Hey Guys please i am trying to book for visa interview. I just got my Admission letter. The website for visa booking isnt showing available dates. Who has booked recently? is there an email address for bookings? Can i still use my Fintba of winter application?

Please has anyone gotten visa appointments recently? My enrollment deadline is Nov 15, but i sent a mail to d embassy and they said they've closed for winter semester. Please who has any idea on what to do

Hi guys, I'm currently in Germany rounding my Masters in Information Engineering and Computer Sci. My brother wants to come this year and i don't really know how things are done presently in terms of blocked account. He's gotten a letter from uniassist about his precheck now the next is blocked Acct. I'm seeing fintba and all. My time was Deutsch bank. Has anyone used fintba and what's your advice

just to add to the advice folks are giving, from my little experience so far in Germany. Honestly different strokes for different folks. You can club, work and also come out with good grades. If your head no strong for book, my brother just work and pursue germo chic and try get resisdency status fast before your programme ends. as yoruba proverb talk " no be only one road dem dey pass enter mkt" Just have a strategy when you come and stick to what works for you. I've met alot of Nigerians here doing very well, earning more than 2000 euros/month plus the shops they own in the city. They are even married to Nigerians and have kids. So the truth is you can be whatever you want to be in germo. Just have a plan simple. If you are a hustler in lagos and you've been able to survive, then Germany shouldnt be a problem. But this time you just have to be wiser and smarter

please how have you guys been able to change naira to euro at a better rate? these banks are not helping issues and aboki too cost. please any other way out? i need about 1500 euros

Yh, a friend helped me when I was still in Nigeria and very cheap at that too 215 all inclusive. Accommodation here hard to get pass the admission sef I know people who have been here for over a month and still haven't found anything yet.

It's true ooo... don't carry unnecessary things when i consider how much i spent on n extra luggage ehn e just dey pain me. Even all those katangowa "winter" jackets, it'll just be like polo. The cold here no dey gree o and to think that we are not even in winter proper hmmm its not funny o. You'll be wearing socks, sweater, gloves with the heater on before you are close to the normal Nigerian temperature but we shall survive.
school here is serious business sha, I have classes from 8am to 8pm two days in a week and to 6pm on other days... No time for yourself sef... congrats to those who have been granted and welcome to those who are just arriving, we sef are just getting settled in.

It been God all the way. As at when I went for my Visa interview, I didn't have any hope of raising the money. Finally today the AM matter from the embassy arrived just after 48hrs of funding. Thanks to everyone who helped me. And for those still waiting, never Give Up. See you at the other end

Btw, I've done my interview... It was rigorous and tough but to His Glory I received a mail from them to fund my account on the 2nd day after interview.

Here's the issue, I've mailed (regular mail) two different Block Account Opening Form on two different occasions to the DB apart from d first one I sent via the Embassy.

The first ever response I got from DB after almost a month I sent d form via the Embassy was after I mailed them complaining I've not received my account details. To which they responded that I filled an outdated form as a result my account won't be opened. Why wasn't I informed earlier so I could do something about it but nay, I had to mail them to get that response...

I sent them another form, they responded after about 5 working days, saying it can't be opened again because I didn't tick if I was born in the USA (even though I ticked I wasn't a US Citizen).

I sent yet again, a thoroughly and completely filled form which I examined for hours before sending it again via DHL. I even had to show many of my colleagues to help me cross-check just to be sure I did it correctly this time to avoid stories that touches.

My e-family, it is 3 weeks since I sent the last form, no news from DB. I sent my brother to their office in Hamburg (where I sent my form to), he met a brick wall ( he said that place is an enclosed office, no form of banking activities i.e customers/staff bank activities. It is strictly for their staff.)

Having met a brick wall, he had to channel his inquiries to his own branch (he banks with Deutsch Bank). He was advised that I send a mail to the department responsible for d Block account (which I've done twice with no response from them). Again I tried filling non-customers contact form on their website but it was saying my Date of birth wasn't available (probably on their data base or something).

I place a call to my brother, I also gave him a number I got from DB website, so he could talk to them directly this time... On calling them, he dropped my details (My name & DoB) to them. They responded that my info wasn't on their data log. I became perplexed... Mind you, I was hearing all the customer agent was saying because my brother linked me up on phone immediately he got connected to the agent. After all the explanations brother was giving to them ( I was supplying every other personal info as regards my ordeal with DB the agent was asking him which he doesn't have) and at the end she said I should send them another form again.

Like seriously, how could a Bank be this unethical and indesciplined to the extend that a renowned Courier company like DHL will deliver a signed package to them and it won't be recorded and as a result got lost or something... Am beginning to question the competency of some DB staff most particularly the person that signed and receive my form when it was delivered to them.

House Pls, what is the way forward? Is it really possible that such thing could happen... not having my info in their data log. What of the first mail they sent me that I didn't tick 'if I was born in USA'? Does it mean it isn't on their record that my form had been worked on before? What has gone wrong... is it that the customer agent didn't understand the complain or my brother didn't relay the info comprehensively to him/her?

Pls I need advise on what to do. Sending another form what is d guarantee the same thing won't repeat itself again. This would be the third time if I should send them another form. It is really heart-aching to think that someone's incompetence is causing me this untold problem.

It's simple because I had the same . Firstly the issue of your name not found on their system is simply because they haven't successfully opened an account for you. The previous attempts didn't work so your name would not be there. Secondly and most importantly did you sign on four different places in the new account opening form? This issue was what I and a lot of people had previously. So check properly if you did. And if you actually did that, my advice is for you to fill another form and send again through dhl

I can't remember the moniker of that guy that said his alien office requested an additional amount (8400) for his blocked account and he sent 360 on his previous balance of 8040 without any confirmation. The truth is that, he will not get one and will only wait in vain, for that to happen, he will need a supplementary form filled alongside the amount to be transfered. I hope he has requested for the new balance under the contact form.

Now to me, its been over 2 weeks I have been debited with the evdence of my Telex without a reply from the bank for confirmation, deadline no far self. The last time I mentioned it, I didn't get one single suggestion, the ones that commented were more interested in the fact that i could press a panic button which I found not so great, the other guy in same situation had given up already, (you wouldn't imagine how it feels).

I have sent email through the contact form, no reply
Replied the mail they used to send my contact details, no reply
Called my branch directly as predicted they wouldn't disclose info on the phone
Sent email to the embassy ....they said they can't help me.
A very dear friend mobilized some other friends too to check different DB branches around, only one came with a positive reply after standing his ground that he won't leave the bank and would rather die there if they don't give him positive response (true friend)..the bank said the amount remained 15 euros that if that is paid, the problem will be solved, that was on friday and it was paid, and an assurance was given that the confirmation will be sent on Tuesday, today na Wednesday, no reply yet.
I have been a bit calm, but I think this require more drastic actions, October is around the corner for me, for my friend, the trauma have not been easy.
If you reside in Germany or have been through something similar and you have suggestions, please contribute, I have exhausted and applied all my own knowledge on this.

i resent it on the 8th, arrived at db on the 11th. just a copy of my data page

for all 3rd of august account openers, got my account number today

Good evening house and my fellow 3rd of August account openers. Just spoke with my contact in Germany. He said he went to the bank to find out what the problem is and they took my name to check if there is any record and they found none. They suggested that the embassy have not sent the docs and advised i should go to the lagos embassy to find out why the applications and docs have not been sent. That as far as they are concerned, there is no record of my name in their end. Which way forward abeg? our elders in the house @eke and all. Thanks

Good morning everyone. Abeg my fellow 3rd of August 2015 account openers (hope my english correct) what is the way forward? I have sent mail severally to db but no response yet. Has anyone been able to get any explanation for the delay in the account numbers. Or has anyone contacted the embassy in lagos for info? Me i have called someone in Germany and he called the bank. They asked him to visit a branch close to him and give my details that they should have a better explanation. They even told him that its not suppose to take more than three weeks to send the numbers. Would brief you guys on their response when he gets there today.

Check your spam folder. I opened mine on August 12 and I have gotten my info from DB since 28th of August. Have you done your interview? Best of luck

Did my interview today and it was a stroll in the park. The lady in room 1 was just carried away by only God knows what. she repeated so many question she asked before. She was even confused if i was going for Bsc or Masters. i didnt write any test, wasnt asked question about the states in Germany. But she focused on why i want to study another Bachelors and why Germany. Thanks to everyone on this thread for your help. Na to go hustle 8040 euros na him remain. And they held our original docs and told us to go. Met @adexhat, cool dude

Glory to God, interview successfully done today! was interviewed by a guy in room 3; i was d first person to do it with him. He's nice and no much ado on the usual questions, the only aspect that more time was spent on was info about my family (wife, child e.t.c) with respect to them joining. I met @Sirkells there, nice guy!
