militants, like Oritsejafor and co, now own private jets and even universities!

The handling of corruption cases is another sore point. Why pardon Alamieyeseigha and stubbornly hold on to Odua, Oteh while turning a blind eye to what's going on in the Oil Ministry?

All these have frittered away the massive goodwill on which Jonathan rode to power in 2011.

The heat is on and as the flurry of activities increases, I hope he won't make more mistakes in a bid to fight back for the political survival of his life.

NB: This is a political analysis and does not mean I support the ways of Nigerian politicians.
PoliticsRe: Thabo Mbeki’s Verdict On Nigerians by simeonT: 8:35am On Nov 25, 2013
[quote author=kingoflag]Thats the problem with you clowns like I said---- ure so deceitful and hate the truth u don't mind lying to outsiders,as well as urselves.

Tribalism? Because I spoke the truth? Are Igbos not vocally 100% behind this thieving govt? Were Northerners not behind Yar Adua? Ok, then. Is any Northerner crying over my truthful allegation? So, why do u choose to cry at the truth?

You ask about OBJs tenure. Well, pardna, I didn't give 2 fuxcks about Nigerian affairs back then, but from the little I've read his fellow Yorubas were his biggest antagonists while he garnered much of his support from the North and part of the East because he gave their "sons" and "daughters" juicy posts in his govt. God bless u and ur generation, u've said it all.

PoliticsRe: Beg Obasanjo & Be Saved- Fani-kayode To Jonathan by simeonT: 3:38pm On Sep 08, 2013
Noooooo! You and I know dat GEJ is using northerner's tenor and someone must have begged or appeased the north for him to rule, which is Obasanjo after GEj promised them he would stay for one term in d office. GEJ once tried tennor elongation to 6years they refused now he want 2nd term. I'm not sure Obasanjo will want to risk his integrity with the north. That is Nigeria and PDP politics for u, God should just deliver us from them. Our vote no really count afterall
Billygee2u: So you mean JEG would have resigned and ask the northerners, power hungers, born to rule crooks to take Aso Rock? Is it what you mean by playing his politics well?

adelaja70: Beg again? He has already done that in Abeokuta....
PoliticsRe: Beg Obasanjo & Be Saved- Fani-kayode To Jonathan by simeonT: 1:22pm On Sep 08, 2013
Don't forget 150million Nigeria can only vote for him after primaries, he once begged all these people for four years, now he thinks he knows it all. U better advice him to form his own political party if he can not stay amicably with his elders .but I bet u it is too late for him, he has to beg again that's even if they are ready to listen to him.
1oracle: Continue to dream, so now it is not election again, so those people will represent the votes of 150 million Nigerians.
Kindly add boko haram to that list grin grin grin grin
PoliticsRe: Kano's New Mega Cities And Transport Terminals! by simeonT: 1:38pm On Jul 30, 2013
zada: A state like Kano does not nid the Igbos to invest in such project, ask most of them the Igbos who reside in kano they will neva give up kano for anything. Many hv been prosperous beyond their lands, dat they do not even have a piece of land in the east. If kano was that worst putting into consideration hw wise they say an Igbo man is, then they must be foolish still living in kano. Even in America with all the security agencies and technology bombings take place, but it doesn't stop their development. Incase, many of us don't knw kano is a state like lagos dat can stand on its own without Federal gov't subvention. Single handedly I do not see those projects as gigantic or financially lofty that kanolites can't handle, dey don't need the Igbos or any other tribe for dat matter to achieve that plan. Like the popular saying abt kano goes " there is nuftin on earth that money can buy and u can't get it from a kanolite". So we shld be more positive and constructive in our arguement!
Dont mind them, they are all migthy people. It is their way of life to claim to develop everyplace after coming with nothing from nowhere and fed well. That's how they claim they develop Lagos. Instead of being grateful to their host. Ingrates! No other tribe can do this.

PoliticsRe: FG Approves $3.7bn To Transmit 20,000mw by simeonT: 12:45pm On May 06, 2013
HNosegbe: Who came up with this estimate? How was the figure arrived at? How do we know it's not inflated? Where will the funding come from? Over what time frame will this be completed? What checks are in place to prevent misappropriation? Who will supervise the use of these funds?

Most importantly, WHEN WILL NIGERIANS FEEL THE IMPACT?

More questions than answers.
Nice contribution, in advance countries, investments like this are subject to public discussions and contributions are gathered from every angles before approving an huge investment like this so that the questions above will not arise. Opposite is the case in Nigeria, don't be surprised even if the senate is not aware of it.

Have you forgotten that Boko Haram also use juju? Hasn't your JTF confirmed that? What's wrong if a tribe uses everything it has to fight a war? Is Afenifere only the yoruba group? What is your headache? Can't you carry your load and go to your state that BH will not attack?

ilugunboy: This is really scary....

The grandchildren of those boys are here on NL....am sure some of them are looking at the pix over and over again...and having that weird feeling... grin

That can only explain the wild-animal behaviour of some of them here..
My God, see Igbo's ancestors, no wonder they don't have history. see their forehead na, and they brag and boast like gorrila true true, how will white men not call us all apes? At least white men should know that we had cloths on when they came, and our civilised and well organised culture and kingdom should tell them otherwise with our history. Oyinbo get point die, Ʊche must not see this, he will commit suicide. Cos life don tire him already!
PoliticsRe: OPC Will Defend Yorubaland From Boko-Haram by simeonT: 11:03pm On Mar 24, 2013
coogar: are vigilante groups more effective than the nigerian police?
JTF in the north do not have the backing, support and info the common Lagosians including ur (big-head tribe) will give OPC. Or do you think they just arrested the chadian in Lagos with bomb without info or informant? That's why OPC will be stronger to fight bokoharam in the west than JTF in the North

bestplanb: This is not false story, the bomb shattered a man call Apase,he was the chairman of sand sellers association, they have tried to eliminate him several times but he escaped, one customer called him on fone that he need sands, unknown to him that bomb as been plantd close to his seat. You confirm from Festac police station.
⌣»̶·̵̭̌·̵̭̌✽̤̈̊Ŧђɑ̤̥̈̊п̥̥̲̣̣̣kƨ̣̣̣̇̇̇̇✽̤̈̊·̵̭̌·̵̭̌«̶⌣ got something similar from one of the sand sellers. I think is like cases of NURTW and their Agberos. But using bomb is surprising and it shows that bomb has become pure water for Naija
