One of Nigeria's top Players, Obafemi Martinz has caused stir online as he posted a picture of himself holding a gun, about shooting it with his team mates. He captioned it 'Always On target, Laser tag with my Teammates' frinx:^^^your head is in there It's called Laser Tag Laser tag is a tag game played with lasers. Infrared-sensitive targets are commonly worn by each player and are sometimes integrated within the arena in which the game is played. Laser tag has evolved into both indoor and outdoor styles of play, and may include simulations of combat, role play-style games, or competitive sporting events including tactical configurations and precise game goals. Laser tag is popular with a wide range of ages. When compared to paintball, laser tag is painless because it uses no physical projectiles, and indoor versions may be considered less physically demanding because most indoor venues prohibit running or roughhousing. Following the recent attacks that killed at least 36 persons at a market in Madagali, the Adamawa State government is considering a ban on hijab in ‘flashpoint areas’ as part of measures to prevent attacks by female suicide bombers. Briefing newsmen shortly after an emergency security meeting yesterday in Yola, the Commissioner of Information, Ahmad Sajoh, said government would work with Muslim leaders to take a position that would not infringe on religious rights, saying the fact that the Friday attack was carried out by two female attackers wearing Hijab called for some form of restriction. He said the meeting which was attended by the military, the police and paramilitary agencies looked at the security situation in the state with a view to taking decisions that would ensure security of lives and property especially as the festive period approaches. Genea:Less human...that particular line struck me cz you talk about God yet I see no humility in your words. Are you saying those that hawk are less human?...or are you talking about just how you would feel. Either way, we shouldn't look at ourselves as being too big for anything in life. There are people born without a silver spoon that fend for themselves through one means or the other, but in whatever you do, place your work in God's hands and see him elevate you beyonds human understanding. I know you are entitled to your words and I do understand your point of view, but I would appreciate it better being words of encouragement and advice to her and others in this forum reading this thread to pick up hope and inspiration. |

@dacblogger The world works in a very weird way...when you decide to live life in a way that's good, that's when you face the toughest of challenges that try to pull you down or discourage you. There are those that always put others first, while there are those who feel that until they are okay before they can think about others. It all comes down to recognizing God's law in showing love to others around you...treating them as you would want to treat yourself. Good, bad or even in-betweeen...just live life the way it makes you happy recognizing that what you do is based on your own philosophy and principle about how you live your life. In whatever you do each day, make sure you have no regret for your actions, and don't dwell on expectations of people reciprocating. |
Hmmmm....a whole lot of "yes" It really takes a bad experience to make one regret an action. |

Beamborla:I am not against your opinion on a lady having her choice in a partner, cz I understood what you meant. What others have been trying to make you understand is more about humility in a woman looking to become a wife. What got me a little bit worried was the bolded statement you made...that mindset of you forcing your view on someone who hasn't said such would leave someone with the impression that this is how you think. When you look down on others as less fortunate, that doesn't make you better than them. Poor is not attractive to even the poor not to talk of the rich.@ bolded...I dunno why you keep saying this. I am trying to get ur idea on this, but is that a general thought you have when it comes to marriage? In a person, one should be looking out for the personality/character and how the person builds and complements you. Rich or poor, no one knows who God has destined to be their partner. We just have to open our eyes and heart to see that diamond in the rough. That poor person might be the one that lifts you up beyond your imagination...it might not be the person's billion dollar idea, but maybe the peace the person brings to the home. Weird enough, I have heard ladies make your last statement over and over, and many opting out cz they want a life of comfort...but only few good ones see the grace behind a hardworking man trying to make things better for his family. |
I have no problem with Linda setting standards...it's her choice in life & one has to be careful about marriage issues. My wahala is where she says; ''He must be successful, he must be a good man, in the sense that he must be supportive of me, if he tries to stifle me then I’m out. Lastly, he has to be a man that likes sex and must be very good at it.”How would she know that the person is that good in bed if she doesn't have sex before marriage? Cz this goes beyond looking at the size of sum1's cassava or just plain talking about sex. What if she marries sum1 that doesn't meet up to her expectation? The issue remains that she needs to understand that no one is perfect. Marriage takes a whole lot, and it takes a humble lady to know it's not easy being a Hebrew woman. She needs to put everything to God in prayers, cz it takes two to make a marriage work. |
Raine80:Don't mind my many questions, I just wanted to hear your view on things ![]() So, what if??...one is liberal in communication such that he/she tells the partner a habit/character they admire in another person As no one is perfect, does one try to change for the partner (saying it's out of love) or just be indifferent (being yourself)? |
Raine80:Okay, that's understandable.....but what if that admiration comes with a comparison to your partner. That would sure bring up some other feelings |
Raine80:I love the thought to your words....but how do you justify admiration? & secondly, in a case where you're in a relationship with sum1 but have a crush on another based on certain attributes/qualities |
After sex....your love for her grew I'm curious, how do you define love? @StupidYorubaFool |
My only problem with the whole situation from the start is why she let herself be in a compromising position? If the video was the criteria for winning the crown, she ought to have maintained her decency and left...after all, first things first is that she is in school to develop herself to become greater than that crown in future, so why throw it away? I believe that the parents are the ones sending her to school, so it's a problem when something else gets you kicked out of school before graduation. |
This is a welcome development ![]() |
Brain drain!....well depends on how you look at it For those that have schooled in naija & abroad you can definitely see the difference. Evrytime there is always news about Nigerians excelling abroad & making a difference, but here in our home country we are not given the proper platform to show our worth and break boundaries/limits. I know a lot of people that can be more than they are in different fields, but I guess it's all the 9ja mentality. Weird ![]() It's not the people that have a long way to go...rather the system we operate over here |
dedons:Bia...match brake first. I wonder what were your issues from the get go...what were the major things that bothered you & got u here in the first place? Is it just about the age difference...or is there sumthing more to it? Marriage is for a lifetime & for couples willing to get into it, they should know what they are up against. It comes with a whole lot of commitment, sacrifice and responsibility. How much do you know about each other & how willing are you both to live with your differences. As life might not be so rosey everyday, how do you both handle communication in conflict? What are your plans for the future? Do you both discuss about goals you want to achieve Is she the type that you can trust when in school, or are you the type that gets jealous with every friend you see around her? I could go on with the questions, but be mindful that people change with time...and we all spend a lifetime learning about each other. So, in the end it's not a question people answer for you cz no one knows her like you do... are you both ready for marriage? |
Naijatalktalk:I do admire a lady with principles and values, especially not using her tools to keep a man down in her age, but I believe her reason should transcend her pleasing her mother...more like a spiritual commitment to honor the sanctity of marriage as a bride. |
He na BABA FOR THE GIRLS Make una no make that kain mistake again ![]() |
@ OP, hope you won't be the type to let loose on your wedding day? ![]() Don't mind me joking, I do appreciate your principle But as regards marriage, what if you don't see what you want in that virgin you met? Having a life with sum1 goes beyond virginity, it's building a home with some1 who complements you & brings out the best in you
|
Hmmm....I wonder what his reaction would be if you shock him with false news of a pregnancy. Seriously though, I wonder if he considers a future with you...or you are just a means of release for the moment. Try talking to him about how you feel about his libido & yours. Love takes understanding & sacrifice...let's see how much of that he has? |
LifestyleTonite:Hmmm....this brings another question to mind "If angels had their freedom in heaven, does it mean there can still be sin in heaven?" I'm just asking for the fun of it ![]() |
Wait...is it the same northern bokoharam that salivate for young young things? This is really a change government ![]() |
Emeonyerichard:Weird enough, couples need a platform to learn a thing or two...& I dunno how best to classify the act of watching porn or even kamasutra as married couples cz from christian teachings...the act of watching is in itself sinful The issue is that the Bible doesn't have any guidelines on sex, & the most obvious position still remains the missionary. I guess majority in some way had exposure to explicit actions sometime b4 marriage & that's why @ the mention of a position, people are quite familiar with it. As Greatzeus pointed out, one of the spouse might become less content with what they are getting in the bedroom (unmet expectation) as they yearn for the feeling of what they saw on tv |
