..and it's never enough ,we need to smuggle in more.. Local production is not enough, even the farmers are killed and can't go to their farms.
The total quantity of rice produced in Nigeria is not sufficient for Lagos state alone not to talk of the other 35 states and Fct..

Even the Nigeria elite and our so called leaders don't consume local rice, they are even part of the smugglers!

Local rice is filled with dirt and very expensive but nutritious.

The government needs to do more:
Empower the farmers with the necessary machinery and support; make sure it gets to the genuine ones.
Secure our farm lands; farmlands should be safe from bandit and kidnappers
Local rice should not be more expensive than the smuggled one; work on the price..

Fractured my right elbow when I was 8..
Was taken to a pharmacy by an aunt without my parents knowledge and given first aid, thinking it was a minor injury.
After a couple of days my arm was as fat as a mango tree trunk, parents came back from a trip and tok me to a traditional bone setter, he worked on my hand for some week but there was not an excellent result.

Family and friends advised my parents to take me somewhere else. In 2years I was taken to 5 different places and everytime we got to a new place the elbow is rebroken by the traditional bonesetter and the job of setting the bone starts afresh.. For 5 times..
Was in pain all those years till we gave up and allowed the last person do the final work.

Ironically till now you would still notice I have a fractured elbow.. Very very Noticeable.

They all did a poor work on me..

Parents would have taken me to Igbobi but we were told chilling tales of how they handle people, my mom refused.. Lol.

After school every day, we used to play football making my uniform dirty, my father usually ask if I usually roll in the mud during school hours but I usually lied that it was due to the rigorous work on the school farm.

Then a day came, the okada man my dad assigned to be transporting me failed to come but he has contacted my dad earlier in the day that he would not be available. My dad came to the school but most students were already out but he spotted a group of students playing ball near the school field.

I was enjoying the match when the ball went outside for a throw in, I was about picking the ball when I saw a figure that looked like my father, I just stopped suddenly, I couldn't move a nerve, the boys were shouting Wale !!! go and pick the ball,time is going. I did not even acknowledge their protests, I finally wake up from my slumber, my father was looking at me like an hyena ready to pounce on a rabbit.

I was looking for my school bag for almost a minute, little did I know that my bag was used as a marker for goal post, I carried the bag and the boys were shouting, wale!!! where are you going? we do not have another bag for making post!!! I did not even utter a word, later they saw me and my father moving towards the gate, I could hear their voices from the background saying, Wale don die today!!! so na him father dey look us all this while.

This is the funniest.. Lol
