RIP. This is simply as a result of over-speeding. Is that not a Prado or land-cruiser Jeep that has just been crushed to look like a Beetle car? ![]() |

According to THE NATION's newspaper of today on page 57, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State shocked many commissioners and special advisers when he presented awards to the few who, he said, distinguished themselves in their stewardship. The Governor, who made the presentation during an appreciation and award ceremony for political appointees at the Ahajioku Center, said the award means automatic reappointment for the recipients. He said "The award is a confirmation that they will be reappointed into their former offices." He said political appointments should not be seen as a call to make wealth but an opportunity to make history through service to humanity and dedication to duty. He said further "I urge you to be more dedicated because these appointment are not sentimentally-driven but issued based to ensure that our people get the best of service anchored on good governance". "Those thinking that the appointment is for building political structures are mistaken. most of the people think that by dancing around me or showing their faces around me every morning to sing praises will excite me and earn them a place. But we have shown Imo people that leadership is all about" There was mild drama shortly after the Governor announced the reappointment of the recipients as visibly disappointed former commissioners and special advisers stormed out of the hall. One of the distraught former appointee, who pleaded for anonymity, told THE NATION that the award did not truly represent the situation on ground. He said "Those who were given the award did not do anything spectacular; neither were they more committed than the others. They were favored by their closeness to the powers-that-be." Those who received the award included Uche Nwose, former commissioner for Land, Housing and Urban Development, Chinedu Offor, former commissioner for information, Culture and Tourism, Ichie Best Mbanaso, former commissioner for Commerce. Others were Okorocha's younger sister Mrs. Ogechi Ololo, former special assistant on Domestics, who emerged overall best special adviser and Nkiru Sylvanus, former special adviser on Public Affairs, among others, |

Wonders they say shall never end. This is Match fixing gone bananas. According to some radio sport reports this morning on HotFm and CoolFm; Four Teams were involved in one of eight groups in the Amateur Division 4 playoffs where only two teams at the end of the day are expected to be promoted to Division 3. Strikers from two teams suddenly found their goal scoring rhythm and started scoring with careless abandon. Check this out: 1. Police Machine FC from Yola obliterated Babayaro FC from Gombe by 67-0 2. Plateau United Feeders from Jos crippled Akurba FC of Nassarawa 79-0 Guys, what are your take. Do you think Keshi missed out on these strikers? Would these be allowed to enter the World Guinness Book of Record? O! boy these strikers wicked The matches were played yesterday. |

obadiah777: BUT HE IS A NIGERIAN. YOU ARE NOT WHERE YOU ARE BORN. YOU ARE YOUR HERITAGE. IF I PLANT AN APPLE SEED IN CHINA WHAT WILL COME OUT ? AN APPLE. IF I PLANT THE SAME APPLE SEED IN NIGERIA WHAT WILL COME OUT ? AN APPLE. YOU ARE NOT WHERE YOU ARE BORN. THATS A PREPOSTEROUS CARNAL AND SHALLOW ASSERTION. WE ALL HAVE LINEAGES. JUST CUZ A CHINESE MAN IS BORN IN NIGERIA DOES NOT MEAN HE IS NIGERIANBros forget all these stories. Yes he has a Nigerian blood; the fact remains, he is a British citizen; born and brought up in Britain. When a child does well, the Father takes the accolade, when he turns bad, he suddenly becomes the Mothers child. Ibegi! Na British citizen. |
I just do hope they are the real culprits. |

Seriously like Bosariayo said above, majority of your followers may just come from other areas of Nigeria. Since, you've been so busy lately with other offline business and finding it difficult to continue with the lectures online; may I suggest you package it in an ebook form and delivering same lectures in its simplest form as you've always been doing at a stipend. We can go back, read it and continue with our question and answer session. Just my thought. |
